Psalm 63
1 Ein Psalm Davids, als er in der Wüste Juda war. O Gott, du bist mein Gott: dich suche ich,
A Psalme of David. When he was in the wildernesse of Judah. O God, thou art my God, earely will I seeke thee: my soule thirsteth for thee: my flesh longeth greatly after thee in a barren and drye land without water.
2 So hab’ ich nach dir im Heiligtum ausgeschaut, um deine Macht und Herrlichkeit zu erblicken;
Thus I beholde thee as in the Sanctuarie, when I beholde thy power and thy glorie.
3 denn deine Gnade ist besser als das Leben: meine Lippen sollen dich rühmen.
For thy louing kindnesse is better then life: therefore my lippes shall prayse thee.
4 So will ich dich preisen mein Leben lang, in deinem Namen meine Hände erheben.
Thus will I magnifie thee all my life, and lift vp mine hands in thy name.
5 Wie an Mark und Fett ersättigt sich meine Seele, und mit jubelnden Lippen lobpreist mein Mund,
My soule shalbe satisfied, as with marowe and fatnesse, and my mouth shall praise thee with ioyfull lippes,
6 so oft ich deiner gedenke auf meinem Lager, in den Stunden der Nacht über dich sinne;
When I remember thee on my bedde, and when I thinke vpon thee in the night watches.
7 denn du bist mir ein Helfer gewesen, und im Schatten deiner Flügel darf ich jubeln.
Because thou hast bene mine helper, therefore vnder the shadow of thy wings wil I reioyce.
8 Meine Seele klammert sich an dich, aufrecht hält mich deine rechte Hand.
My soule cleaueth vnto thee: for thy right hand vpholdeth me.
9 Doch sie, die nach dem Leben mir trachten, mich zu verderben, sie werden in der Erde unterste Tiefen fahren.
Therefore they that seeke my soule to destroy it, they shall goe into the lowest partes of the earth.
10 Man wird sie der Schärfe des Schwerts überliefern; die Beute der Schakale werden sie sein.
They shall cast him downe with the edge of the sword, and they shall be a portion for foxes.
11 Der König dagegen wird Gottes sich freuen: Ruhm wird ernten ein jeder, der bei ihm schwört; den Lügnern dagegen wird der Mund gestopft werden.
But the King shall reioyce in God, and all that sweare by him shall reioyce in him: for the mouth of them that speake lyes, shall be stopped.
