Nehemia 11

1 Hierauf nahmen die Obersten des Volkes ihren Wohnsitz in Jerusalem; das übrige Volk aber bestimmte durch das Los je den zehnten Mann dazu, sich in der heiligen Stadt Jerusalem anzusiedeln, während die übrigen neun Zehntel in den Ortschaften (des Landes) wohnen bleiben sollten.

And the rulers of the people dwelt in Ierusalem: the other people also cast lottes, to bring one out of ten to dwel in Ierusalem the holy citie, and nine partes to be in the cities.

2 Das Volk aber hieß alle Leute willkommen, die sich freiwillig zur Niederlassung in Jerusalem erboten.

And the people thanked all the men that were willing to dwell in Ierusalem.

3 Und dies sind die Häupter des Bezirks, die sich in Jerusalem und in den Ortschaften Judas niedergelassen haben, und zwar ein jeder auf seinem Besitztum in den dortigen Ortschaften: die (gewöhnlichen) Israeliten, die Priester und die Leviten, die Tempelhörigen und die Nachkommen der Leibeigenen Salomos.

These now are the chiefe of the prouince, that dwelt in Ierusalem, but in the cities of Iudah, euery one dwelt in his owne possession in their cities of Israel, the Priestes and the Leuites, and the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruants.

4 In Jerusalem haben sich sowohl Judäer als auch Benjaminiten niedergelassen, und zwar von den Judäern: Athaja, der Sohn Ussijas, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes Amarjas, des Sohnes Sephatjas, des Sohnes Mahalaleels, von den Nachkommen des Perez;

And in Ierusalem dwelt certaine of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin. Of the sonnes of Iudah, Athaiah, the sonne of Vziiah, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Mahaleel, of the sonnes of Perez,

5 ferner Maaseja, der Sohn Baruchs, des Sohnes Kol-Hoses, des Sohnes Hasajas, des Sohnes Adajas, des Sohnes Jojaribs, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes des Siloniten.

And Maaseiah the sonne of Baruch, the sonne of Col Hozeh, the sonne of Hazaiah, the sonne of Adaiah, the sonne of Ioiarib, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Shiloni.

6 Die Gesamtzahl der Nachkommen des Perez, die in Jerusalem wohnten, betrug 468, tüchtige Männer. –

All the sonnes of Perez that dwelt at Ierusalem, were foure hundreth, three score and eight valiant men.

7 Und dies sind die Benjaminiten: Sallu, der Sohn Mesullams, des Sohnes Joeds, des Sohnes Pedajas, des Sohnes Kolajas, des Sohnes Maasejas, des Sohnes Ithiels, des Sohnes Jesajas,

These also are the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Ioed, the sonne of Pedaiah, the sonne of Kolaiah, the sonne of Maaseiah, the sonne of Ithiel, the sonne of Ieshaiah.

8 und seine Genossen, wehrhafte Krieger, 928 an der Zahl. –

And after him Gabai, Sallai, nine hundreth and twentie and eight.

9 Joel aber, der Sohn Sichris, war ihr Vorsteher; und Juda, der Sohn Hassenuas, war zweiter Aufseher über die Stadt. –

And Ioel the sonne of Zichri was gouernour ouer them: and Iudah, the sonne of Senuah was the second ouer the citie:

10 Von den Priestern: Jedaja, der Sohn Jojaribs, Jachin,

Of the Priestes, Iedaiah, the sonne of Ioiarib, Iachin.

11 Seraja, der Sohn Hilkijas, des Sohnes Mesullams, des Sohnes Zadoks, des Sohnes Merajoths, des Sohnes Ahitubs, der Fürst über das Haus Gottes,

Seraiah, the sonne of Hilkiah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub was chiefe of the house of God.

12 und ihre Genossen, die den heiligen Dienst im Hause Gottes besorgten, 822 an Zahl; ferner Adaja, der Sohn Jerohams, des Sohnes Pelaljas, des Sohnes Amzis, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes Pashurs, des Sohnes Malkijas,

And their brethren that did the worke in the Temple, were eight hundreth, twenty and two: and Adaiah, the sonne of Ieroham, the sonne of Pelaliah, the sonne of Amzi, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiah:

13 und seine Genossen, 242, Familienhäupter; ferner Amassai, der Sohn Asareels, des Sohnes Ahsais, des Sohnes Mesillemoths, des Sohnes Immers,

And his brethren, chiefe of the fathers, two hundreth and two and fourtie: and Amashsai the sonne of Azareel, the sonne of Ahazai, the sonne of Meshilemoth, the sonne of Immer:

14 und ihre Genossen, tüchtige Männer, 128 an der Zahl; ihr Vorsteher war Sabdiel, der Sohn Haggedolims. –

And their brethren valiant men, an hundreth and eight and twentie: and their ouerseer was Zabdiel the sonne of Hagedolim.

15 Ferner von den Leviten: Semaja, der Sohn Hassubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Bunnis;

And of the Leuites, Shemaiah, the sonne of Hashub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah, the sonne of Bunni.

16 ferner Sabbethai und Josabad, welche die weltlichen Geschäfte des Gotteshauses zu besorgen hatten;

And Shabbethai, and Iozabad of the chiefe of the Leuites were ouer the workes of the house of God without.

17 und Matthanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sabdis, des Sohnes Asaphs, der Leiter des Lobgesangs, der die Danksagung beim Gebet anstimmte; und Bakbukja, der zweite im Rang unter seinen Genossen, und Abda, der Sohn Sammuas, des Sohnes Galals, des Sohnes Jeduthuns.

And Mattaniah, the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zabdi, the sonne of Asaph was the chiefe to begin the thankesgiuing and prayer: and Bakbukiah the second of his brethren, and Abda, the sonne of Shammua, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun.

18 Die Gesamtzahl der Leviten in der heiligen Stadt betrug 284. –

All the Leuites in the holy citie were two hundreth foure score and foure.

19 Die Torhüter aber waren: Akkub, Talmon und ihre Genossen, die an den Toren Wache hielten, 172 an der Zahl.

And the porters Akkub, Talmon and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundreth twentie and two.

20 Die übrigen Israeliten aber, Priester und Leviten, wohnten in allen Ortschaften Judas zerstreut, ein jeder in seinem Besitztum.

And the residue of Israel, of the Priests, and of the Leuites dwelt in al the cities of Iudah, euery one in his inheritance.

21 Die Tempelhörigen aber wohnten auf dem Ophel; Ziha und Gispa waren die Aufseher über die Tempelhörigen. –

And the Nethinims dwelt in the fortresse, and Ziha, and Gispa was ouer the Nethinims.

22 Der Vorsteher der Leviten in Jerusalem war Ussi, der Sohn Banis, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Matthanjas, des Sohnes Michas, einer von den Nachkommen Asaphs, den Sängern für den Dienst im Hause Gottes;

And the ouerseer of the Leuites in Ierusalem was Vzzi the sonne of Bani, the sonne of Ashabiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Micha: of the sonnes of Asaph singers were ouer the worke of the house of God.

23 es lag nämlich eine königliche Verfügung in bezug auf sie vor und eine Verordnung für die Sänger bezüglich ihrer täglichen Amtsleistungen.

For it was the Kings commandement cocerning them, that faithfull prouision shoulde bee for the singers euery day.

24 Pethahja aber, der Sohn Mesesabeels, aus der Zahl der Nachkommen Serahs, des Sohnes Judas, war der königliche Beamte für alle Angelegenheiten, die das Volk betrafen,

And Pethahiah the sonne of Meshezabeel, of the sonnes of Zerah, the sonne of Iudah was at the Kings hand in all matters concerning the people.

25 und für die Dörfer auf ihren Feldmarken. Von den Judäern wohnte ein Teil in Kirjath-Arba nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften sowie in Dibon nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften und in Jekabzeel nebst den zugehörigen Gehöften;

And in the villages in their landes, some of the children of Iudah dwelt in Kiriath-arba, and in the villages thereof, and in Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and in Iekabzeel. and in the villages thereof,

26 ferner in Jesua, Molada, Beth-Pelet,

And in Ieshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth palet,

27 in Hazar-Sual und Beerseba nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,

And in Hazer-shual, and in Beer-sheba, and in the villages thereof,

28 in Ziklag und Mechona nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,

And in Ziklag, and in Mechonah, and in the villages thereof,

29 in En-Rimmon, Zora, Jarmuth,

And in En-rimmon, and in Zareah, and in Iarmuth,

30 Sanoah, Adullam nebst den zugehörigen Gehöften, Lachis und dessen Feldmarken und in Aseka nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften; sie hatten sich also von Beerseba bis zum Tal Hinnom angesiedelt.

Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, in Lachish, and in the fieldes thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof: and they dwelt from Beer-sheba, vnto the valley of Hinnom.

31 Die Benjaminiten aber wohnten von Geba an in Michmas, Ajja und Bethel nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,

And the sonnes of Beniamin from Geba, in Michmash, and Aiia, and Beth-el, and in the villages thereof,

32 in Anathoth, Nob, Ananja,

Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

33 Hazor, Rama, Hitthaim,

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

Hadid, Zeboim, Nebalat,

35 Lod und Ono (und) im Tal der Zimmerleute.

Lod and Ono, in the carpenters valley.

36 Von den Leviten aber gehörten einige judäische Abteilungen zu Benjamin.

And of the Leuites were diuisions in Iudah and in Beniamin.
