Psalm 119
1 Wohl denen, deren Wandel unsträflich ist, die einhergehn im Gesetz des HERRN!
Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Wohl denen, die seine Zeugnisse beobachten, die mit ganzem Herzen ihn suchen,
Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.
3 die auch kein Unrecht verüben, sondern auf seinen Wegen gehen!
For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.
4 Du selbst hast deine Befehle erlassen, daß man sie sorglich befolge.
Thou hast commanded [us] diligently to keep thy precepts.
5 Ach möchte doch mein Wandel fest sein in der Befolgung deiner Satzungen!
O that my ways were directed to keep thine ordinances.
6 Dann werde ich nicht beschämt sein, wenn ich alle deine Gebote vor Augen habe.
Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.
7 Ich will dir aufrichtigen Herzens danken, indem ich die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit lerne.
I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learnt the judgments of thy righteousness.
8 Deine Satzungen will ich halten: verlaß mich nicht ganz und gar!
I will keep thine ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.
9 Wie wird ein Jüngling seinen Wandel rein gestalten? Wenn er ihn führt nach deinem Wort.
Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping thy words.
10 Mit ganzem Herzen suche ich dich: laß mich von deinen Geboten nicht abirren!
With my whole heart have I diligently sought thee: cast me not away from thy commandments.
11 In meinem Herzen wahre ich dein Wort, um mich nicht gegen dich zu verfehlen.
I have hidden thine oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Gepriesen seist du, o HERR: lehre mich deine Satzungen!
Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thine ordinances.
13 Mit meinen Lippen zähle ich her alle Rechte deines Mundes.
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 An dem Wege deiner Zeugnisse habe ich Freude wie über irgendwelchen Reichtum.
I have delighted in the way of thy testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.
15 Über deine Befehle will ich sinnen und achten auf deine Pfade.
I will meditate on thy commandments, and consider thy ways.
16 An deinen Satzungen habe ich meine Lust, will deine Worte nicht vergessen.
I will meditate on thine ordinances: I will not forget thy words.
17 Tu Gutes an deinem Knecht, auf daß ich leben bleibe, so will ich deine Worte befolgen.
Render a recompense to thy servant: [so] shall I live, and keep thy words.
18 Öffne mir die Augen, daß ich klar erkenne die Wunder in deinem Gesetz.
Unveil thou mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of thy law.
19 Ich bin nur ein Gast auf Erden: verbirg deine Gebote nicht vor mir.
I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 Meine Seele verzehrt sich vor Sehnsucht nach deinen Rechten allezeit.
My soul has longed exceedingly for thy judgments at all times.
21 Gedroht hast du den Stolzen; verflucht sind, die von deinen Geboten abweichen.
Thou has rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from thy commandments.
22 Wälze Schmach und Verachtung von mir ab, denn ich beobachte deine Zeugnisse.
Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out thy testimonies.
23 Mögen auch Fürsten sitzen und wider mich beraten: dein Knecht sinnt doch über deine Satzungen nach.
For princes sat and spoke against me: but thy servant was meditating on thine ordinances.
24 Ja, deine Zeugnisse sind meine Freude, meine Ratgeber sind sie.
For thy testimonies are my (meditation) and thine ordinances are my counsellors.
25 Mein Mut ist in den Staub gesunken: belebe mich wieder nach deinem Wort.
My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken thou me according to thy word.
26 Ich habe dir meine Lage geschildert, da hast du mich erhört: lehre mich deine Satzungen.
I declared my ways, and thou didst hear me: teach me thine ordinances.
27 Laß mich den Weg verstehn, den deine Befehle gebieten, so will ich sinnen über deine Wunder.
Instruct me in the way of thine ordinances; and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.
28 Mein Herz zerfließt vor Kummer in Tränen; richte mich auf nach deinen Worten.
My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen thou me with thy words.
29 Den Weg der Lüge halte fern von mir, doch begnade mich mit deinem Gesetz!
Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by thy law.
30 Den Weg der Treue habe ich erwählt, deine Rechte unanstößig befunden.
I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten thy judgments.
31 Ich halte fest an deinen Zeugnissen: HERR, laß mich nicht zuschanden werden!
I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.
32 Den Weg deiner Gebote will ich laufen, denn du machst mir weit das Herz.
I ran the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.
33 Lehre mich, HERR, den Weg deiner Satzungen, so will ich ihn innehalten bis ans Ende.
Teach me, O Lord, the way of thine ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.
34 Verleihe mir Einsicht, damit ich deine Weisung beachte und sie mit ganzem Herzen befolge.
Instruct me, and I will search out thy law, and will keep it with my whole heart.
35 Laß mich wandeln auf dem Pfade deiner Gebote, denn an diesem habe ich meine Freude.
Guide me in the path of thy commandments; for I have delighted in it.
36 Neige mein Herz deinen Zeugnissen zu und nicht zur Gewinnsucht.
Incline mine heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Wende meine Augen ab, daß sie nicht nach Eitlem schauen; belebe mich auf deinen Wegen.
Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken thou me in thy way.
38 Erfülle an deinem Knechte deine Verheißung, die darauf abzielt, daß man dich fürchte.
Confirm thine oracle to thy servant, that he may fear thee.
39 Wende ab meine Schmach, vor der mir graut; denn deine Rechte sind heilsam.
Take away my reproach which I have feared: for thy judgments are good.
40 Fürwahr, ich sehne mich nach deinen Befehlen: belebe mich durch deine Gerechtigkeit!
Behold, I have desired thy commandments: quicken me in thy righteousness.
41 Laß deine Gnadenerweise mir widerfahren, o HERR, deine Hilfe nach deinem Wort,
And let thy mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 daß ich dem, der mich schmäht, zu antworten weiß; denn ich verlasse mich auf dein Wort.
And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in thy words.
43 Und entzieh meinem Munde nicht ganz das Wort der Wahrheit; denn ich harre auf deine Rechte.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever.
44 Und befolgen will ich dein Gesetz beständig, immer und ewiglich;
45 so werde ich wandeln auf freier Bahn; denn ich habe mich stets um deine Befehle gekümmert;
I walked also at large: for I sought out thy commandments.
46 und ich will von deinen Zeugnissen reden vor Königen, ohne mich zu scheuen;
And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.
47 denn ich habe meine Freude an deinen Geboten, die mir lieb sind,
And I meditated on thy commandments, which I loved exceedingly.
48 und hebe meine Hände auf zu deinen Geboten, [die mir lieb sind, ] will über deine Satzungen sinnen.
And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments which I loved; and I meditated in thine ordinances.
49 Halte deinem Knecht getreulich dein Wort, auf das du mich hast hoffen lassen!
Remember thy words to thy servant, wherein thou hast made me hope.
50 Das ist mein Trost in meinem Elend, daß dein Wort mich neu belebt hat.
This has comforted me in mine affliction: for thine oracle has quickened me.
51 Die Übermüt’gen verspotten mich maßlos, doch ich bin von deinem Gesetz nicht abgewichen.
The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from thy law.
52 Gedenke ich deiner Rechte aus der Vorzeit, so fühle ich mich, o HERR, getröstet.
I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.
53 Heißer Zorn erfaßt mich wegen der Gottlosen, die dein Gesetz verlassen haben.
Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake thy law.
54 Deine Satzungen sind mir zu Lobgesängen geworden im Hause meiner Pilgerschaft.
Thine ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.
55 In der Nacht sogar gedenke ich deines Namens, o HERR, und befolge dein Gesetz.
I remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and kept thy law.
56 Das ist mir zuteil geworden, daß ich deine Befehle befolgt habe.
This I had, because I diligently sought thine ordinances.
57 Meine Aufgabe ist, o HERR, ich bekenne es, deine Worte zu befolgen.
Thou art my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep thy law.
58 Von ganzem Herzen fleh’ ich dich an: »Sei mir gnädig nach deiner Verheißung!«
I besought thy favour with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to thy word.
59 Ich habe über meine Wege nachgedacht und lenke (daher) meine Schritte zu deinen Zeugnissen zurück.
I thought on thy ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.
60 Ich eile und säume nicht, deine Gebote zu befolgen.
I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep thy commandments.
61 Die Fallstricke der Gottlosen umringen mich; dennoch vergesse ich dein Gesetz nicht.
The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not thy law.
62 In der Mitte der Nacht stehe ich auf, um dir zu danken für die Verordnungen deiner Gerechtigkeit.
At midnight I arose, to give thanks to thee for the judgments of thy righteousness.
63 Befreundet bin ich mit allen, die dich fürchten, und mit denen, die deine Befehle befolgen.
I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy commandments.
64 Deiner Gnade, o HERR, ist die Erde voll: lehre mich deine Satzungen!
O Lord, the earth is full of thy mercy: teach me thine ordinances.
65 Gutes hast du an deinem Knechte getan, o HERR, nach deiner Verheißung.
Thou hast wrought kindly with thy servant, o Lord, according to thy word.
66 Rechte Einsicht und Erkenntnis lehre mich, denn ich vertraue auf deine Gebote.
Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Bevor ich gedemütigt wurde, ging ich irre; jetzt aber beobachte ich dein Wort.
Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept thy word.
68 Du bist gütig und erweisest Gutes: lehre mich deine Satzungen!
Good art thou, O Lord; therefore in thy goodness teach me thine ordinances.
69 Lügen haben die Stolzen gegen mich erdichtet, ich aber befolge deine Befehle mit ganzem Herzen.
The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out thy commandments with all my heart.
70 Unempfindlich wie von Fett ist ihr Herz, ich aber habe Freude an deinem Gesetz.
Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on thy law.
71 Gut war’s für mich, daß ich gedemütigt wurde, damit ich deine Satzungen lernte.
[It is] good for me that thou hast afflicted me; that I might learn thine ordinances.
72 Die Weisung deines Mundes ist mir lieber als Tausende von Gold- und Silberstücken.
The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Deine Hände haben mich geschaffen und gebildet: verleihe mir nun auch Einsicht, daß ich deine Gebote lerne!
Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Die dich fürchten, werden mich sehen und sich freun; denn ich habe auf dein Wort geharrt.
They that fear thee will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in thy words.
75 Ich weiß, o HERR, daß deine Gerichte gerecht sind und du mich in Treue gedemütigt hast.
I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are righteousness, and [that] thou in truthfulness hast afflicted me.
76 Laß doch deine Gnade mir Trost gewähren, wie du deinem Knechte verheißen hast!
Let, I pray thee, thy mercy be to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 Laß mir dein Erbarmen widerfahren, daß ich auflebe, denn dein Gesetz ist meine Lust.
Let thy compassions come to me, that I may live: for thy law is my (meditation)
78 Laß die Stolzen zuschanden werden, weil sie ohne Grund mich niederdrücken; ich aber sinne über deine Befehle.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in thy commandments.
79 Laß mir sich zuwenden, die dich fürchten und die deine Zeugnisse anerkennen!
Let those that fear thee, and those that know thy testimonies, turn to me.
80 Mein Herz halte treu an deinen Satzungen fest, auf daß ich nicht zuschanden werde.
Let mine heart be blameless in thine ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.
81 Meine Seele schmachtet nach deiner Hilfe: ich harre auf dein Wort.
My soul faints for thy salvation: I have hoped in thy words.
82 Meine Augen schmachten nach deiner Verheißung, indem ich frage: »Wann wirst du mich trösten?«
Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Bin ich auch wie ein Schlauch im Rauch geworden, hab’ ich doch deine Satzungen nicht vergessen.
For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
84 Wie viele sind noch der Lebenstage deines Knechts? Wann hältst du Gericht über meine Verfolger?
How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?
85 Übermütige haben mir Gruben gegraben, sie, die sich nicht nach deinem Gesetz verhalten.
Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to thy law, O Lord.
86 Alle deine Gebote sind Wahrheit; mit Lüge verfolgt man mich: so hilf mir!
All thy commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help thou me.
87 Fast hätten sie mich im Lande umgebracht; doch ich verlasse deine Befehle nicht.
They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not thy commandments.
88 Nach deiner Gnade erhalte mich am Leben, so will ich das Zeugnis deines Mundes befolgen.
Quicken me according to thy mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
89 Auf ewige Zeit, o HERR, steht fest dein Wort im Himmel.
Thy word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.
90 Von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht währt deine Treue; du hast die Erde festgestellt, und sie steht;
Thy truth [endures] to all generations; thou hast founded the earth, and it abides.
91 nach deinen Verordnungen stehn sie noch heute, denn alle Dinge sind dir dienstbar.
The day continues by thy arrangement; for all things are thy servants.
92 Wäre dein Gesetz nicht meine Freude gewesen, so wär’ ich in meinem Elend vergangen.
Were it not that thy law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.
93 Niemals will ich deine Befehle vergessen, denn durch sie hast du mich neu belebt.
I will never forget thine ordinances; for with them thou hast quickened me.
94 Dein bin ich: hilf mir! Denn ich beachte deine Verordnungen.
I am thine, save me; for I have sought out thine ordinances.
95 Gottlose lauern mir auf, um mich umzubringen, ich aber achte auf deine Zeugnisse.
Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood thy testimonies.
96 Von allem Vollkomm’nen habe ich eine Grenze gesehn; doch dein Gebot ist völlig unbeschränkt.
have seen an end of all perfection; [but] thy commandment is very broad.
97 Wie habe ich dein Gesetz so lieb! Den ganzen Tag ist es mein Sinnen.
How I have loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
98 Weiser, als meine Feinde sind, machen mich deine Gebote, denn mein sind sie für immer.
Thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies [in] thy commandment; for it is mine for ever.
99 Verständiger bin ich als alle meine Lehrer, denn deine Zeugnisse sind mein Sinnen.
I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my medication.
100 Mehr Einsicht besitz’ ich als die Greise; denn ich beobachte deine Befehle.
I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out thy commandments.
101 Von jedem bösen Pfade halte ich meinen Fuß fern, um dein Wort zu befolgen.
I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy words.
102 Von deinen Rechten weiche ich nicht ab, denn du hast mich belehrt.
I have not declined from thy judgments; for thou hast instructed me.
103 Wie süß sind deine Worte meinem Gaumen, süßer als Honig meinem Munde!
How sweet are thine oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!
104 Aus deinen Befehlen gewinne ich Einsicht; darum hasse ich jeglichen Lügenpfad.
I gain understanding by thy commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.
105 Dein Wort ist meines Fußes Leuchte und ein Licht auf meinem Wege.
Thy law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
106 Ich habe geschworen und den Vorsatz gefaßt, den Verordnungen deiner Gerechtigkeit treu zu bleiben.
I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of thy righteousness.
107 Ich bin gar tief gebeugt: o HERR, belebe mich wieder nach deiner Verheißung!
I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to thy word.
108 Laß, HERR, dir gefallen die willigen Opfer meines Mundes und lehre mich deine Rechte!
Accept, I pray thee, O Lord, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.
109 Ich schwebe beständig in Todesgefahr, doch dein Gesetz vergesse ich nicht.
My soul is continually in thine hands; and I have not forgotten thy law.
110 Die Gottlosen haben mir Schlingen gelegt, aber von deinen Befehlen irre ich nicht ab.
Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from thy commandments.
111 Deine Zeugnisse sind mein ewiger Erbbesitz, denn sie sind die Wonne meines Herzens.
I have inherited thy testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.
112 Ich neige mein Herz dazu, deine Satzungen zu erfüllen immerdar bis ans Ende.
I have inclined my heart to perform thine ordinances for ever, in return [for thy mercies].
113 Die Doppelherzigen hasse ich, aber dein Gesetz ist mir lieb.
I have hated transgressors; but I have loved thy law.
114 Mein Schirm und Schild bist du; auf dein Wort harre ich.
Thou art my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in thy words.
115 Weicht von mir, ihr Übeltäter! Ich will die Gebote meines Gottes halten.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.
116 Stütze mich nach deiner Verheißung, daß ich lebe, und laß mich nicht in meiner Hoffnung getäuscht werden!
Uphold me according to thy word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.
117 Stärke mich, auf daß ich Heil erlange, und laß mich stets auf deine Satzungen achten!
Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in thine ordinances continually.
118 Du verwirfst alle, die von deinen Satzungen abirren; denn erfolglos ist ihre Täuschung.
Thou hast brought to nought all that depart from thine ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.
119 Wie Schlacken räumst du alle Gottlosen des Landes hinweg; darum liebe ich deine Zeugnisse.
I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved thy testimonies.
120 Aus Furcht vor dir schaudert mein Leib, und mir ist bange vor deinen Gerichten.
Penetrate my flesh with thy fear; for I am afraid of thy judgments.
121 Ich habe Recht und Gerechtigkeit geübt: gib mich nicht meinen Bedrückern preis!
I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.
122 Tritt für deinen Knecht zu seinem Heile ein, laß die Stolzen mir nicht Gewalt antun!
Receive thy servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.
123 Meine Augen schmachten nach deiner Rettung und nach der Bestätigung deiner Gerechtigkeit.
Mine eyes have failed for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
124 Verfahre mit deinem Knecht nach deiner Gnade und lehre mich deine Satzungen!
Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thine ordinances.
125 Dein Knecht bin ich, verleihe mir Einsicht, damit ich deine Zeugnisse verstehen lerne.
I am thy servant; instruct me, and I shall know thy testimonies.
126 Zeit ist’s für den HERRN, zu handeln: sie haben ja dein Gesetz gebrochen.
[It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken thy law.
127 Darum liebe ich deine Gebote mehr als Gold und als Feingold.
Therefore have I loved thy commandments more than gold, or the topaz.
128 Darum schätze ich alle deine Befehle als richtig; jeder Lügenpfad ist mir verhaßt.
Therefore I directed myself [according] to all thy commandments: I have hated every unjust way.
129 Wunderwerke sind deine Zeugnisse; darum hält mein Herz an ihnen fest.
Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.
130 Die Erschließung deiner Worte erleuchtet, verleiht den Einfältigen Einsicht.
The manifestation of thy words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.
131 Ich tue meinen Mund weit auf und lechze, denn mich verlangt nach deinen Geboten.
I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after thy commandments.
132 Wende dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig, wie es recht ist bei denen, die deinen Namen lieben!
Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love thy name.
133 Laß meine Schritte fest sein durch dein Wort und laß nichts Trügerisches über mich herrschen.
Order my steps according to thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Erlöse mich von der Bedrückung der Menschen, so will ich deine Befehle befolgen.
Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep thy commandments.
135 Laß dein Angesicht leuchten gegen deinen Knecht und lehre mich deine Satzungen.
Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thine ordinances.
136 Tränenströme rinnen aus meinen Augen, weil viele dein Gesetz nicht befolgen.
Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not thy law.
137 Gerecht bist du, o HERR, und richtig sind deine Rechte.
Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.
138 In Gerechtigkeit hast du deine Zeugnisse verordnet und in unerschütterlicher Treue.
Thou has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] thy testimonies.
139 Mich verzehrt mein Eifer, weil meine Gegner deine Worte vergessen.
Thy zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
140 Dein Wort ist wohlgeläutert, und dein Knecht hat es lieb.
Thy word [has been] very fully tried; and thy servant loves it.
141 Gering bin ich und verachtet, doch deine Befehle vergesse ich nicht.
I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
142 Deine Gerechtigkeit ist ewige Gerechtigkeit, und dein Gesetz ist Wahrheit.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.
143 Wenn Leiden und Not mich getroffen haben, sind deine Gebote dennoch meine Freude.
Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] thy commandments [were] my (meditation)
144 Deine Zeugnisse bleiben immerdar gerecht: verleihe mir Verständnis, so werde ich leben.
Thy testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.
145 Ich rufe von ganzem Herzen: »Erhöre mich, HERR!« Deine Satzungen will ich beobachten.
I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out thine ordinances.
146 Ich rufe zu dir: »Hilf mir! So will ich deine Zeugnisse beobachten.«
I cried to thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.
147 Früh bin ich auf vor Tagesanbruch und flehe laut; auf dein Wort harre ich.
I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in thy words.
148 Meine Augen wachen die ganze Nacht hindurch, um über dein Wort nachzusinnen.
Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on thine oracles.
149 Höre meine Stimme nach deiner Gnade! O HERR, nach deinen Rechten laß mich aufleben!
Hear my voice, O Lord, according to thy mercy; quicken me according to thy judgment.
150 Mir haben sich Leute genaht, die der Arglist frönen: von deinem Gesetz sind sie fern;
They have drawn nigh who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from thy law.
151 doch du bist mir nahe, o HERR, und alle deine Gebote sind Wahrheit.
Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy ways are truth.
152 Längst weiß ich aus deinen Zeugnissen, daß du sie für ewig festgestellt hast.
I have known of old concerning thy testimonies, that thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Sieh mein Elend an und errette mich! Denn dein Gesetz vergesse ich nicht.
Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten thy law.
154 Führe meine Sache und erlöse mich, schenke mir neues Leben nach deiner Verheißung!
Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of thy word.
155 Den Gottlosen bleibt die Hilfe fern, denn sie kümmern sich nicht um deine Satzungen.
Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out thine ordinances.
156 Deine Barmherzigkeit ist groß, o HERR: nach deinen Rechten belebe mich wieder!
Thy mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to thy judgment.
157 Groß ist meiner Verfolger und Gegner Zahl, doch von deinen Zeugnissen geh’ ich nicht ab.
Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from thy testimonies.
158 Wenn ich Treulose sehe, so fühle ich Abscheu, weil sie dein Wort nicht befolgen.
I beheld men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not thine oracles.
159 Sieh her, ich liebe deine Befehle: HERR, schenke mir neues Leben nach deiner Gnade!
Behold, I have loved thy commandments, O Lord: quicken me in thy mercy.
160 Der ganze Inhalt deines Wortes ist Wahrheit, und ewig gilt jede Verordnung deiner Gerechtigkeit.
The beginning of thy words is truth; and all the judgments of thy righteousness [endure] for ever.
161 Fürsten haben mich ohne Ursach’ verfolgt; doch nur vor deinen Worten erbebt mein Herz.
Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of thy words.
162 Ich freue mich über dein Wort wie einer, der große Beute gewinnt.
I will exult because of thine oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
163 Lügen hasse und verabscheue ich, aber dein Gesetz ist mir lieb.
I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love thy law.
164 Siebenmal täglich preise ich dich um der Verordnungen deiner Gerechtigkeit willen.
Seven times in a day have I praised thee because of the judgments of thy righteousness.
165 Frieden in Fülle erlangen die Freunde deines Gesetzes, denn es gibt für sie kein Straucheln.
Great peace have they that love thy law: and there is no stumbling-block to them.
166 Ich hoffe auf deine Rettung, o HERR, denn ich habe deine Gebote gehalten.
I waited for thy salvation, O Lord, and have loved thy commandments.
167 Mein Herz befolgt deine Zeugnisse, und ich habe sie aufrichtig lieb.
My soul has kept thy testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
168 Ich befolge deine Befehle und Zeugnisse; denn alle meine Wege sind dir bekannt.
I have kept thy commandments and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee, O Lord.
169 Laß mein lautes Flehen zu dir dringen, o HERR; verleih mir Verständnis für dein Wort!
Let my supplication come near before thee, o Lord; instruct me according to thine oracle.
170 Laß mein Beten vor dich kommen: errette mich nach deiner Verheißung!
Let my petition come in before thee, O Lord; deliver me according to thine oracle.
171 Meine Lippen sollen Lobpreis sprudeln lassen, weil du mich deine Satzungen lehrst.
Let my lips utter a hymn, when thou shalt have taught me thine ordinances.
172 Meine Zunge soll von deinem Worte singen; denn alle deine Gebote sind gerecht.
Let my tongue utter thine oracles; for all thy commandments are righteous.
173 Laß deine Hand bereit sein, mir zu helfen, denn deine Befehle hab’ ich (zu Führern) erwählt.
Let thine hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen thy commandments.
174 Ich sehne mich nach deiner Hilfe, o HERR, und dein Gesetz ist meine Freude.
I have longed after thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my (meditation)
175 Laß meine Seele leben, daß sie dich preise, und deine Rechte mögen mir helfen!
My soul shall live, and shall praise thee; and thy judgments shall help me.
176 Geh ich irre wie ein verlorenes Schaf, so suche deinen Knecht! Denn deine Gebote habe ich nicht vergessen.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
