Jesaja 65
1 »Ich bin zu erkunden gewesen für die, welche nicht (nach mir) fragten, und ich bin zu finden gewesen für die, welche mich nicht suchten; ich habe ›Hier bin ich! Hier bin ich!‹ gesagt zu einem Volk, das meinen Namen nicht anrief.
They have sought me that before asked not for me, they have found me that sought me not. I said: Behold me, behold me, to a nation that did not call upon my name.
2 Ich habe meine Arme den ganzen Tag ausgestreckt nach einem widerspenstigen Volk, das seinen eigenen Gedanken nachgeht auf unheilvollem Wege,
I have spread forth my hands all the day to an unbelieving people, who walk in a way that is not good after their own thoughts.
3 nach Leuten, die mich beständig in kränkender Weise erbittern, indem sie in den Gärten Schlachtopfer und auf (Altären von) Ziegelsteinen Rauchopfer darbringen,
A people that continually provoke me to anger before my face: that immolate in gardens, and sacrifice upon bricks.
4 die in den Gräbern sitzen und an geheimnisvollen Orten nächtigen; die Schweinefleisch essen und Brühe von unreinen Dingen in ihren Gefäßen haben;
That dwell in sepulchres, and sleep in the temple of idols: that eat swine’s flesh, and profane broth is in their vessels.
5 die da sagen: ›Bleibe mir vom Leibe, komm mir nicht nahe, denn ich bin für dich heilig!‹ Solche Leute sind Rauch in meiner Nase, wie loderndes Feuer den ganzen Tag.
That say: Depart from me, come not near me, because thou art unclean: these shall be smoke in my anger, a fire burning all the day.
6 Wisset wohl: aufgeschrieben liegt das vor mir, und ich werde nicht schweigen, es sei denn, daß ich es vergolten habe; ja, vergelten will ich es und es in ihren Schoß heimzahlen,
Behold it is written before me: I will not be silent, but I will render and repay into their bosom.
7 eure Verschuldungen und die Verschuldungen eurer Väter zugleich!« – so hat der HERR gesprochen –, »weil sie auf den Bergen geopfert und mich auf den Hügeln entehrt haben; ja, ihnen will ich zuvörderst den verdienten Lohn in ihren Schoß hineinmessen!«
Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord, who have sacrificed upon the mountains, and have reproached me upon the hills; and I will measure back their first work in their bosom.
8 So hat der HERR gesprochen: »Wie man von einer Traube sagt, solange sich noch Saft in ihr findet: ›Verderbe sie nicht, denn es ist ein Segen in ihr!‹, so will auch ich es halten um meiner Knechte willen, um nicht das Ganze zu verderben.
Thus saith the Lord: As if a grain be found in a cluster, and it be said: Destroy it not, because it is a blessing: so will I do for the sake of my servants, that I may not destroy the whole.
9 Darum will ich aus Jakob einen Samen hervorgehen lassen und aus Juda einen Erben meines Berglandes, damit meine Erwählten das Land ererben und meine Knechte daselbst wohnen.
And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Juda a possessor of my mountains: and my elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
10 Da wird dann die Saronebene zu einer Trift für Schafherden werden und das Tal Achor zum Lagerplatz der Rinder für mein Volk, soviele ihrer mich gesucht haben.
And the plains shall be turned to folds of hocks, and the valley of Achor into a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
11 Ihr aber, die ihr den HERRN verlassen, die ihr meinen heiligen Berg vergessen habt, die ihr dem Glücksgott den Tisch herrichtet und der Schicksalsgöttin Würzwein (als Trankopfer) einschenkt:
And you, that have forsaken the Lord, that have forgotten my holy mount, that set a table for fortune, and offer libations upon it,
12 euch bestimme ich für das Schwert, und zwar sollt ihr allesamt zur Schlachtung niederknien, zur Strafe dafür, daß ihr, als ich gerufen hatte, nicht geantwortet habt, und als ich redete, nicht hören wolltet, sondern das getan habt, was böse ist in meinen Augen, und euch für das entschieden habt, woran ich kein Wohlgefallen finde.«
I will number you in the sword, and you shall all fall by slaughter: because I called and you did not answer: I spoke, and you did not hear: and you did evil in my eyes, and you have chosen the things that displease me.
13 Darum hat Gott der HERR so gesprochen: »Fürwahr, meine Knechte werden essen, ihr aber sollt hungern! Fürwahr, meine Knechte werden trinken, ihr aber sollt Durst leiden! Fürwahr, meine Knechte werden sich freuen, ihr aber sollt beschämt dastehen!
Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold my servants shall eat, and you shall be hungry: behold my servants shall drink, and you shall be thirsty.
14 Fürwahr, meine Knechte werden jubeln vor Herzenslust, ihr aber sollt schreien vor Herzeleid und laut wehklagen in Verzweiflung!
Behold my servants shall rejoice, and you shall be confounded: behold my servants shall praise for joyfulness of heart, and you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for grief of spirit.
15 Außerdem sollt ihr euren Namen meinen Erwählten zum Fluchwort hinterlassen: ›Gott der HERR möge so dich töten!‹ Seinen Knechten aber wird er einen andern Namen beilegen,
And you shall leave your name for an execration to my elect: and the Lord God shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name.
16 so daß, wer sich segnen will im Lande, sich mit dem Gott der Wahrhaftigkeit segnen wird, und wer im Lande schwört, beim Gott der Treue schwören wird; denn die früheren Drangsale werden vergessen sein und verborgen vor meinen Augen.«
In which he that is blessed upon the earth, shall be blessed in God, amen: and he that sweareth in the earth, shall swear by God, amen: because the former distresses are forgotten, and because they are hid from my eyes.
17 »Denn wisset wohl: ich werde einen neuen Himmel und eine neue Erde schaffen, so daß man der früheren Zustände nicht mehr gedenken wird und sie keinem mehr in den Sinn kommen sollen.
For behold I create new heavens, and a new earth: and the former things shall not be in remembrance, and they shell not come upon the heart.
18 Nein, freuet euch und jubelt immerdar über das, was ich schaffe; denn wisset wohl: ich will Jerusalem umschaffen zum Jubel und das Volk darin zum Frohlocken;
But you shall be glad and rejoice for ever in these things, which I create: for behold I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and the people thereof joy.
19 und ich will selbst über Jerusalem jubeln und über mein Volk frohlocken, und es soll hinfort kein Laut des Weinens und kein Laut des Wehgeschreis in ihm vernommen werden.
And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people, and the voice of weeping shall no more be heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 Es soll dort alsdann keinen Säugling von nur wenigen Tagen und keinen Greis mehr geben, der seine Tage nicht voll auslebt; sondern als Jüngster wird der Hundertjährige sterben und wer nur hundert Jahre alt wird, als ein vom Fluch getroffener Sünder gelten.
There shall no more be an infant of days there, nor an old man that shall not fill up his days: for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 Wenn sie Häuser bauen, werden sie auch darin wohnen und, wenn sie Weinberge anlegen, auch deren Ertrag genießen;
And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruits of them.
22 sie werden nicht bauen, daß ein anderer darin wohne, und werden nicht pflanzen, daß ein anderer die Früchte genieße; nein, gleich der Lebenszeit der Bäume soll auch die Lebenszeit meines Volkes sein, und was ihre Hände erarbeitet haben, sollen meine Erwählten auch selbst verbrauchen.
They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of my people, and the works of their hands shall be of long continuance.
23 Nicht vergeblich sollen sie sich abmühen und nicht Kinder für jähen Tod zeugen; nein, sie werden ein Geschlecht der vom HERRN Gesegneten sein und ihre Sprößlinge ihnen erhalten bleiben.
My elect shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth in trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their posterity with them.
24 Und geschehen wird es: ehe sie rufen, will ich schon antworten, und während sie noch reden, will ich sie schon erhören.
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will hear; as they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 Wolf und Lamm werden beisammen weiden, und der Löwe wird Stroh fressen wie ein Rind und die Schlange sich von Staub nähren: sie werden nichts Böses mehr verüben und kein Unheil mehr anrichten in meinem ganzen heiligen Berglande: der HERR hat es verheißen!«
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together; the lion and the ox shall eat straw; and dust shall be the serpent’s food: they shall not hurt nor kill in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.
