Nehemia 8
1 da versammelte sich das ganze Volk bis auf den letzten Mann auf dem Platze vor dem Wassertor und richtete an Esra, den Schriftgelehrten, die Bitte, er möchte das Buch des mosaischen Gesetzes herbringen, das der HERR den Israeliten geboten hatte.
And they gathered all the people like a person one to the open space which [was] before [the] gate of the water and they said to Ezra the scribe to bring [the] scroll of [the] law of Moses which he had commanded Yahweh Israel.
2 Da brachte denn der Priester Esra das Gesetz vor die Versammlung sowohl der Männer als der Frauen, vor alle, die befähigt waren, es zu verstehen, am ersten Tage des siebten Monats,
And he brought Ezra the priest the law before the assembly from man and unto woman and every [one who] understood to listen on day one of the month seventh.
3 und er las auf dem freien Platze vor dem Wassertor von Tagesanbruch bis Mittag den Männern und Frauen, überhaupt allen, die ein Verständnis dafür hatten, daraus vor; und das ganze Volk schenkte der Vorlesung aus dem Gesetzbuch aufmerksames Gehör.
And he read aloud in it before the open space which - [was] before [the] gate of the water from the light until [the] middle of the day before the men and the women and the [ones who] understood and [the] ears of all the people [were] to [the] scroll of the law.
4 Esra, der Schriftgelehrte, stand dabei auf einem hölzernen Gerüst, das man zu diesem Zweck hergestellt hatte, und neben ihm standen auf seiner rechten Seite Matthithja, Sema, Anaja, Urija, Hilkija und Maaseja, zu seiner Linken dagegen Pedaja, Misael, Malkija, Hasum, Hasbaddana, Sacharja und Mesullam.
And he stood Ezra the scribe on a high platform of wood which people had made for the matter and he stood beside him Mattithiah and Shema and Anaiah and Uriah and Hilkiah and Maaseiah on right [hand] his and from left his Pedaiah and Mishael and Malkijah and Hashum and Hashbaddanah Zechariah Meshullam.
5 Esra schlug dann das Buch vor den Augen des ganzen Volkes auf – er stand nämlich höher als das ganze Volk –; und als er es aufschlug, erhob sich die ganze Versammlung.
And he opened Ezra the scroll to [the] eyes of all the people for above all the people he was and just as opened [it] he they stood up all the people.
6 Danach pries Esra den HERRN, den großen Gott, und das ganze Volk antwortete: »Amen, Amen!« unter Emporheben der Hände; dann verneigten sie sich und warfen sich vor dem HERRN nieder, das Angesicht zur Erde gewandt.
And he blessed Ezra Yahweh God great and they answered all the people amen - amen in [the] raising of hands their and they bowed low and they bowed down to Yahweh face [the] ground towards.
7 Darauf erteilten die Leviten Jesua, Bani, Serebja, Jamin, Akkub, Sabbethai, Hodija, Maaseja, Kelita, Asarja, Josabad, Hanan und Pelaja dem Volke Belehrung über das Gesetz, während das Volk auf seiner Stelle stehen blieb.
And Jeshua and Bani and Sherebiah - Jamin Akkub Shabbethai - Hodiah Maaseiah Kelita Azariah Jozabad Hanan Pelaiah and the Levites [were] causing to understand the people the law and the people [were] at place their.
8 So lasen sie denn aus dem Buche, dem Gesetz Gottes, abschnittweise vor und machten den Sinn klar, so daß sie (die Zuhörenden) das Verständnis des Vorgelesenen gewannen.
And they read aloud in the scroll in [the] law of God making clear and they gave [the] sense and they understood the reading.
9 Hierauf sagte Nehemia – dieser war nämlich Statthalter – und der Priester Esra, der Schriftgelehrte, nebst den Leviten, die das Volk unterwiesen, folgendes zu dem ganzen Volke: »Dieser Tag ist dem HERRN, eurem Gott, heilig; seid nicht traurig und weint nicht!« Das ganze Volk hatte nämlich beim Anhören der Worte des Gesetzes zu weinen begonnen.
And he said Nehemiah he [was] the governor and Ezra the priest - the scribe and the Levites who were causing to understand the people to all the people this day [is] holy it to Yahweh God your may not you mourn and may not you weep for [were] weeping all the people when heard they [the] words of the law.
10 Dann fuhr er fort: »Geht hin, eßt fette Speisen und trinkt süße Getränke und laßt auch denen, für die nichts zubereitet ist, Anteile zukommen, denn der Tag ist unserm Herrn heilig! Darum seid nicht niedergeschlagen, denn die Freude am HERRN ist eure Stärke.«
And he said to them go eat fat foods and drink sweet things and send portions to [any whom] nothing [is] prepared for him for [is] holy this day to lord our and may not you be grieved for [the] joy of Yahweh it [is] refuge your.
11 So beruhigten denn die Leviten das ganze Volk, indem sie sagten: »Seid still, denn der Tag ist heilig, und seid nicht niedergeschlagen!«
And the Levites [were] making quiet all the people saying hush! for this day [is] holy and may not you be grieved.
12 Da ging das ganze Volk hin, um zu essen und zu trinken und (den Dürftigen) Anteile zukommen zu lassen und ein großes Freudenfest zu feiern; denn sie hatten die Worte verstanden, die man ihnen kundgetan hatte.
And they went all the people to eat and to drink and to send portions and to make joy great for they had understood the words which they had made known to them.
13 Am zweiten Tage aber versammelten sich die Familienhäupter des ganzen Volkes sowie die Priester und die Leviten bei Esra, dem Schriftgelehrten, und zwar um Kenntnis vom Wortlaut des Gesetzes zu erhalten.
And on the day second they gathered [the] leaders of the fathers of all the people the priests and the Levites to Ezra the scribe and to gain insight into [the] words of the law.
14 Da fanden sie im Gesetz, das der HERR durch Mose geboten hatte, geschrieben, die Israeliten sollten während des Festes im siebten Monat in Laubhütten wohnen
And they found written in the law which he had commanded Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses that they will dwell [the] people of Israel in booths at the festival in the month seventh.
15 und sollten in allen ihren Ortschaften und in Jerusalem ausrufen und laut verkündigen lassen: »Zieht auf die Berge hinaus und holt Zweige vom edlen und vom wilden Ölbaum, Zweige von Myrten, Palmen und anderen dichtbelaubten Bäumen, um Laubhütten daraus zu bauen, wie geschrieben steht!«
And that they will make proclamation and they may cause to pass a proclamation in all cities their and in Jerusalem saying go out the hill country and bring leaves of olive and leaves of tree[s] of oil and leaves of myrtle and leaves of palm trees and leaves of tree[s] leafy to make booths according to [what] is written.
16 Da zog das Volk hinaus, holte (solche Laubzweige) und machte sich Hütten daraus, ein jeder auf seinem Dache oder in ihren Höfen sowie in den Höfen des Hauses Gottes und auf dem Platze am Wassertor und auf dem Platze am Ephraimtor.
And they went out the people and they brought [leaves] and they made for themselves booths each one on own roof his and in courtyards their and in [the] courtyards of [the] house of God and in [the] open space of [the] gate of the water and in [the] open space of [the] gate of Ephraim.
17 So baute sich denn die ganze Gemeinde, alle, die aus der Gefangenschaft zurückgekehrt waren, solche Laubhütten und wohnten in den Hütten. Seit den Tagen Josuas, des Sohnes Nuns, nämlich bis auf jenen Tag hatten die Israeliten (das Fest) nicht in dieser Weise gefeiert; und es herrschte sehr große Freude.
And they made all the assembly which had returned from the captivity - booths and they dwelt in the booths for not they had done since [the] days of Jeshua [the] son of Nun thus [the] people of Israel until the day that and it was joy great very.
18 Man las dann aber aus dem Gesetzbuche Gottes Tag für Tag vor, vom ersten bis zum letzten Tage; und sie feierten das Fest sieben Tage lang, und am achten Tage fand vorschriftgemäß eine Festversammlung statt.
And he read aloud in [the] scroll of [the] law of God a day - in a day from the day first until the day last and they celebrated a festival seven days and on the day eighth an assembly according to the ordinance.
