4 Mose 19
1 Der HERR sagte dann weiter zu Mose und Aaron folgendes:
The Lord told Moses and Aaron,
2 »Dies ist die Gesetzesbestimmung, die der HERR erlassen hat durch die Verordnung: Sage den Israeliten, sie sollen dir eine fehlerlose, rötliche Kuh bringen, die kein Gebrechen an sich hat und auf die noch kein Joch gekommen ist.
“This is a legal regulation the Lord has ordered, saying, ‘Tell the Israelites to bring you a red cow without defects which has never been yoked.
3 Die sollt ihr dem Priester Eleasar übergeben, und man soll sie dann vor das Lager hinausführen und sie vor seinen Augen schlachten.
Hand it over to Eleazar the priest, and he will take it outside the camp and have it slaughtered before him.
4 Hierauf nehme der Priester Eleasar mit seinem Finger etwas von ihrem Blut und sprenge siebenmal von ihrem Blut in der Richtung nach der Vorderseite des Offenbarungszeltes hin.
Eleazar the priest will put some of its blood on his finger and sprinkle it seven times towards the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.
5 Dann verbrenne man die Kuh vor seinen Augen: alles, ihre Haut, ihr Fleisch und ihr Blut samt dem Inhalt ihrer Eingeweide soll man verbrennen.
Then the cow must be burned as he watches All of it is to be burned—its skin, meat, and blood, as well as its excrement.
6 Hierauf nehme der Priester Zedernholz, Ysop und Karmesinwolle und werfe es mitten in das Feuer, in welchem die Kuh verbrannt wird.
The priest shall throw cedar wood, hyssop, and crimson thread on the burning cow.
7 Dann wasche der Priester seine Kleider und nehme ein Wasserbad; hierauf darf er wieder ins Lager kommen, bleibt jedoch bis zum Abend unrein.
Then the priest shall wash his clothes and his body in water, and after that he may enter the camp, but he will remain unclean until the evening.
8 Auch derjenige, welcher die Kuh verbrannt hat, muß seine Kleider im Wasser waschen und ein Wasserbad nehmen und bleibt bis zum Abend unrein.
The person who burned the cow shall also wash his clothes and his body in water, and he too will remain unclean until the evening.
9 Dann soll ein Mann, der rein ist, die Asche der Kuh sammeln und sie außerhalb des Lagers an einen reinen Platz hinschütten, damit sie dort für die Gemeinde der Israeliten zur Herstellung von Reinigungswasser aufbewahrt werde: es ist ein Entsündigungsmittel.
Then a man who is clean shall collect the ashes of the cow and keep them in a clean place outside the camp. They are to be kept by the Israelites to prepare the water of purification which is for purifying from sin.
10 Auch der Mann, welcher die Asche der Kuh gesammelt hat, muß seine Kleider waschen und ist dann noch bis zum Abend unrein. Es soll dann aber für die Israeliten und für die Fremdlinge, die sich als Gäste unter ihnen aufhalten, folgende Vorschrift ewige Geltung haben:
The man who collected the ashes of the cow shall also wash his clothes, and he will remain unclean until the evening. This is a permanent rule for the Israelites and for the foreigner that lives with them.
11 Wer einen Toten, irgendeine Menschenleiche, berührt, soll sieben Tage lang unrein sein.
If you touch a dead body you will be unclean for seven days.
12 Ein solcher Mensch soll sich damit am dritten und am siebten Tage entsündigen, dann ist er wieder rein; wenn er sich aber am dritten und am siebten Tage nicht entsündigt, so wird er nicht rein.
You must purify yourself with the water of purification on the third day and on the seventh day, and then you will be clean. But if you don't purify yourself on the third and seventh days, you won't be clean.
13 Wer einen Toten, die Leiche irgendeines gestorbenen Menschen, berührt und sich danach nicht entsündigt, der hat die Wohnung des HERRN verunreinigt, und ein solcher Mensch soll aus Israel ausgerottet werden. Weil er nicht mit Reinigungswasser besprengt worden ist, bleibt er unrein: seine Unreinheit bleibt an ihm haften.«
If you touch a dead body and don't purify yourself you make the Tabernacle of the Lord unclean and must be expelled from Israel. You are still unclean because the water of purification hasn't been sprinkled on you, and your uncleanness remains.
14 »Folgende Bestimmung gilt, wenn jemand in einem Zelte stirbt: Jeder, der in das Zelt hineingeht, und jeder, der sich im Zelte befindet, ist sieben Tage lang unrein;
The following regulation applies when a person dies in a tent. Everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is already in the tent will be unclean for seven days.
15 auch jedes offene Gefäß, auf dem sich kein festschließender Deckel befindet, ist unrein.
Any open container there that doesn't have a closed lid is unclean.
16 Ebenso soll jeder, der auf freiem Feld einen mit dem Schwert Erschlagenen oder sonst einen Toten oder menschliche Gebeine oder ein Grab anrührt, sieben Tage lang unrein sein.
If you're out in the open and you touch someone who has been killed by the sword or who has died naturally, or if you touch a human bone or a grave, then you'll be unclean for seven days.
17 Für einen so unrein Gewordenen nehme man etwas von der Asche des zur Entsündigung verbrannten Opfertieres und gieße lebendiges Wasser in ein Gefäß darüber.
This is the process for the purification if you are unclean. Take some of the ashes of the burnt offering for purification, and put them in a jar with fresh water.
18 Dann nehme ein reiner Mann einen Ysopbüschel, tauche ihn in das Wasser und besprenge damit das Zelt samt allen Geräten und die darin befindlichen Personen sowie den, der mit Totengebeinen oder einem Erschlagenen oder einem Toten oder einem Grabe in Berührung gekommen ist.
A man who is clean shall take some hyssop and dip it in the water. Then sprinkle the tent and everything inside it, and everybody who was there. He would also need to sprinkle you if you who touched a bone, or a grave, or someone who has died or has been killed.
19 Und zwar soll der Reine den Unreinen am dritten und am siebten Tage besprengen und ihn so am siebten Tage entsündigen. Alsdann soll der Betreffende seine Kleider waschen und ein Wasserbad nehmen, dann wird er am Abend wieder rein sein.
The man who is clean is to sprinkle you both on the third day and on the seventh day. After you are purified on the seventh day, you must wash your clothes and yourself in water, and that evening you'll be clean.
20 Wenn aber jemand unrein wird und sich nicht entsündigt, so soll ein solcher Mensch aus der Gemeinde ausgerottet werden; denn er hat das Heiligtum des HERRN verunreinigt und ist nicht mit dem Reinigungswasser besprengt worden: er ist unrein.
But if you don't purify yourself, you will be expelled from the Israelites, because you have made the Tabernacle of the Lord unclean. The water of purification hasn't been sprinkled on you, and you remain unclean.
21 Diese Verordnung soll bei euch ewige Geltung haben. Und auch der, welcher die Besprengung mit dem Reinigungswasser vorgenommen hat, muß seine Kleider waschen, und wer das Reinigungswasser berührt, soll bis zum Abend unrein sein.
This is a permanent rule for the everyone. The man who sprinkles the water of purification must wash his clothes, and anyone who touches the water of purification will be unclean until the evening.
22 Auch alles, was der Unreine anrührt, wird unrein, und ebenso wird jeder, der ihn berührt, bis zum Abend unrein.«
Anything the unclean person touches will be unclean, and anyone who touches it will be unclean until the evening.”
