Psalm 148

1 Halleluja! Lobet den HERRN vom Himmel her, lobet ihn in den Himmelshöhen!

Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heauen: prayse ye him in the high places.

2 Lobet ihn, alle seine Engel, lobet ihn, alle seine Heerscharen!

Prayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie.

3 Lobet ihn, Sonne und Mond, lobet ihn, alle ihr leuchtenden Sterne!

Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres.

4 Lobet ihn, ihr Himmel der Himmel, und ihr Wasser oberhalb des Himmels!

Prayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens.

5 Loben sollen sie den Namen des HERRN, denn er gebot, da waren sie geschaffen,

Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

6 und er hat sie hingestellt für immer und ewig und ihnen ein Gesetz gegeben, das übertreten sie nicht.

And he hath established them for euer and euer: he hath made an ordinance, which shall not passe.

7 Lobet den HERRN von der Erde her, ihr Seeungeheuer und alle Meeresfluten,

Prayse ye the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all depths:

8 du Feuer und Hagel, du Schnee und Nebel, du Sturmwind, der sein Gebot vollzieht;

Fire and hayle, snowe and vapours, stormie winde, which execute his worde:

9 ihr Berge und Hügel allesamt, ihr Fruchtbäume und Zedern allzumal,

Mountaines and all hils, fruitfull trees and all ceders:

10 ihr Tiere alle, wilde und zahme, du Gewürm und ihr beschwingte Vögel,

Beasts and all cattell, creeping things and fethered foules:

11 ihr Könige der Erde und alle Völkerschaften, ihr Fürsten und alle Richter auf Erden,

Kings of the earth and all people, princes and all iudges of the worlde:

12 ihr Jünglinge mitsamt den Jungfrauen, ihr Greise samt den Jungen!

Yong men and maidens, also olde men and children:

13 Sie alle sollen loben den Namen des HERRN, denn sein Name allein ist erhaben; seine Hoheit überragt die Erde und den Himmel.

Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for his Name onely is to be exalted, and his prayse aboue the earth and the heauens.

14 Er hat sein Volk aufs neue zu Ehren gebracht: ein Ruhm ist das für alle seine Frommen, für Israels Söhne, das Volk, das am nächsten ihm steht. Halleluja!

For he hath exalted the horne of his people, which is a prayse for all his Saintes, euen for the children of Israel, a people that is neere vnto him. Prayse ye the Lord.
