1 Mose 36

1 Dies sind die Nachkommen Esaus, das ist Edoms.

And these [are] [the] accounts of Esau that [is] Edom.

2 Esau hatte seine Frauen aus den Kanaanäerinnen genommen, nämlich Ada, die Tochter des Hethiters Elon, und Oholibama, die Tochter Anas, die Enkelin des Hewiters Zibeon,

Esau he took wives his from [the] daughters of Canaan Adah [the] daughter of Elon the Hittite and Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] daughter of Zibeon the Hivite.

3 und Basmath, die Tochter Ismaels, die Schwester Nebajoths.

And Basemath [the] daughter of Ishmael [the] sister of Nebaioth.

4 Ada gebar dann dem Esau den Eliphas, und Basmath gebar den Reguel;

And she bore Adah to Esau Eliphaz and Basemath she bore Reuel.

5 und Oholibama gebar Jehus und Jaglam und Korah. Dies sind die Söhne Esaus, die ihm im Lande Kanaan geboren wurden.

And Oholibamah she bore (Jeush *Q(K)*) and Jalam and Korah these [were] [the] sons of Esau who they were born to him in [the] land of Canaan.

6 Dann nahm Esau seine Frauen, seine Söhne und Töchter, überhaupt alle Personen, die zu seinem Hause gehörten, dazu auch seinen Besitz, sowohl all sein Vieh als auch seine ganze Habe, die er im Lande Kanaan erworben hatte, und zog von seinem Bruder Jakob weg in ein anderes Land (Seir);

And he took Esau wives his and sons his and daughters his and all [the] people of household his and livestock his and all animal[s] his and all possession[s] his which he had accumulated in [the] land of Canaan and he went to a land [away] from before Jacob brother his.

7 denn ihr Besitz war zu groß, als daß sie hätten beieinanderbleiben können, und das Land, in dem sie als Fremdlinge wohnten, reichte für sie wegen der Menge ihrer Herden nicht aus.

For it was possession[s] their [too] much for dwelling together and not it was able [the] land of sojournings their to support them because of livestock their.

8 So ließ sich denn Esau im Gebirge Seir nieder: Esau, das ist Edom.

And he dwelt Esau in [the] hill country of Seir Esau that [is] Edom.

9 Dies sind die Nachkommen Esaus, des Stammvaters der Edomiter im Gebirge Seir.

And these [are] [the] accounts of Esau [the] ancestor of Edom in [the] hill country of Seir.

10 Dies sind die Namen der Söhne Esaus: Eliphas, der Sohn der Ada, der Frau Esaus, Reguel, der Sohn der Basmath, der Frau Esaus.

These [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Esau Eliphaz [the] son of Adah [the] wife of Esau Reuel [the] son of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.

11 Die Söhne des Eliphas waren: Theman, Omar, Zepho, Gaetham und Kenas.

And they were [the] sons of Eliphaz Teman Omar Zepho and Gatam and Kenaz.

12 Thimna aber war ein Nebenweib des Eliphas, des Sohnes Esaus; die gebar dem Eliphas den Amalek. Dies sind die Nachkommen der Ada, der Frau Esaus.

And Timna - she was a concubine of Eliphaz [the] son of Esau and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek these [were] [the] sons of Adah [the] wife of Esau.

13 Die Söhne Reguels aber sind diese: Nahath und Serah, Samma und Missa. Dies waren die Nachkommen der Basmath, der Frau Esaus.

And these [were] [the] sons of Reuel Nahath and Zerah Shammah and Mizzah these they were [the] sons of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.

14 Und die Söhne von Esaus Frau Oholibama, der Tochter Anas, der Enkelin Zibeons, die sie dem Esau gebar, waren diese: Jehus, Jaglam und Korah.

And these they were [the] sons of Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] daughter of Zibeon [the] wife of Esau and she bore to Esau (Jeush *Q(K)*) and Jalam and Korah.

15 Dies sind die Gaufürsten unter den Nachkommen Esaus: Die Söhne des Eliphas, des erstgeborenen Sohnes Esaus, waren: der Häuptling Theman, der Häuptling Omar, der Häuptling Zepho, der Häuptling Kenas,

These [were] [the] chiefs of [the] sons of Esau [the] sons of Eliphaz [the] firstborn of Esau chief Teman chief Omar chief Zepho chief Kenaz.

16 der Häuptling Korah, der Häuptling Gaetham, der Häuptling Amalek. Dies sind die Häuptlinge, die von Eliphas im Lande Edom abstammen, die Abkömmlinge der Ada.

Chief Korah chief Gatam chief Amalek these [were] [the] chiefs of Eliphaz in [the] land of Edom these [were] [the] sons of Adah.

17 Und dies sind die Söhne Reguels, des Sohnes Esaus: der Häuptling Nahath, der Häuptling Serah, der Häuptling Samma, der Häuptling Missa. Dies sind die Häuptlinge, die von Reguel im Lande Edom abstammen, die Abkömmlinge der Basmath, der Frau Esaus.

And these [were] [the] sons of Reuel [the] son of Esau chief Nahath chief Zerah chief Shammah chief Mizzah these [were] [the] chiefs of Reuel in [the] land of Edom these [were] [the] sons of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.

18 Und dies sind die Söhne der Oholibama, der Frau Esaus: der Häuptling Jehus, der Häuptling Jaglam, der Häuptling Korah. Dies sind die Häuptlinge, die von Esaus Frau Oholibama, der Tochter Anas, abstammen.

And these [were] [the] sons of Oholibamah [the] wife of Esau chief Jeush chief Jalam chief Korah these [were] [the] chiefs of Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] wife of Esau.

19 Dies sind die Söhne Esaus und dies ihre Häuptlinge: das ist Edom.

These [were] [the] sons of Esau and these [were] chiefs their that [is] Edom.

20 Dies sind die Söhne des Horiters Seir, die früher im Lande wohnten: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana,

These [were] [the] sons of Seir the Horite [the] inhabitants of the land Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah.

21 Dison, Ezer und Disan. Dies sind die Gaufürsten der Horiter, der Söhne Seirs, im Lande Edom.

And Dishon and Ezer and Dishan these [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] [the] sons of Seir in [the] land of Edom.

22 Die Söhne Lotans waren: Hori und Hemam, und Lotans Schwester hieß Thimna.

And they were [the] sons of Lotan Hori and Hemam and [the] sister of Lotan [was] Timna.

23 Und dies sind die Söhne Sobals: Alwan und Manahath und Ebal, Sepho und Onam.

And these [were] [the] sons of Shobal Alvan and Manahath and Ebal Shepho and Onam.

24 Und dies sind die Söhne Zibeons: Ajja und Ana. Das ist derselbe Ana, der die heißen Quellen in der Wüste entdeckte, als er seinem Vater Zibeon die Esel hütete.

And these [were] [the] sons of Zibeon and Aiah and Anah he [was] Anah who he found the hot springs in the wilderness when was pasturing he the donkeys of Zibeon father his.

25 Die Söhne Anas aber sind diese: Dison; und Oholibama war die Tochter Anas.

And these [were] [the] children of Anah Dishon and Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah.

26 Und dies sind die Söhne Disons: Hemdan, Esban, Jithran und Cheran.

And these [were] [the] sons of Dishan Hemdan and Eshban and Ithran and Keran.

27 Dies sind die Söhne Ezers: Bilhan, Saawan und Akan.

These [were] [the] sons of Ezer Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.

28 Dies sind die Söhne Disans: Uz und Aran.

These [were] [the] sons of Dishan Uz and Aran.

29 Dies sind die Häuptlinge der Horiter: der Häuptling Lotan, der Häuptling Sobal, der Häuptling Zibeon, der Häuptling Ana,

These [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] chief Lotan chief Shobal chief Zibeon chief Anah.

30 der Häuptling Dison, der Häuptling Ezer, der Häuptling Disan. Da sind die Häuptlinge der Horiter nach ihren Stämmen im Lande Seir.

Chief Dishon chief Ezer chief Dishan these [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] to chiefs their in [the] land of Seir.

31 Und dies sind die Könige, die im Lande Edom geherrscht haben, ehe ein König der Israeliten geherrscht hat:

And these [were] the kings who they reigned in [the] land of Edom before reigned a king of [the] people of Israel.

32 Bela, der Sohn Beors, war König in Edom, und seine Stadt hieß Dinhaba.

And he reigned in Edom Bela [the] son of Beor and [the] name of city his [was] Dinhabah.

33 Nach Belas Tode wurde König an seiner Statt Jobab, der Sohn Serahs, aus Bozra.

And he died Bela and he reigned in place of him Jobab [the] son of Zerah from Bozrah.

34 Nach Jobabs Tode wurde König an seiner Statt Husam aus der Landschaft der Themaniter.

And he died Jobab and he reigned in place of him Husham from [the] land of the Temanite[s].

35 Nach Husams Tode wurde König an seiner Statt Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, der die Midianiter auf der Hochebene der Moabiter besiegte; seine Stadt hieß Awith.

And he died Husham and he reigned in place of him Hadad [the] son of Bedad who defeated Midian in [the] region of Moab and [the] name of city his [was] Avith.

36 Nach Hadads Tode wurde Samla aus Masreka König an seiner Statt.

And he died Hadad and he reigned in place of him Samlah from Masrekah.

37 Nach Samlas Tode wurde Saul aus Rehoboth am Euphratstrom König an seiner Statt.

And he died Samlah and he reigned in place of him Shaul from Rehoboth the River.

38 Nach Sauls Tode wurde König an seiner Statt Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors.

And he died Shaul and he reigned in place of him Baal-Hanan [the] son of Achbor.

39 Als Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors, starb, wurde König an seiner Statt Hadar, dessen Hauptstadt Pagu hieß; seine Frau hieß Mehetabeel und war die Tochter Matreds, die Enkelin Mesahabs.

And he died Baal-Hanan [the] son of Achbor and he reigned in place of him Hadar and [the] name of city his [was] Pau and [the] name of wife his [was] Mehetabel [the] daughter of Matred [the] daughter of Me-Zahab.

40 Dies sind die Namen der Gaufürsten Esaus nach ihren Geschlechtern, nach ihren Wohnplätzen und mit ihren Namen: der Häuptling von Thimna, der Häuptling von Alwa, der Häuptling von Jetheth,

And these [were] [the] names of [the] chiefs of Esau to clans their to places their by names their chief Timna chief Alvah chief Jetheth.

41 der Häuptling von Oholibama, der Häuptling von Ela, der Häuptling von Pinon,

Chief Oholibamah chief Elah chief Pinon.

42 der Häuptling von Kenas, der Häuptling von Theman, der Häuptling von Mibzar,

Chief Kenaz chief Teman chief Mibzar.

43 der Häuptling von Magdiel, der Häuptling von Iram. Das sind die Häuptlinge der Edomiter nach ihren Wohnsitzen in dem Lande, das sie in Besitz genommen hatten. Das ist Esau, der Stammvater der Edomiter.

Chief Magdiel chief Iram these - [were] [the] chiefs of Edom to dwelling places their in [the] land of possession their that [was] Esau [the] ancestor of Edom.
