Psalm 130

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Aus der Tiefe rufe ich, HERR, zu dir:

A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried to thee, O LORD.

2 »Allherr, höre auf meine Stimme,

LORD, hear my voice: let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 Wenn du, HERR, Sünden behalten willst, o Allherr, wer kann bestehn!

If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O LORD, who shall stand?

4 Doch bei dir ist die Vergebung, auf daß man dich fürchte.

But [there is] forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 Ich harre des HERRN, meine Seele harrt, und ich warte auf sein Wort;

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6 meine Seele harrt auf den Allherrn sehnsuchtsvoller als Wächter auf den Morgen.

My soul [waiteth] for the LORD more than they that watch for the morning: [I say], [more than] they that watch for the morning.

7 Sehnsuchtsvoller als Wächter auf den Morgen harre, Israel, auf den HERRN! Denn beim HERRN ist die Gnade und Erlösung bei ihm in Fülle,

Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD [there is] mercy, and with him [is] plenteous redemption.

8 und er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Sünden.

And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
