Hesekiel 8
1 Es begab sich sodann im sechsten Jahre, am fünften Tage des sechsten Monats, während ich in meinem Hause saß und die Ältesten von Juda vor mir saßen, da fiel dort die Hand Gottes des HERRN auf mich;
And in the sixt yere, in the sixt moneth, and in the fift day of the moneth, as I sate in mine house, and the Elders of Iudah sate before me, the hand of the Lord God fell there vpon me.
2 ich hatte ein Gesicht: Ich sah plötzlich eine Gestalt, die wie ein Mann aussah; von dem Körperteile an, der wie seine Hüften aussah, nach unten zu war’s wie Feuer, und von seinen Hüften aufwärts sah es wie Lichtglanz aus, wie der Schimmer von Glanzerz.
Then I beheld, and lo, there was a likenesse, as the appearance of fire, to looke to, from his loynes downeward, and from his loynes vpward, as the appearance of brightnes, and like vnto amber.
3 Da streckte er etwas aus, das wie eine Hand gebildet war, und faßte mich bei den Locken meines Hauptes; dann hob die Gotteskraft mich zwischen Erde und Himmel empor und brachte mich im Zustand der Verzückung nach Jerusalem an den Eingang des Tores zum inneren Vorhof, das nach Norden zu liegt, woselbst das die Eifersucht des HERRN erregende Eiferbild seinen Standort hatte.
And he stretched out the likenes of an had, and tooke me by an hearie locke of mine head, and the Spirit lift me vp betweene the earth, and the heauen, and brought mee by a Diuine vision to Ierusalem, into the entry of ye inner gate that lieth toward the North, where remained the idole of indignation, which prouoked indignation.
4 Und siehe, dort stand die Herrlichkeit des Gottes Israels in derselben Erscheinung, wie ich sie in der Tal-Ebene gesehen hatte.
And beholde, the glorie of the God of Israel was there according to the vision, that I saw in the fielde.
5 Da sagte er zu mir: »Menschensohn, erhebe deine Augen in der Richtung nach Norden!« Als ich nun meine Augen nach Norden hin richtete, sah ich das betreffende Eiferbild nördlich vom Altartor am Eingang stehen.
Then saide he vnto mee, Sonne of man, lift vp thine eyes nowe towarde the North. So I lift vp mine eyes towarde the North, and beholde, Northward, at the gate of the altar, this idole of indignation was in the entrie.
6 Da sagte er zu mir: »Menschensohn, siehst du wohl, was sie da treiben? Arge Greuel sind es, die das Haus Israel hier verübt, um mich von meinem Heiligtum weit wegzutreiben. Aber du wirst weiterhin noch ärgere Greuel zu sehen bekommen.«
He said furthermore vnto me, Sonne of man, seest thou not what they doe? euen the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here to cause me to depart from my Sanctuarie? but yet turne thee and thou shalt see greater abominations.
7 Darauf brachte er mich an den Eingang des Vorhofes; und als ich mich umsah, bemerkte ich ein Loch in der Wand.
And he caused me to enter at the gate of the court: and when I looked, beholde, an hole was in the wall.
8 Da sagte er zu mir: »Menschensohn, zwänge dich durch die Wand hindurch!« Als ich mich nun durch die Wand hindurchgezwängt hatte, kam dort eine Tür zum Vorschein.
Then said he vnto me, Sonne of man, digge nowe in the wall. And when I had digged in the wall, beholde, there was a doore.
9 Darauf sagte er zu mir: »Gehe hinein und sieh dir die schlimmen Greuel an, die sie hier verüben!«
And he said vnto mee, Go in, and beholde the wicked abominations that they doe here.
10 Als ich nun hineingegangen war und mich umsah, fanden sich da allerlei Abbildungen von scheußlichen kriechenden und vierfüßigen Tieren und allerlei Götzen des Hauses Israel, ringsherum auf die Wand gezeichnet.
So I went in, and sawe, and beholde, there was euery similitude of creeping thinges and abominable beasts and all the idoles of the house of Israel painted vpon the wall round about.
11 Vor diesen standen siebzig Männer von den Ältesten des Hauses Israel, und mitten unter ihnen stand Jaasanja, der Sohn Saphans; ein jeder von ihnen hatte seine Räucherpfanne in der Hand, und der Duft der Weihrauchwolken stieg empor.
And there stoode before them seuentie men of the Ancients of the house of Israel, and in the middes of them stoode Iaazaniah, ye sonne of Shaphan, with euerie man his censour in his hand, and the vapour of the incense went vp like a cloude.
12 Da sagte er zu mir: »Hast du wohl gesehen, Menschensohn, was die Ältesten des Hauses Israel hier im Verborgenen treiben, ein jeder in seiner Bilderkammer? Denn sie sagen: ›Der HERR sieht uns nicht, der HERR hat ja das Land verlassen!‹«
Then saide hee vnto mee, Sonne of man, hast thou seene what the Ancients of the house of Israel do in the darke, euery one in the chamber of his imagerie? for they say, The Lord seeth vs not, the Lord hath forsaken the earth.
13 Dann fuhr er fort: »Du wirst weiterhin noch ärgere Greuel sehen, die sie verüben.«
Againe he saide also vnto me, Turne thee againe, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they doe.
14 Hierauf brachte er mich an den Eingang des nördlichen Tores am Tempel des HERRN; dort sah ich die Frauen sitzen, die den Thammus beweinten.
And he caused me to enter into the entrie of the gate of the Lords house, which was toward the North: and beholde there sate women mourning for Tammuz.
15 Da sagte er zu mir: »Siehst du es wohl, Menschensohn? Aber du wirst noch andere ärgere Greuel sehen als diese.«
Then saide hee vnto me, Hast thou seene this, O sonne of man? Turne thee againe, and thou shalt see greater abominations then these.
16 Darauf führte er mich in den inneren Vorhof beim Tempel des HERRN; dort sah ich am Eingang zum Tempelhause des HERRN, zwischen der Vorhalle und dem Altar, ungefähr fünfundzwanzig Männer stehen; die beteten, mit dem Rücken gegen den Tempel des HERRN und mit dem Gesicht gegen Osten gewandt, die Sonne nach Osten hin an.
And he caused me to enter into the inner court of the Lordes house, and beholde, at the doore of the Temple of the Lord, betweene the porche and the altar were about fiue and twentie men with their backs toward the Temple of the Lord, and their faces towarde the East, and they worshipped the sunne, towarde the East.
17 Da sagte er zu mir: »Hast du das gesehen, Menschensohn? Genügt es dem Hause Juda nicht, die Greuel zu verüben, die sie hier treiben, daß sie auch noch das Land mit Gewalttat erfüllen und mich immer wieder zum Zorn reizen? Und nun siehe, da halten sie grüne Zweige an die Nase!
The he said vnto me, Hast thou seene this, O sonne of man? Is it a small thing to the house of Iudah to commit these abominations which they do here? for they haue filled the land with crueltie, and haue returned to prouoke mee: and loe, they haue cast out stinke before their noses.
18 So will denn auch ich im Grimm gegen sie vorgehen: mein Auge soll nicht mehr mitleidig nach ihnen blicken, und ich will keine Schonung mehr üben! Und wenn sie mir noch so laut in die Ohren schreien, will ich doch nicht auf sie hören!«
Therefore will I also execute my wrath: mine eye shall not spare them, neither will I haue pitie, and though they crie in mine eares with a loude voyce, yet will I not heare them.
