3 Mose 18
1 Weiter gebot der HERR dem Mose folgendes:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 »Teile den Israeliten folgende Verordnungen mit: Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott!
Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: I am the Lord your God.
3 Nach der Weise der Bewohner des Landes Ägypten, in dem ihr gewohnt habt, dürft ihr nicht verfahren; auch nach der Weise der Bewohner des Landes Kanaan, wohin ich euch bringen werde, dürft ihr nicht verfahren und nach ihren Satzungen nicht wandeln;
You shall not act according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you have lived; nor shall you behave according to the habit of the region of Canaan, into which I will lead you; neither shall you walk in their ordinances.
4 nein, meine Gebote sollt ihr befolgen und meine Satzungen beobachten, um in ihnen zu wandeln: ich bin der HERR, euer Gott!
You shall accomplish my judgments, and you shall observe my precepts, and you shall walk in them. I am the Lord your God.
5 So beobachtet denn meine Satzungen und meine Gebote; denn der Mensch, der nach ihnen tut, wird durch sie das Leben haben: ich bin der HERR!«
Keep my laws and judgments; when a man does these, he shall live by them. I am the Lord.
6 »Keiner von euch darf sich irgendeiner seiner nächsten Blutsverwandten nahen, um mit ihr geschlechtlichen Umgang zu haben: ich bin der HERR!
No man shall approach her who is a close blood-relative to him, so as to uncover her nakedness. I am the Lord.
7 Mit deinem Vater und mit deiner Mutter darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben; sie ist deine Mutter: du darfst ihr nicht beiwohnen.
You shall not expose the nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.
8 Mit deiner Stiefmutter darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben: dein Vater allein hat ein Recht an sie.
You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your father.
9 Mit deiner Schwester, der Tochter deines Vaters oder der Tochter deiner Mutter, mag sie im Hause geboren oder auswärts geboren sein, darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben.
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, whether from father or from mother, whether she was born at home or abroad.
10 Mit der Tochter deines Sohnes oder mit der Tochter deiner Tochter darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben; denn sie sind (wie) deine eigenen Töchter.
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or your daughter’s daughter; for it is your own nakedness.
11 Mit der Tochter der Frau deines Vaters, die dein Vater gezeugt hat – sie ist (wie) deine Schwester – darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben.
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, whom she bore to your father, and who is your sister.
12 Mit der Schwester deines Vaters darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben: sie ist deines Vaters nächste Blutsverwandte.
You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s sister; for she is the flesh of your father.
13 Mit der Schwester deiner Mutter darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben, denn sie ist die nächste Blutsverwandte deiner Mutter.
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, because she is the flesh of your mother.
14 Mit der Frau des Bruders deines Vaters darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben; seinem Weibe darfst du nicht nahen, sie ist deine Muhme.
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, nor shall you approach his wife, who is joined to you by affinity.
15 Mit deiner Schwiegertochter darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben; sie ist das Weib deines Sohnes: du darfst ihr nicht beiwohnen.
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law, for she is your son’s wife; neither shall you expose her dishonor.
16 Mit der Frau deines Bruders darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben; nur dein Bruder hat ein Recht an sie.
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your brother.
17 Mit einer Frau und zugleich ihrer Tochter darfst du keinen geschlechtlichen Umgang haben; die Tochter ihres Sohnes und die Tochter ihrer Tochter darfst du nicht nehmen, um ihnen beizuwohnen; sie sind nächste Blutsverwandte: es wäre eine Schandtat.
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your wife and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, so as to uncover her dishonor; for they are her flesh, and such sexual intercourse is incest.
18 Auch darfst du eine Frau nicht zu ihrer Schwester als Nebenfrau hinzunehmen, um ihr neben jener, solange sie lebt, beizuwohnen.«
You shall not take your wife’s sister as a rival mistress; nor shall you uncover her nakedness, while your wife is still living.
19 »Du darfst ferner einer Frau während der Zeit ihrer Unreinheit nicht nahen, um ihr beizuwohnen. –
You shall not approach a woman who is undergoing menstruation, nor shall you uncover her foulness.
20 Mit der Ehefrau deines Nächsten darfst du nicht den Beischlaf vollziehen, weil du dich dadurch verunreinigen würdest. –
You shall not have sexual intercourse with your neighbor’s wife, nor shall you be defiled by the mingling of seed.
21 Von deinen Kindern darfst du keines hingeben, um es dem Moloch zur Opferung zu weihen, damit du den Namen deines Gottes nicht entweihst: ich bin der HERR. –
You shall not give some of your seed to be consecrated to the idol Moloch, nor to pollute the name of your God. I am the Lord.
22 Bei einem Manne darf man nicht liegen, wie man bei einer Frau liegt; das wäre eine Greueltat. –
You shall not commit sexual acts with a male, in place of sexual intercourse with a female, for this is an abomination.
23 Auch mit keinem Tiere darfst du dich paaren und dich dadurch verunreinigen; und eine weibliche Person darf sich nicht vor ein Tier hinstellen, um sich von ihm begatten zu lassen; das wäre eine schändliche Versündigung.«
You shall not commit sexual acts with any animal, nor shall you be defiled by it. A woman shall not lie down with a beast, nor commit sexual acts with it; for this is wickedness.
24 »Verunreinigt euch nicht durch etwas Derartiges! Denn durch alles dieses haben sich die Völkerschaften verunreinigt, die ich vor euch vertreiben werde.
Do not pollute yourselves with any of these things, by which all of the nations, which I will cast out in your sight, have been contaminated
25 [Da das Land dadurch verunreinigt wurde, habe ich seine Verschuldung an ihm heimgesucht, so daß das Land seine Bewohner ausgespien hat.]
and by which the land has been polluted. I will visit the wickedness of the land, so that it may vomit out its inhabitants.
26 Ihr aber sollt meine Satzungen und meine Gebote beobachten und dürft keinen von allen solchen Greueln verüben, weder der Einheimische noch der Fremdling, der als Gast unter euch lebt –
Keep my ordinances and judgments, and do not do any of these abominations: the native born, as well as the settler, who sojourns among you.
27 denn alle diese Greuel haben die Leute verübt, die vor euch im Lande gewohnt haben, und das Land ist dadurch verunreinigt worden –;
For all these detestable things were done by the inhabitants of the land who were here before you, and they have polluted it.
28 das Land würde auch euch sonst ausspeien, wenn ihr es verunreinigt, wie es das Volk ausgespien hat, das vor euch da war.
Therefore, beware, lest in a similar manner, it may vomit you out as well, if you do these same things, just as it vomited out the people who were before you.
29 Denn wer irgendeinen von diesen Greueln verübt: alle, die Derartiges verüben, sollen aus der Mitte ihres Volkes ausgerottet werden.
Every soul who shall commit any of these abominations shall perish from the midst of his people.
30 So beobachtet denn, was mir gegenüber zu beobachten ist, daß ihr keinen von den greulichen Bräuchen übt, die vor euch geübt worden sind, und euch dadurch nicht verunreinigt: ich bin der HERR, euer Gott!«
Keep my commandments. Do not be willing to do the things which have been done by those who were before you, and do not be polluted by these things. I am the Lord your God.
