4 Mose 12

1 Mirjam und Aaron aber redeten gegen Mose wegen des kuschitischen Weibes, das er zur Frau genommen hatte; er hatte nämlich eine Kuschitin geheiratet.

Afterward Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, because of the woman of Ethiopia whome hee had maried (for hee had married a woman of Ethiopia)

2 Außerdem sagten sie: »Hat der HERR etwa nur mit Mose geredet? Hat er nicht auch mit uns geredet?«

And they saide, What? hath the Lord spoken but onely by Moses? hath he not spoken also by vs? and the Lord heard this.

3 Der HERR hörte dies; Mose aber war ein überaus sanftmütiger Mann, sanftmütiger als irgendein anderer Mensch auf der Erde.

(But Moses was a verie meeke man, aboue all the men that were vpon the earth)

4 Da sagte der HERR sofort zu Mose, zu Aaron und zu Mirjam: »Begebt euch alle drei zum Offenbarungszelt hinaus!« Als nun die drei hinausgegangen waren,

And by and by the Lord sayd vnto Moses, and vnto Aaron, and vnto Miriam, come out yee three vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and they three came forth.

5 fuhr der HERR in einer Wolkensäule herab und trat an den Eingang des Zeltes; als er dann Aaron und Mirjam gerufen hatte und die beiden hinausgegangen waren,

Then the Lord came downe in the pillar of the cloude, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forth.

6 sagte er: »Hört jetzt meine Worte! Wenn ein Prophet des HERRN unter euch ist, so offenbare ich mich ihm durch Gesichte und rede zu ihm durch Träume.

And hee saide, Heare nowe my wordes, If there be a Prophet of the Lord among you, I will be knowen to him by a vision, and will speake vnto him by dreame.

7 So steht es aber nicht bei meinem Knecht Mose; der ist mit meinem ganzen Hause betraut;

My seruant Moses is not so, who is faithfull in all mine house.

8 von Mund zu Mund rede ich mit ihm, unzweideutig und nicht in Rätseln, und er darf die Gestalt des HERRN selbst schauen. Warum habt ihr euch also nicht gescheut, gegen meinen Knecht, gegen Mose, übel zu reden?«

Vnto him will I speake mouth to mouth, and by vision, and not in darke wordes, but hee shall see the similitude of the Lord. Wherefore then were ye not afraid to speake against my seruant, euen against Moses?

9 Darauf entbrannte der Zorn des HERRN gegen sie, und er verschwand.

Thus the Lord was very angrie with them, and departed.

10 Als aber die Wolke sich vom Zelt entfernt hatte, war Mirjam plötzlich vom Aussatz weiß wie Schnee geworden; und als Aaron sich zu Mirjam hinwandte, sah er, daß sie aussätzig war.

Also the cloude departed from the Tabernacle: and beholde, Miriam was leprous like snowe: and Aaron looked vpon Miriam, and beholde, she was leprous.

11 Da sagte Aaron zu Mose: »Ach, bitte, mein Herr, laß uns doch nicht für die Sünde büßen, daß wir in Unbesonnenheit gehandelt und uns vergangen haben!

Then Aaron saide vnto Moses, Alas, my Lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sinne vpon vs, which we haue foolishly committed and wherein we haue sinned.

12 Laß doch Mirjam nicht wie ein totes Kind sein, dessen Leib beim Austritt aus dem Mutterschoß schon halb verwest ist!«

Let her not, I pray thee, be as one dead, of whome the flesh is halfe consumed, when he commeth out of his mothers wombe.

13 Darauf flehte Mose laut zum HERRN mit den Worten: »Ach Gott! Laß sie doch wieder gesund werden!«

Then Moses cryed vnto the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech thee, heale her nowe.

14 Da antwortete der HERR dem Mose: »Wenn ihr Vater ihr ins Gesicht gespien hätte, müßte sie sich da nicht sieben Tage lang schämen? Sie soll sieben Tage lang außerhalb des Lagers eingeschlossen bleiben; alsdann mag sie wieder Aufnahme im Lager finden.«

And the Lord said vnto Moses, If her father had spit in her face, shoulde she not haue bene ashamed seuen dayes? let her be shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and after she shall bee receiued.

15 So wurde denn Mirjam sieben Tage lang außerhalb des Lagers eingeschlossen; das Volk aber zog nicht eher weiter, als bis Mirjam wieder ins Lager aufgenommen war.

So Miriam was shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and the people remooued not, till Miriam was brought in againe.

16 Danach brach das Volk von Hazeroth auf und lagerte in der Wüste Paran.

Then afterwarde the people remooued from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wildernesse of Paran.
