4 Mose 1

1 Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose in der Wüste Sinai, im Offenbarungszelt, am ersten Tage des zweiten Monats im zweiten Jahr nach ihrem Auszug aus dem Lande Ägypten folgendes:

The Lord spake againe vnto Moses in the wildernesse of Sinai, in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, in the first day of the second moneth, in the second yere after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2 »Nehmt die Kopfzahl der gesamten Gemeinde der Israeliten auf nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, mit Aufzählung der einzelnen Namen, alle männlichen Personen Kopf für Kopf;

Take ye the summe of all the Congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, and housholdes of their fathers with the nomber of their names: to wit, all the males, man by man:

3 von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was in Israel zum Heeresdienst tauglich ist, die sollt ihr mustern, Schar für Schar, du und Aaron.

From twentie yere olde and aboue, all that go forth to the warre in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them, throughout their armies.

4 Dabei soll euch je ein Mann von jedem Stamm Beistand leisten, nämlich der Obmann der Familien seines Stammes.

And with you shalbe men of euery tribe, such as are the heads of the house of their fathers.

5 Und dies sind die Namen der Männer, die euch dabei zur Seite stehen sollen: für Ruben: Elizur, der Sohn Sedeurs;

And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you, of the tribe of Reuben, Elizur, the sonne of Shedeur:

6 für Simeon: Selumiel, der Sohn Zurisaddais;

Of Simeon, Shelumiel the sonne of Zurishaddai:

7 für Juda: Nahson, der Sohn Amminadabs;

Of Iudah, Nahshon the sonne of Amminadab:

8 für Issaschar: Nethaneel, der Sohn Zuars;

Of Issachar, Nethaneel, the sonne of Zuar:

9 für Sebulon: Eliab, der Sohn Helons;

Of Zebulun, Eliab, the sonne of Helon:

10 für die Söhne Josephs, für Ephraim: Elisama, der Sohn Ammihuds; für Manasse: Gamliel, der Sohn Pedazurs;

Of the children of Ioseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the sonne of Ammihud: of Manasseh, Gamliel, the sonne of Pedahzur:

11 für Benjamin: Abidan, der Sohn Gideonis;

Of Beiamin, Abida the sonne of Gideoni:

12 für Dan: Ahieser, der Sohn Ammisaddais;

Of Dan, Ahiezer, the sonne of Ammishaddai:

13 für Asser: Pagiel, der Sohn Ochrans;

Of Asher, Pagiel, the sonne of Ocran:

14 für Gad: Eljasaph, der Sohn Deguels;

Of Gad, Eliasaph, the sonne of Deuel:

15 für Naphthali: Ahira, der Sohn Enans.«

Of Naphtali, Ahira the sonne of Enan.

16 Dies waren die aus der Gemeinde Berufenen, die Fürsten ihrer väterlichen Stämme, die Häupter der Tausendschaften Israels.

These were famous in the Congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, and heads ouer thousands in Israel.

17 Hierauf ließen Mose und Aaron diese Männer, die ihnen mit Namen bezeichnet worden waren, zu sich kommen

The Moses and Aaron tooke these men which are expressed by their names.

18 und versammelten dann die ganze Gemeinde am ersten Tage des zweiten Monats. Da ließen sie sich in die Geburtsverzeichnisse eintragen nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, mit Aufzählung der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, Kopf für Kopf;

And they called all the Congregation together, in the first day of the second moneth, who declared their kindreds by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, man by man.

19 wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte, so musterte er sie in der Wüste Sinai.

As the Lord had commanded Moses, so he nombred them in the wildernesse of Sinai.

20 Es beliefen sich aber die Nachkommen Rubens, des erstgeborenen Sohnes Israels, ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, Kopf für Kopf, alle männlichen Personen von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

So were the sonnes of Reuben Israels eldest sonne by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, man by man euery male from twentie yere olde and aboue, as many as went forth to warre:

21 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Ruben gemustert wurden, auf 46500.

The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Reuben, was sixe and fourtie thousande, and fiue hundreth.

22 Bei den Nachkommen Simeons beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, [seine Gemusterten] nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, Kopf für Kopf, alle männlichen Personen von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Simeon by their generatios, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, the summe therof by the nomber of their names, man by man, euery male from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:

23 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Simeon gemustert wurden, auf 59300.

The summe of them, I say, of the tribe of Simeon was nine and fiftie thousande, and three hundreth.

24 Bei den Nachkommen Gads beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Gad by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:

25 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Gad gemustert wurden, auf 45650.

The number of them, I say, of the tribe of Gad was fiue and fourtie thousand, and six hundreth and fiftie.

26 Bei den Nachkommen Judas beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Iudah by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:

27 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Juda gemustert wurden, auf 74600.

The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Iudah was three score and fourteene thousande, and sixe hundreth.

28 Bei den Nachkommen Issaschars beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Issachar by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:

29 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Issaschar gemustert wurden, auf 54400.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Issachar was foure and fiftie thousande and foure hundreth.

30 Bei den Nachkommen Sebulons beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Zebulun by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

31 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Sebulon gemustert wurden, auf 57400.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Zebulun was seuen and fiftie thousand and foure hundreth.

32 Was die Nachkommen Josephs betrifft, so beliefen sich bei den Nachkommen Ephraims ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Ioseph, namely of the sonnes of Ephraim by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

33 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Ephraim gemustert wurden, auf 40500.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Ephraim was fourtie thousande and fiue hundreth.

34 Bei den Nachkommen Manasses beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Manasseh by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

35 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Manasse gemustert wurden, auf 32200.

The nober of the also of ye tribe of Manasseh was two and thirtie thousand and two hundreth.

36 Bei den Nachkommen Benjamins beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Beniamin by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

37 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Bejamin gemustert wurden, auf 35400.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Beniamin was fiue and thirtie thousande and foure hundreth.

38 Bei den Nachkommen Dans beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Dan by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

39 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Dan gemustert wurden, auf 62700.

The nomber of the also of ye tribe of Dan was three score and two thousand and seue hudreth.

40 Bei den Nachkommen Assers beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the sonnes of Asher by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

41 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Asser gemustert wurden, auf 41500.

The nomber of them also of ye tribe of Asher was one and fourtie thousand and fiue hudreth.

42 Bei den Nachkommen Naphthalis beliefen sich ihre Abkömmlinge nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien, nach der Zahl der einzelnen Namen, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, alles, was zum Heeresdienst tauglich war,

Of the children of Naphtali, by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre:

43 soviele ihrer vom Stamme Naphthali gemustert wurden, auf 53400.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Naphtali, was three and fiftie thousand, and foure hundreth.

44 Dies sind die Gemusterten, die Mose und Aaron mit den Fürsten der Israeliten musterten; die letzteren waren zwölf Männer, und zwar je ein Mann für die zu seinem Stamm gehörigen Familien.

These are the summes which Moses, and Aaron nombred, and the Princes of Israel, the twelue men, which were euery one for the house of their fathers.

45 Und es beliefen sich alle, die von den Israeliten nach ihren Familien, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, gemustert worden waren, alles, was in Israel zum Heeresdienst tauglich war –

So this was all the summe of the sonnes of Israel, by the houses of their fathers, from twenty yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre in Israel,

46 es beliefen sich also alle Gemusterten auf 603550.

And all they were in nomber sixe hudreth and three thousande, fiue hundreth and fiftie.

47 Die Leviten aber nach ihrem väterlichen Stamm waren in dieser Musterung nicht inbegriffen.

But the Leuites, after the tribes of their fathers were not nombred among them.

48 Der HERR hatte nämlich dem Mose folgendes geboten:

For the Lord had spoken vnto Moses, and said,

49 »Nur die zum Stamm Levi Gehörigen sollst du nicht mustern und ihre Kopfzahl nicht mit den übrigen Israeliten aufnehmen;

Onely thou shalt not number the tribe of Leui, neither take the summe of them among the children of Israel:

50 sondern bestelle du die Leviten zum Dienst an der Wohnung des Gesetzes und über ihre sämtlichen Geräte und über alles, was zu ihr gehört: sie sollen die Wohnung und ihre sämtlichen Geräte tragen, und sie sollen den Dienst an ihr versehen und rings um die Wohnung her lagern.

But thou shalt appoynt the Leuites ouer the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, and ouer all the instruments thereof, and ouer all things that belong to it: they shall beare the Tabernacle, and all the instruments thereof, and shall minister in it, and shall dwell round about the Tabernacle.

51 Und wenn die Wohnung weiter wandert, sollen die Leviten sie abbrechen; und wenn die Wohnung halt macht, sollen die Leviten sie aufschlagen; jeder Nichtzugehörige aber, der an sie herantritt, soll sterben.

And when the Tabernacle goeth forth, the Leuites shall take it downe: and when the Tabernacle is to be pitched, ye Leuites shall set it vp: for the stranger that commeth neere, shalbe slaine.

52 Und die übrigen Israeliten sollen nach ihren Heerscharen ein jeder auf seinem Lagerplatz und ein jeder bei seiner Fahne lagern;

Also the children of Israel shall pitch their tentes, euery man in his campe, and euery man vnder his standerd throughout their armies.

53 die Leviten aber sollen rings um die Wohnung des Gesetzes her lagern, damit kein Zorn Gottes über die Gemeinde der Israeliten hereinbricht. Die Leviten sollen also den Dienst an der Wohnung des Gesetzes versehen.«

But the Leuites shall pitch rounde about the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, least vengeance come vpon the Congregation of the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall take the charge of the Tabernacle of the Testimonie.

54 So machten denn die Israeliten alles genau so, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.

So the children of Israel did according to all that ye Lord had comanded Moses: so did they.
