2 Mose 15
1 Damals sangen Mose und die Israeliten zum Preise des HERRN folgendes Lied: Singen will ich dem HERRN, denn hocherhaben ist er; Rosse und Reiter hat er ins Meer gestürzt.
Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song vnto the Lord, and sayd in this maner, I will sing vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and him that rode vpon him hath he ouerthrowen in the Sea.
2 Meine Stärke und mein Lobgesang ist der HERR, der mir Rettung geschafft hat; er ist mein Gott: ihn will ich preisen, meiner Väter Gott: ihn will ich erheben!
The Lord is my strength and praise, and he is become my saluation. He is my God, and I will prepare him a tabernacle. he is my fathers God, and I will exalt him.
3 Der HERR ist ein Kriegsheld, HERR ist sein Name.
The Lord is a man of warre, his Name is Iehouah.
4 Die Wagen des Pharaos und seine Macht hat er ins Meer gestürzt, seine auserlesenen Krieger sind im Schilfmeer versunken.
Pharaohs charets and his host hath he cast into the Sea: his chosen captaines also were drowned in the red Sea.
5 Die Fluten haben sie bedeckt, wie Steine sind sie in die Tiefen gefahren.
The depths haue couered them, they sanke to the bottome as a stone.
6 Deine Rechte, o HERR, ist herrlich durch Kraft; deine Rechte, o HERR, zerschmettert den Feind.
Thy right hande, O Lord, is glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath brused the enemie.
7 Durch die Fülle deiner Hoheit vernichtest du deine Gegner; du läßt deine Zornglut ausgehn: die verzehrt sie wie Spreu.
And in thy great glorie thou hast ouerthrowen them that rose against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as the stubble.
8 Durch den Hauch deiner Nase türmten die Wasser sich hoch, wie ein Wall standen die Fluten aufrecht, die Wogen erstarrten mitten im Meer.
And by the blast of thy nostrels the waters were gathered, the floods stoode still as an heape, the depthes congealed together in the heart of the Sea.
9 Da dachte der Feind: »Ich will nachsetzen, einholen, will Beute verteilen, meine Gier soll sich letzen an ihnen! zücken will ich mein Schwert, meine Hand soll sie tilgen!«
The enemie sayd, I wil pursue, I wil ouertake them, I will deuide the spoyle, my lust shall bee satisfied vpon them, I will drawe my sworde, mine hand shall destroy them.
10 Da bliesest du mit deinem Odem: das Meer bedeckte sie; wie Blei versanken sie in den gewaltigen Wogen.
Thou blewest with thy winde, the Sea couered them, they sanke as leade in the mightie waters.
11 Wer ist dir gleich, HERR, unter den Göttern? wer ist wie du so herrlich an Majestät, furchtbar an Ruhmeswerken, ein Wundertäter?
Who is like vnto thee, O Lord, among the Gods! who is like thee so glorious in holinesse, fearefull in prayses, doing wonders!
12 Du hast deine Rechte ausgestreckt: da verschlang sie die Erde.
Thou stretchedst out thy right hande, the earth swallowed them.
13 Mit deiner Huld hast du das Volk geleitet, das du erlöst hast; mit deiner Kraft hast du es geführt zu deiner heiligen Wohnstatt.
Thou wilt by thy mercie cary this people, which thou deliueredst: thou wilt bring them in thy strength vnto thine holy habitation.
14 Die Völker vernahmen’s und bebten, Angst befiel die Bewohner des Philisterlandes.
The people shall heare and be afraide: sorow shall come vpon the inhabitants of Palestina.
15 Da erschraken die Fürsten von Edom, Zittern ergriff die Häuptlinge Moabs, die Bewohner Kanaans verzagten alle;
Then the dukes of Edom shalbe amased, and trembling shall come vpon the great men of Moab: all the inhabitantes of Canaan shall waxe faint hearted.
16 Entsetzen und Angst überfiel sie; ob der Kraft deines Armes wurden sie starr wie ein Stein, bis dein Volk hindurchzog, HERR, bis das Volk hindurchzog, das du erworben.
Feare and dread shall fall vpon them: because of the greatnesse of thine arme, they shalbe stil as a stone, till thy people passe, O Lord: til this people passe, which thou hast purchased.
17 Du brachtest sie hinein und pflanztest sie ein auf den Berg deines Eigentums, an die Stätte, die du, HERR, zur Wohnung dir bereitet, in das Heiligtum, Herr, das deine Hände gegründet.
Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountaine of thine inheritance, which is the place that thou hast prepared, O Lord, for to dwell in, euen the sanctuarie, O Lord, which thine hands shall establish.
18 Der HERR ist König immer und ewig!
The Lord shall reigne for euer and euer.
19 Als nämlich die Rosse des Pharaos mit seinen Wagen und Reitern ins Meer gekommen waren, hatte der HERR die Fluten des Meeres über sie zurückströmen lassen, während die Israeliten trocknen Fußes mitten durchs Meer gezogen waren.
For Pharaohs horses went with his charets and horsemen into the Sea, and the Lord brought the waters of the Sea vpon them: but the children of Israel went on drie land in the middes of the Sea.
20 Darauf nahm die Prophetin Mirjam, Aarons Schwester, die Handpauke zur Hand, und alle Frauen zogen mit Handpauken und im Reigenschritt tanzend hinter ihr her.
And Miriam the prophetesse, sister of Aaron tooke a timbrell in her hande, and all the women came out after her with timbrels and daunces.
21 Und Mirjam sang den Männern als Antwort zu: Singet dem HERRN! Denn hocherhaben ist er; Rosse und Reiter hat er ins Meer gestürzt!
And Miriam answered the men, Sing yee vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath hee ouerthrowen in the Sea.
22 Hierauf ließ Mose die Israeliten vom Schilfmeer aufbrechen, und sie zogen weiter in die Wüste Sur hinein; drei Tage lang wanderten sie in der Wüste, ohne Wasser zu finden.
Then Moses brought Israel from the redde Sea, and they went out into the wildernesse of Shur: and they went three dayes in the wildernesse, and found no waters.
23 Als sie dann nach Mara kamen, konnten sie das Wasser dort nicht trinken, weil es bitter war; daher hieß der Ort Mara.
And whe they came to Marah, they could not drinke of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of the place was called Marah.
24 Da murrte das Volk gegen Mose und sagte: »Was sollen wir trinken?«
Then the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drinke?
25 Da flehte er laut zum HERRN, und der HERR zeigte ihm ein Holz; als Mose dieses in das Wasser geworfen hatte, wurde das Wasser süß. Dort gab er dem Volk Gesetze und Verordnungen und stellte es dort auf die Probe,
And he cried vnto the Lord, and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were sweete: there he made them an ordinance and a law, and there he proued them,
26 indem er sagte: »Wenn du auf die Weisungen des HERRN, deines Gottes, willig hörst und das tust, was ihm wohlgefällt, wenn du seinen Befehlen gehorchst und alle seine Gebote beobachtest, so will ich von allen Heimsuchungen, die ich über die Ägypter verhängt habe, keine über dich kommen lassen; denn ich, der HERR, bin dein Arzt.«
And sayd, if thou wilt diligently hearken, O Israel, vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that, which is right in his sight, and wilt giue eare vnto his commandements, and keepe all his ordinances, then will I put none of these diseases vpon thee, which I brought vpon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
27 Hierauf kamen sie nach Elim; dort waren zwölf Wasserquellen und siebzig Palmbäume; und sie lagerten dort am Wasser.
And they came to Elim, where were twelue fountaines of water, and seuentie palme trees, and they camped thereby the waters.
