5 Mose 12

1 »Dies sind die Satzungen und die Verordnungen, die ihr in dem Lande, das der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, euch zum Eigentum bestimmt hat, allezeit beobachten sollt, solange ihr auf dem Erdboden lebt«:

These ben the heestis and domes, whiche ye owen to do, in the lond which the Lord God of thi fadrys schal yyue to thee, that thou welde it, in alle daies in whiche thou schalt go on erthe.

2 »Ihr sollt alle Stätten von Grund aus zerstören, an denen die Völkerschaften, die ihr aus ihrem Besitz verdrängen werdet, ihre Götter verehrt haben, auf den hohen Bergen wie auf den Hügeln und unter jedem dichtbelaubten Baum.

Distrie ye alle the places wherynne hethen men whiche ye schulen welde, worschipiden her goddis, on hiy mounteyns, and litle hillis, and vndur ech tre ful of bowis.

3 Ihr sollt also ihre Altäre niederreißen und ihre Malsteine zertrümmern, ihre Götzenbäume im Feuer verbrennen, ihre geschnitzten Götterbilder zerschlagen und ihren Namen von den betreffenden Stätten verschwinden lassen.

Distrie ye `the auteris of hem, and `breke ye the ymagis; brenne ye the wodis with fier, and al to breke ye the idolis; destrie ye `the names of hem fro the places.

4 Mit dem HERRN, eurem Gott, dürft ihr es nicht so halten (wie jene Völker mit ihren Göttern);

Ye schulen not do so to youre Lord God;

5 vielmehr nur die eine Stätte, die der HERR, euer Gott, aus all euren Stammesgebieten erwählen wird, um seinen Namen dorthin zu versetzen und dort Wohnung zu nehmen, die sollt ihr aufsuchen und euch dorthin begeben;

but ye schulen come to the place which youre Lord God chees of alle youre lynagis, that he putte his name there, and dwelle therynne;

6 und dorthin sollt ihr eure Brandopfer und Schlachtopfer, eure Zehnten und die Hebeopfer, die ihr darbringt, eure Gelübdeopfer und freiwilligen Gaben sowie die Erstgeburten eurer Rinder und eures Kleinviehs bringen.

and ye schulen come, and schulen offre in that place youre brent sacrifices, and slayn sacrifices, the dymes, and firste fruytis of youre hondis, and avowis and yiftis, the firste gendrid thingis of oxun, and of scheep.

7 Dort sollt ihr auch eure Opfermahlzeiten vor dem HERRN, eurem Gott, halten, ihr und eure Familien, und euch der Freude über alles das hingeben, was ihr mit eurer Hände Arbeit beschafft habt und womit der HERR, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat.

And ye and youre housis schulen ete there in the siyt of youre Lord God; and ye schulen be glad in alle thingis to whiche ye putten hond, in whiche youre Lord God blesside you.

8 Ihr dürft es künftig nicht mehr so machen, wie wir es heutigentags hier ein jeder ganz nach seinem Belieben zu tun pflegen;

Ye schulen not do there tho thingis whiche we don here to dai, ech man that semeth riytful to `hym silf.

9 denn bis jetzt seid ihr noch nicht zum ruhigen Besitz des Erbteils gekommen, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird.

For `til in to present tyme ye camen not to reste and possessioun, which the Lord God schal yyue to you.

10 Wenn ihr aber den Jordan überschritten habt und in dem Lande wohnt, das der HERR, euer Gott, euch als Erbbesitz verleihen will, und wenn er euch Ruhe vor allen euren Feinden ringsum verschafft hat, so daß ihr in Sicherheit wohnt,

Ye schulen passe Jordan, and ye schulen dwelle in the lond which youre Lord God schal yyue to you, that ye reste fro alle enemyes `bi cumpas, and dwelle without ony drede.

11 dann sollt ihr an die Stätte, die der HERR, euer Gott, zur Wohnung für seinen Namen erwählen wird, alles das bringen, was ich euch gebiete: eure Brand- und Schlachtopfer, eure Zehnten und die Hebeopfer, die ihr darbringt, und alle eure auserlesenen Gelübdeopfer, die ihr dem HERRN geloben werdet.

In the place which youre Lord God chees that his name be therynne. Thidur ye schulen bere alle thingis, whiche Y comaunde, brent sacrifices, and sacrifices, and the dymes, and firste fruytis of youre hondis, and what euere is the beste in yiftis, whiche ye auowiden to the Lord.

12 Dort sollt ihr auch vor dem HERRN, eurem Gott, fröhlich sein, ihr und eure Söhne und Töchter, eure Knechte und Mägde, auch die Leviten, die in euren Ortschaften wohnen; denn sie haben keinen eigenen Landbesitz und kein Erbteil gleich euch.

Ther ye schulen ete bifor youre Lord God, ye, and youre sones and douytris, youre seruauntis, and seruauntessis, and the dekenes, that dwellen in youre citees; for thei han not other part and possessioun among you.

13 Hüte dich wohl, deine Brandopfer an jedem beliebigen Ort, den du dir ersehen wirst, darzubringen!

Be thou war lest thou offre thi brent sacrifices in ech place which thou seest,

14 Vielmehr sollst du nur an der Stätte, die der HERR in einem deiner Stammesgebiete erwählen wird, deine Brandopfer darbringen und dort alles das verrichten, was ich dir gebiete.

but in that place which the Lord chees in oon of thi lynagis thou schalt offre sacrifices, and schalt do what euer thingis Y comaunde to thee.

15 Doch darfst du in all deinen Wohnorten ganz nach Herzenslust schlachten und Fleisch essen, je nachdem der HERR, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat: der Reine wie der Unreine darf es essen, wie das Fleisch einer Gazelle oder eines Hirsches;

Forsothe if thou wolt ete, and the etyng of fleischis delitith thee, sle thou, and ete, bi the blessyng of thi Lord God, which he yaf to thee in thi citees, whether it is vnclene, `that is, spottid ether wemmed and feble, ether clene, `that is, hool in membris and with out wem, which is leueful to be offrid, thou schalt ete as a capret and hert; oneli without etyng of blood,

16 nur das Blut dürft ihr nicht genießen: auf die Erde müßt ihr es wie Wasser schütten.

which thou schalt schede out as watir on the erthe.

17 Du darfst nicht in deinen Wohnorten den Zehnten deines Getreides und Weins und Öls verzehren, auch nicht die Erstgeburten deiner Rinder und deines Kleinviehs und keins von deinen Gelübdeopfern, die du geloben wirst, auch nicht deine freiwilligen Gaben und die Hebeopfer, die du darbringen wirst;

Thou schalt not mowe ete in thi citees the tithis of thi wheete, wyn, and oile, the firste gendrid thingis of droues, and of scheep, and alle thingis whiche thou hast avowid and wolt offre bi fre wille, and the firste fruytis of thin hondis;

18 sondern vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, sollst du sie an der Stätte verzehren, die der HERR, dein Gott, erwählen wird, du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter, dein Knecht und deine Magd, auch die Leviten, die in deinen Wohnorten leben, und sollst dich vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, an allem erfreuen, was du mit deiner Hände Arbeit beschafft hast.

but thou schalt ete tho bifor thi Lord God, in the place which thi Lord God chees, thou, and thi sone, and douyter, seruaunt, and seruauntesse, and the dekene that dwellith in thi citees; and thou schalt be glad, and schalt be fillid bifor thi Lord God in alle thingis to whiche thou holdist forth thin hond.

19 Hüte dich, die Leviten unbeachtet zu lassen, solange du in deinem Lande lebst!«

Be thou war lest thou forsake the dekene in al tyme, `in which thou lyuest in erthe.

20 »Wenn der HERR, dein Gott, dein Gebiet erweitert, wie er dir zugesagt hat, und du dann denkst: ›Ich möchte wohl Fleisch essen!‹, weil du Verlangen nach Fleisch trägst, so magst du ganz nach Herzenslust Fleisch essen.

Whanne thi Lord God hath alargid thi termes, as he spak to thee, and thou wolt ete fleischis, whiche thi soule desirith,

21 Wenn (in diesem Fall) die Stätte, die der HERR, dein Gott, erwählen wird, um seinen Namen dorthin zu versetzen, weit von dir entfernt ist, so schlachte von deinen Rindern und deinem Kleinvieh, die der HERR dir gegeben hat, wie ich dir geboten habe, und iß davon in deinen Wohnorten ganz nach Herzenslust.

forsothe if the place is fer, which thi Lord God chees, that his name be there, thou schalt sle of thin oxun, and scheep, whiche thou hast, as `the Lord comaundide to thee; and thou schalt ete in thi citees as it plesith thee.

22 Jedoch sollst du es so essen, wie man Fleisch von der Gazelle und vom Hirsch genießt: der Reine wie der Unreine darf es ohne Unterschied essen.

As a capret and hert is etun, so thou schalt ete tho; bothe a cleene man and vncleene schulen ete therof in comyn.

23 Nur halte daran fest, kein Blut zu genießen; denn das Blut ist die Seele, und du darfst die Seele nicht zugleich mit dem Fleisch essen.

Oneli eschewe thou this, that thou ete not blood; for the blood `of tho beestis is for the lijf, and therfor thou owist not ete the lijf with fleischis,

24 Du darfst es nicht genießen: schütte es vielmehr wie Wasser auf die Erde.

but thou schalt schede as watir `the blood on the erthe,

25 Du darfst es nicht genießen, damit es dir und deinen Kindern nach dir gut ergeht, wenn du tust, was dem HERRN wohlgefällig ist.

that it be wel to thee, and to thi sones after thee, whanne thou hast do that, that plesith in the siyt of the Lord.

26 Jedoch die heiligen Gaben, die dir obliegen, und deine Gelübdeopfer sollst du nehmen und dich mit ihnen an die Stätte begeben, die der HERR sich erwählen wird,

Sotheli thou schalt take that that thou `auowidist, and halewidist to the Lord, and thou schalt come to the place which the Lord chees;

27 und du sollst deine Brandopfer, das Fleisch und das Blut, auf dem Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, darbringen, und zwar soll das Blut deiner Schlachtopfer an den Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, geschüttet werden, das Fleisch aber darf von dir gegessen werden.

and thou schalt offre thin offryngis, fleischis, and blood, on the auter of thi Lord God; thou schalt schede in the auter the blood of sacrifices; forsothe thou schalt ete the fleischis.

28 Beachte und befolge alle diese Gebote, die ich dir zur Pflicht mache, damit es dir und deinen Kindern nach dir allezeit gut ergeht, wenn du tust, was in den Augen des HERRN, deines Gottes, gut und recht ist.«

Kepe thou and here alle thingis whiche Y comaunde to thee, that it be wel to thee, and to thi sones after thee, with outen ende, whanne thou hast do that, that is good and plesaunt in the siyt of thi Lord God.

29 »Wenn der HERR, dein Gott, die Völkerschaften, zu deren Vertreibung du ausziehst, vor dir her ausgerottet hat und du nach ihrer Vertreibung in ihrem Lande wohnst,

Whanne thi Lord God hath distryed bifor thi face folkis, to whiche thou schalt entre to welde, and thou hast weldid tho folkis, and hast dwellid in `the lond of hem,

30 so hüte dich wohl, dich durch ihr Beispiel zur Nachahmung verführen zu lassen, nachdem sie vor dir vertilgt worden sind, und dich nach ihren Göttern zu erkundigen, indem du fragst: ›Wie haben diese Völkerschaften ihre Götter verehrt?‹ und dann sagst: ›Ich will es auch so machen!‹

be thou war lest thou sue hem, aftir that thei ben distried, whanne thou entrist, and thou seke `the cerymonyes of hem, and seie, As these folkis worschipyden her goddis, so and Y schal worschipe.

31 So darfst du gegen den HERRN, deinen Gott, nicht verfahren; denn alles Mögliche, was für den HERRN ein Greuel ist, den er verabscheut, haben sie bei ihrem Götterdienst verübt; sogar ihre Söhne und Töchter haben sie ja ihren Göttern zu Ehren im Feuer verbrannt!«

Thou schalt not do in lijk manere to thi Lord God; for thei diden to her goddis alle abhomynaciouns whiche the Lord wlatith, and offriden her sones and douytris, and brenten with fier.

32 »Alle Gebote, die ich euch zur Pflicht mache, sollt ihr gewissenhaft beobachten, ohne etwas hinzuzufügen oder etwas davon wegzulassen.« –
