Psalm 66
1 Dem Musikmeister; ein Lied, ein Psalm. Jauchzet Gott, ihr Lande alle!
To him that excelleth. A song or Psalme. Rejoice in God, all ye inhabitants of the earth.
2 Lobsinget der Ehre seines Namens,
Sing forth the glory of his name: make his praise glorious.
3 Sprechet zu Gott: »Wie wunderbar ist dein Walten! Ob der Fülle deiner Macht huldigen dir sogar deine Feinde.
Say vnto God, Howe terrible art thou in thy workes! through the greatnesse of thy power shall thine enemies be in subiection vnto thee.
4 Alle Lande müssen vor dir sich niederwerfen und dir lobsingen, lobsingen deinem Namen!« (SELA)
All the worlde shall worship thee, and sing vnto thee, euen sing of thy Name. (Selah)
5 Kommt und schauet die Großtaten Gottes, der wunderbar ist im Walten über den Menschenkindern!
Come and beholde the workes of God: he is terrible in his doing towarde the sonnes of men.
6 Er wandelte das Meer in trocknes Land, so daß man den Strom zu Fuß durchzog; drum wollen wir uns freun!
He hath turned the Sea into drie land: they passe through the riuer on foote: there did we reioyce in him.
7 Ewig herrscht er in seiner Macht; seine Augen haben acht auf die Völker: die Widerspenstigen dürfen sich nicht stolz erheben. (SELA)
He ruleth the worlde with his power: his eyes beholde the nations: the rebellious shall not exalt them selues. (Selah)
8 Preiset, ihr Völker, unsern Gott, laßt laut seinen Ruhm erschallen,
Prayse our God, ye people, and make the voyce of his prayse to be heard.
9 ihn, der unsre Seele am Leben erhalten und unsern Fuß nicht hat wanken lassen.
Which holdeth our soules in life, and suffereth not our feete to slippe.
10 Wohl hast du uns geprüft, o Gott, uns geläutert, wie man Silber läutert;
For thou, O God, hast proued vs, thou hast tryed vs as siluer is tryed.
11 du hast uns ins Netz geraten lassen, hast drückende Last auf unsern Rücken gelegt;
Thou hast brought vs into the snare, and layed a strait chaine vpon our loynes.
12 Menschen hast du hinfahren lassen über unser Haupt, durch Feuer und Wasser haben wir ziehen müssen: doch endlich hast du uns ins Freie hinausgeführt.
Thou hast caused men to ryde ouer our heads: we went into fire and into water, but thou broughtest vs out into a welthie place.
13 Ich komme mit Brandopfern in dein Haus, entrichte dir meine Gelübde,
I will go into thine House with burnt offrings, and will pay thee my vowes,
14 zu denen meine Lippen sich verpflichtet haben, und die mein Mund verheißen in meiner Not.
Which my lippes haue promised, and my mouth hath spoken in mine affliction.
15 Brandopfer von Mastvieh will ich dir bringen samt dem Opferduft von Widdern; Rinder samt Böcken will ich zubereiten. (SELA)
I will offer vnto thee the burnt offerings of fat rammes with incense: I will prepare bullocks and goates. (Selah)
16 Kommt her und höret, ihr Gottesfürchtigen alle: ich will erzählen, was er an meiner Seele getan!
Come and hearken, all ye that feare God, and I will tell you what he hath done to my soule.
17 Zu ihm hab’ ich laut mit meinem Munde gerufen, während Lobpreis schon auf meiner Zunge lag.
I called vnto him with my mouth, and he was exalted with my tongue.
18 Wäre mein Sinn auf Böses gerichtet gewesen, so hätte der Allherr mich nicht erhört.
If I regard wickednesse in mine heart, the Lord will not heare me.
19 Aber Gott hat mich erhört, hat geachtet auf mein lautes Flehen.
But God hath heard me, and considered the voyce of my prayer.
20 Gepriesen sei Gott, der mein Flehen nicht verworfen und seine Gnade mir nicht versagt hat!
Praysed be God, which hath not put backe my prayer, nor his mercie from me.
