4 Mose 4

1 Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose und Aaron folgendes:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, and to Aaron, saying,

2 »Nehmt unter den Leviten die Kopfzahl der Kehathiten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien auf,

Take the summe of the sonnes of Kohath from among the sonnes of Leui, after their families, and houses of their fathers,

3 von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie am Offenbarungszelt tätig sein können.

From thirtie yeere olde and aboue, euen vntill fiftie yeere olde, all that enter into the assemblie to do the worke in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

4 Dies soll der Dienst der Kehathiten am Offenbarungszelt sein: (die Sorge für) das Hochheilige.

This shall be the office of the sonnes of Kohath in the Tabernacle of the Congregation about the Holiest of all.

5 Wenn nämlich das Lager aufbricht, sollen Aaron und seine Söhne hineingehen und den abschließenden Vorhang abnehmen und die Gesetzeslade mit ihm bedecken.

When the hoste remoueth, then Aaron and his sonnes shall come and take downe the couering vaile, and shall couer the Arke of the Testimonie therewith.

6 Dann sollen sie eine Decke von Seekuhfell darauflegen und ein ganz aus blauem Purpur bestehendes Tuch oben darüberbreiten und dann die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.

And they shall put thereon a couering of badgers skinnes, and shall spread vpon it a cloth altogether of blewe silke, and put to the barres thereof:

7 Auch über den Schaubrottisch sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur breiten und die Schüsseln, Schalen und Becher sowie die Kannen für das Trankopfer daraufstellen; auch das regelmäßig aufzulegende Brot soll sich auf ihm befinden.

And vpon ye table of shew bread they shall spread a cloth of blewe silke, and put thereon the dishes, and the incense cups, and goblets, and couerings to couer it with, and the bread shall be thereon continually:

8 Dann sollen sie über das alles ein Tuch von Karmesin breiten, dieses mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und dann die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.

And they shall spread vpon them a couering of skarlet, and couer the same with a couering of badgers skinnes, and put to the barres thereof.

9 Hierauf sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur nehmen und den lichtspendenden Leuchter damit überdecken samt den zugehörigen Lampen, Lichtputzscheren, Näpfen und allen Ölgefäßen, mit denen man ihn zu bedienen pflegt;

Then they shall take a cloth of blewe silke, and couer the candlesticke of light with his lampes and his snuffers, and his snuffedishes, and al the oyle vessels thereof, which they occupie about it.

10 dann sollen sie ihn nebst allen seinen Geräten in eine Decke von Seekuhfell tun und auf die Tragbahre legen.

So they shall put it, and all the instruments thereof in a couering of badgers skinnes, and put it vpon the barres.

11 Auch über den goldenen Altar sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur breiten und ihn mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.

Also vpon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blewe silke, and couer it with a couering of badgers skinnes, and put to the barres thereof.

12 Weiter sollen sie alle für den Dienst erforderlichen Geräte, mit denen man den Dienst im Heiligtum zu verrichten pflegt, nehmen, sie in ein Tuch von blauem Purpur tun, sie dann mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und auf die Tragbahre legen.

And they shall take all the instruments of the ministerie wherewith they minister in the Sanctuarie, and put them in a cloth of blew silke, and couer the with a couering of badgers skinnes, and put them on the barres.

13 Hierauf sollen sie den (Brandopfer-) Altar von der Fettasche reinigen und ein Tuch von rotem Purpur über ihn breiten;

Also they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth vpon it,

14 auf dieses sollen sie dann alle zugehörigen Geräte legen, mit denen man den Dienst auf ihm zu verrichten pflegt: die Kohlenpfannen, Gabeln, Schaufeln, Becken, überhaupt alle zum Altar gehörigen Geräte; darüber sollen sie eine Decke von Seekuhfell breiten und die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.

And shall put vpon it all the instruments thereof, which they occupie about it: the censers, the fleshhookes and the besomes, and the basens, euen al the instruments of the altar and they shall spread vpon it a couering of badgers skinnes, and put to the barres of it.

15 Wenn dann Aaron und seine Söhne beim Aufbruch des Lagers mit der Einhüllung des Heiligen und aller heiligen Geräte fertig sind, so sollen danach die Kehathiten kommen, um alles zu tragen; sie dürfen aber die heiligen Gegenstände nicht berühren, sonst würden sie sterben. Dies ist es, was die Kehathiten vom Offenbarungszelt zu tragen haben.

And when Aaron and his sonnes haue made an ende of couering the Sanctuarie, and al the instruments of the Sanctuarie, at the remouing of the host, afterward the sonnes of Kohath shall come to beare it, but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they dye. This is the charge of the sonnes of Kohath in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

16 Eleasar aber, dem Sohne des Priesters Aaron, ist das Öl für den Leuchter und das wohlriechende Räucherwerk sowie das regelmäßige Speisopfer und das Salböl anvertraut, ferner die Aufsicht über die ganze heilige Wohnung und über alles das, was sich an heiligen Gegenständen und an zugehörigen Geräten in ihr befindet.«

And to the office of Eleazar the sonne of Aaron the Priest pertaineth the oyle for the light, and the sweete incense and the dayly meat offring, and the anointing oyle, with the ouersight of all the Tabernacle, and of all that therein is, both in the Sanctuarie and in all the instruments thereof.

17 Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose und Aaron folgendes:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying,

18 »Laßt den Stamm der Geschlechter der Kehathiten nicht aus der Mitte der Leviten der Vernichtung anheimfallen,

Ye shall not cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Leuites:

19 sondern tut folgendes für sie, damit sie am Leben bleiben und nicht sterben müssen, wenn sie an die hochheiligen Gegenstände herantreten: Aaron und seine Söhne sollen hineingehen und jeden einzelnen von ihnen anstellen, um das zu verrichten und das zu tragen, was ihm obliegt;

But thus do vnto them, that they may liue and not die, when they come neere to the most holy things: let Aaron and his sonnes come and appoynt them, euery one to his office, and to his charge.

20 aber sie selbst sollen nicht hineingehen, um auch nur einen Augenblick die heiligen Gegenstände anzusehen; sonst müssen sie sterben.«

But let them not goe in, to see when the Sanctuarie is folden vp, lest they die.

21 Weiter gebot der HERR dem Mose folgendes:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

22 »Nimm nun auch die Kopfzahl der Gersoniten nach ihren Familien und nach ihren Geschlechtern auf;

Take also ye summe of the sonnes of Gershon, euery one by the houses of their fathers throughout their families:

23 von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren sollst du sie mustern, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden können.

From thirtie yere old and aboue, vntil fiftie yere old shalt thou nomber them, al that enter into the assemblie for to do seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

24 Darin soll der Dienst der Geschlechter der Gersoniten bezüglich der ihnen obliegenden Verrichtungen und der zu tragenden Gegenstände bestehen:

This shall be the seruice of the families of the Gershonites, to serue and to beare.

25 sie haben die Teppiche der heiligen Wohnung und das Offenbarungszelt zu tragen, auch seine Decke und die Decke von Seekuhfell, die oben darüber liegt, sowie den Vorhang am Eingang zum Offenbarungszelt,

They shall beare the curtaines of the Tabernacle, and the Tabernacle of the Congregation, his couering, and the couering of badgers skinnes, that is on hie vpon it, and the vayle of the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation:

26 ferner die Umhänge des Vorhofes, und den Vorhang am Eingangstor des Vorhofes, der die heilige Wohnung und den Brandopferaltar rings umgibt, samt den zugehörigen Seilen und allen Geräten, die zu diesem Dienst nötig sind; überhaupt alles, was dabei zu tun ist, sollen sie besorgen.

The curtaines also of the court, and the vaile of the entring in of the gate of the court, which is neere the Tabernacle and neere the altar round about, with their cordes, and all the instruments for their seruice, and all that is made for them: so shall they serue.

27 Nach der Anordnung Aarons und seiner Söhne soll der ganze Dienst der [Söhne der] Gersoniten vor sich gehen bei allem, was sie zu tragen, und bei allem, was sie zu verrichten haben; und zwar sollt ihr ihnen alles, was sie zu tragen haben, Stück für Stück überweisen.

At the commandement of Aaron and his sonnes shall all the seruice of the sonnes of ye Gershonites bee done, in all their charges and in all their seruice, and ye shall appoynt them to keepe all their charges.

28 Dies ist der Dienst, den die Geschlechter der [Söhne der] Gersoniten am Offenbarungszelt zu verrichten haben; und die Aufsicht über ihre Verrichtungen soll Ithamar, dem Sohn des Priesters Aaron, obliegen.

This is the seruice of the families of the sonnes of the Gershonites in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and their watch shall be vnder the hande of Ithamar the sonne of Aaron the Priest.

29 Auch die Merariten sollst du nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien mustern;

Thou shalt nomber the sonnes of Merari by their families, and by the houses of their fathers:

30 von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren sollst du sie mustern, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden können.

From thirty yere olde and aboue, euen vnto fiftie yere olde shalt thou nomber the, all that enter into the assemblie, to doe the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

31 Und dies ist es, was ihnen zu tragen obliegt und worin ihr ganzer Dienst am Offenbarungszelt besteht: die Bretter der heiligen Wohnung sowie ihre Riegel, Säulen und Füße,

And this is their office and charge according to all their seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation: the boardes of the Tabernacle with the barres thereof, and his pillars, and his sockets,

32 ferner die Säulen rings um den Vorhof samt ihren Füßen, ihren Pflöcken und Seilen, samt allen zugehörigen Geräten und nebst allem, was es dabei zu tun gibt; und zwar sollt ihr ihnen die Geräte, deren Fortschaffung ihnen obliegt, Stück für Stück zuweisen.

And the pillars rounde about the court, with their sockets and their pinnes, and their cords, with all their instruments, euen for all their seruice: and by name ye shall recken the instruments of their office and charge.

33 Dies ist der Dienst der Geschlechter der Merariten, alles, was sie am Offenbarungszelt unter der Aufsicht Ithamars, des Sohnes des Priesters Aaron, zu verrichten haben.«

This is the seruice of the families of the sonnes of Merari, according to all their seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation vnder the hand of Ithamar the sonne of Aaron the Priest.

34 So musterten denn Mose und Aaron samt den Stammesfürsten der Gemeinde die [Söhne der] Kehathiten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien,

Then Moses and Aaron and the princes of the Congregation nombred the sonnes of the Kohathites, by their families and by the houses of their fathers,

35 von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten.

From thirtie yeere olde and aboue, euen vnto fiftie yere olde, all that enter into the assemblie for the seruice of the Tabernacle of ye Congregation.

36 Und es belief sich die Zahl derer, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern gemustert wurden, auf 2750.

So the nombers of the throughout their families were two thousande, seuen hundreth and fiftie.

37 So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Kehathiten Gemusterten, alle, welche Dienste am Offenbarungszelte zu leisten hatten und welche Mose und Aaron nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.

These are the nombers of the families of the Kohathites, al that serue in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, which Moses and Aaron did nomber according to the commandement of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

38 Was sodann diejenigen betrifft, welche aus den Gersoniten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden,

Also the nombers of the sonnes of Gershon throughout their families and houses of their fathers,

39 von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten,

From thirtie yere olde and vpwarde, euen vnto fiftie yere olde: all that enter into the assemblie for the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Cogregation.

40 so belief sich die Zahl derer, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden, auf 2630.

So the nombers of them by their families, and by the houses of their fathers were two thousand sixe hundreth and thirtie.

41 So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Gersoniten Gemusterten, alle, welche Dienste am Offenbarungszelt zu leisten hatten und welche Mose und Aaron nach dem Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.

These are the nombers of the families of the sonnes of Gershon: of all that did seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did nomber according to the commandement of the Lord.

42 Was ferner diejenigen betrifft, welche aus den Geschlechtern der Merariten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden,

The nombers also of the families of the sonnes of Merari by their families, and by the houses of their fathers,

43 von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten,

From thirtie yeere olde and vpwarde, euen vnto fiftie yeere olde: all that enter into the assemblie for the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

44 so beliefen sich die, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern gemustert wurden, auf 3200.

So the nombers of them by their families were three thousand, and two hundreth.

45 So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Merariten Gemusterten, welche Mose und Aaron nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.

These are the summes of ye families of the sonnes of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron nombred according to the commandement of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.

46 Was aber die Gesamtzahl der gemusterten Leviten betrifft, welche Mose und Aaron samt den Stammesfürsten der Israeliten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert hatten,

So all the nombers of the Leuites, which Moses, and Aaron, and the princes of Israel nombred by their families and by the houses of their fathers,

47 von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, welche tauglich waren, um bei den Dienstleistungen und bei der Verrichtung des Tragens Verwendung am Offenbarungszelt zu finden,

From thirtie yere olde and vpward, euen to fiftie yeere olde, euery one that came to doe his duetie, office, seruice and charge in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

48 so belief sich die Zahl der aus ihnen Gemusterten auf 8580.

So the nombers of them were eight thousand, fiue hundreth and foure score.

49 Nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN wies man dem einzelnen von ihnen das zu, was er zu verrichten und zu tragen hatte; und sie wurden so angestellt, wie es der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.

According to the commandement of the Lord by the hand of Moses did Aaron nomber them, euery one according to his seruice, and according to his charge. Thus were they of that tribe nombred, as the Lord commanded Moses.
