Jesaja 62

1 Um Zions willen darf ich nicht schweigen und um Jerusalems willen mir keine Ruhe gönnen, bis seine Gerechtigkeit aufgeht wie Lichtglanz und sein Heil wie eine brennende Fackel,

For the sake of Zion will I not be silent, and for the sake of Jerusalem will I not be quiet; until its righteousness go forth as the brightness [of light], and its salvation as a burning torch.

2 und bis die Völker deine Gerechtigkeit sehen und alle Könige deine Herrlichkeit und man dir einen neuen Namen beilegt, den der Mund des HERRN bestimmen wird.

And nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and men shall call thee by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall pronounce.

3 Dann wirst du eine prachtvolle Krone in der Hand des HERRN sein und eine königliche Kopfbinde in der Hand deines Gottes;

And thou shalt be a crown of ornament in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

4 und man wird dich nicht mehr ›die Verlassene‹ nennen und dein Land nicht mehr als ›Verödung‹ bezeichnen, sondern man wird dich ›Mein Wohlgefallen haftet an ihr‹ nennen und dein Land ›die Vermählte‹; denn der HERR hat Gefallen an dir, und dein Land stellt seine Gattin dar.

Thou shalt not be termed any more “Forsaken,” and thy land shall not be termed any more “Desolate;” for thou shalt be called “My delight in her” [[Chephzi-bah]], and thy land “Espoused” [[Be'ulah]]; for the Lord will have delight in thee, and thy land shall be espoused.

5 Denn wie der Jüngling sich mit der Jungfrau vermählt, so werden deine Söhne sich mit dir vermählen, und wie der Bräutigam seine Freude an der Braut hat, so wird dein Gott Freude über dich empfinden.

For as a young man espouseth a virgin, so shall thy sons espouse thee; and as the bridegroom is glad over the bride, so will be glad over thee thy God.

6 »Über deine Mauern, Jerusalem, habe ich Wächter bestellt, die den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht hindurch keinen Augenblick schweigen sollen.« Ihr, die ihr den HERRN erinnern sollt: gönnt euch keine Ruhe

Over thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, all the day and all the night, continually, shall they not be silent: ye that make mention of the Lord, take ye no rest.

7 und gewährt auch ihm keine Ruhe, bis er sich dazu bereit macht und Jerusalem zu einer Berühmtheit auf der Erde macht.

And give him no rest, until he have established, and until he have set up Jerusalem as a praise on the earth.

8 Geschworen hat der HERR bei seiner Rechten und bei seinem starken Arm: »Ich will fortan dein Getreide deinen Feinden nicht mehr zur Nahrung hingeben, und niemals wieder sollen Ausländer deinen Wein trinken, um den du dich gemüht hast;

Sworn hath the Lord by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, I will not give thy corn any more as food for thy enemies, and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy young wine for which thou hast labored;

9 nein, die (das Korn) eingeerntet haben, sollen es auch verzehren und den HERRN dabei preisen; und die (den Wein) gelesen haben, sollen ihn auch trinken in den Vorhöfen meines Heiligtums.«

But they who gather it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they who bring it together shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.

10 Zieht aus, zieht aus durch die Tore! Bereitet dem Volk den Weg! Bahnet, bahnet die Straße, räumt die Steine weg, pflanzt ein Panier für die Völker auf!

Pass, pass through the gates, make clear the way of the people, cast up, cast up the highway, remove away the stones, lift up a banner over the nations.

11 Sehet, der HERR hat den Befehl bis ans Ende der Erde erschallen lassen: »Sagt der Tochter Zion: ›Siehe, dein Heil kommt, siehe, sein Lohn kommt mit ihm, und seine Vergeltung geht vor ihm her!‹«

Behold, the Lord hath caused to be heard unto the ends of the earth, “Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.”

12 Und man wird sie nennen ›das heilige Volk‹, ›die durch den HERRN Erlösten‹; dich selbst aber wird man nennen ›die Vielbesuchte‹, ›die nicht (mehr) verlassene Stadt‹.

And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord; and thou shalt be called, Sought for, [[Derusha, ]] The city never forsaken.
