1 Mose 10
1 Dies ist der Stammbaum der Noahsöhne, Sem, Ham und Japheth; Söhne wurden ihnen erst nach der Sintflut geboren.
And these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and sons are born to them after the flood.
2 Die Söhne Japheths waren: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Jawan, Thubal, Mesech und Thiras.
Sons of Japheth [are] Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3 Die Söhne Gomers waren: Askenas, Riphath und Thogarma.
And sons of Gomer [are] Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 Und die Söhne Jawans: Elisa und Tharsis, die Kitthiter und die Dodaniter.
And sons of Javan [are] Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 Von diesen aus haben sich die Bewohner der Meeresländer der (heidnischen) Völker abgezweigt. Dies sind die Söhne Japheths nach ihren Ländern, jeder nach seiner Sprache, nach ihren Geschlechtern, nach ihren Völkerschaften.
By these the islands of the nations have been parted in their lands, each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.
6 Die Söhne Hams waren: Kusch, Mizraim, Put und Kanaan.
And sons of Ham [are] Cush, and Mitzraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
7 Und die Söhne Kuschs: Seba, Hawila, Sabtha, Ragma und Sabthecha; und die Söhne Ragmas: Seban und Dedan. –
And sons of Cush [are] Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah; and sons of Raamah [are] Sheba and Dedan.
8 Kusch war der Vater Nimrods; dieser wurde der erste Gewalthaber auf der Erde.
And Cush has begotten Nimrod;
9 Er war ein gewaltiger Jäger vor dem HERRN; darum pflegt man zu sagen: »Ein gewaltiger Jäger vor dem HERRN wie Nimrod.«
he has begun to be a hero in the land; he has been a hero in hunting before YHWH; therefore it is said, “As Nimrod the hero [in] hunting before YHWH.”
10 Den Anfang seines Königtums bildeten Babel, Erech, Akkad und Kalne im Lande Sinear.
And the first part of his kingdom is Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar;
11 Von diesem Lande zog er nach Assur und erbaute Ninive, Rehoboth-Ir und Kalah,
from that land he has gone out to Asshur, and builds Nineveh, even the broad places of the city, and Calah,
12 dazu Resen zwischen Ninive und Kalah, das ist die große Stadt. –
and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; it [is] the great city.
13 Von Mizraim sodann stammen die Luditer, Anamiter, Lehabiter, Naphthuchiter,
And Mitzraim has begotten the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
14 Pathrusiter, Kasluchiter und Kaphthoriter, von denen die Philister ausgegangen sind. –
and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from where have come out Philistim), and the Caphtorim.
15 Kanaan aber hatte zu Söhnen Sidon, seinen Erstgeborenen, und Heth,
And Canaan has begotten Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
16 ferner die Jebusiter, Amoriter, Girgasiter,
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
17 Hewiter, Arkiter, Siniter,
and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
18 Arwaditer, Zemariter und Hamathiter. Später haben sich dann die Geschlechter der Kanaaniter zerstreut,
and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanite have been scattered.
19 so daß das Gebiet der Kanaaniter von Sidon in der Richtung auf Gerar bis Gaza, dann in der Richtung auf Sodom und Gomorrha, Adma und Zeboim bis Lesa reichte.
And the border of the Canaanite is from Sidon, [in] your coming toward Gerar, to Gaza; [in] your coming toward Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, to Lasha.
20 Dies sind die Söhne Hams nach ihren Stämmen, ihren Sprachen, ihren Ländern, ihren Völkerschaften.
These [are] sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
21 Aber auch dem Sem, dem Stammvater aller Söhne Ebers, dem älteren Bruder Japheths, wurden Söhne geboren.
As for Shem, father of all sons of Eber, the older brother of Japheth, he has also begotten.
22 Die Söhne Sems waren: Elam, Assur, Arpachsad, Lud und Aram.
Sons of Shem [are] Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 Und die Söhne Arams waren: Uz, Hul, Gether und Mas.
And sons of Aram [are] Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24 Arpachsad aber war der Vater Selahs und Selah der Vater Ebers.
And Arphaxad has begotten Salah, and Salah has begotten Eber.
25 Dem Eber aber wurden zwei Söhne geboren; der eine hieß Peleg, weil sich die Erde zu seiner Zeit teilte; und sein Bruder hieß Joktan.
And two sons have been born to Eber; the name of the first [is] Peleg (for in his days the earth has been divided), and his brother’s name [is] Joktan.
26 Joktan hatte zu Söhnen Almodad, Seleph, Hazarmaweth, Jerah,
And Joktan has begotten Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
27 Hadoram, Usal, Dikla,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28 Obal, Abimael, Seba,
and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
29 Ophir, Hawila und Jobab; diese alle waren Söhne Joktans,
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan;
30 und ihre Wohnsitze erstreckten sich von Mesa in der Richtung auf Sephar bis zum Ostgebirge.
and their dwelling is from Mesha, [in] your coming toward Sephar, a mountain of the east.
31 Dies sind die Söhne Sems nach ihren Geschlechtern, nach ihren Sprachen, ihren Ländern, ihren Völkerschaften.
These [are] sons of Shem, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, by their nations.
32 Dies sind die Geschlechter der Söhne Noahs nach ihrer Abstammung, nach ihren Völkerschaften; und von ihnen aus haben sich die Völker auf der Erde nach der Sintflut abgezweigt.
These [are] families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, in their nations, and by these the nations have been parted in the earth after the flood.
