1 Sodann fiel den Nachkommen Josephs durch das Los ihr Anteil zu vom Jordan bei Jericho an und begriff im Osten das Uferland von Jericho, dann die Wüste, die sich von Jericho an aufsteigend im Gebirge nach Bethel erstreckt.
And the lot fell to the children of Ioseph from Iorden by Iericho vnto the water of Iericho Eastward, and to the wildernes that goeth vp from Iericho by the mount Beth-el:
2 Die Grenze läuft dann von Bethel weiter nach Lus und zieht sich hinüber nach dem Gebiet der Arkiter, nach Atharoth,
And goeth out from Beth-el to Luz, and runneth along vnto the borders of Archiataroth,
3 läuft hierauf westwärts hinab zum Gebiet der Japhletiter bis zum Gebiet von Unter-Beth-Horon und bis Geser; ihr Endpunkt liegt dann am Meer.
And goeth down Westward to the coast of Iaphleti, vnto the coast of Beth-horon the nether, and to Gezer: and the endes thereof are at the Sea.
4 Dies ist der Erbbesitz, den die Nachkommen Josephs, die Stämme Manasse und Ephraim, erhielten.
So the children of Ioseph, Manasseh and Ephraim tooke their inheritance.
5 Dies aber ist das Gebiet der Geschlechter des Stammes Ephraim: Die Grenze ihres Erbteils geht nämlich im Osten von Ateroth-Addar bis Ober-Beth-Horon;
Also the borders of the children of Ephraim according to their families, euen the borders of their inheritance on the Eastside were Atroth-addar, vnto Beth-horon the vpper.
6 von da läuft die Grenze dem Meere zu. – Im Norden bildet Michmethath die Grenze, und zwar wendet sich die Grenze ostwärts nach Thaanath-Silo und geht daran östlich vorbei nach Janoha.
And this border goeth out to the Sea vnto Michmethah on the Northside, and this border returneth Eastward vnto Taanathshiloh, and passeth it on the Eastside vnto Ianohah,
7 Von Janoha senkt sie sich nach Ataroth und Naarath hinab, berührt dann Jericho und endet am Jordan.
And goeth downe from Ianohah to Ataroth, and Naarath, and commeth to Iericho, and goeth out at Iorden.
8 Von Thappuah aus geht die Grenze westwärts an den Bach Kana und erreicht ihr Ende am Meer. Dies ist der Erbbesitz des Stammes Ephraim, auf die einzelnen Geschlechter verteilt.
And this border goeth from Tappuah Westward vnto the riuer Kanah, and the endes thereof are at the Sea: this is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.
9 Dazu kommen noch die Städte, die für die Ephraimiten mitten im Erbteil der Manassiten abgesondert waren, sämtliche Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh: all the cities with their villages.
10 Sie vertrieben aber die Kanaanäer nicht, die in Geser wohnten; daher sind die Kanaanäer mitten unter den Ephraimiten wohnen geblieben bis auf den heutigen Tag und sind nur fronpflichtig geworden.
And they cast not out the Canaanite that dwelt in Gezer, but the Canaanite dwelt among the Ephraimites vnto this day, and serued vnder tribute.
