2 Chronik 36

1 Die Landbevölkerung nahm dann Joahas, den Sohn Josias, und machte ihn zum König in Jerusalem als Nachfolger seines Vaters.

And they took [the] people of the land Jehoahaz [the] son of Josiah and they made king him in place of father his in Jerusalem.

2 Im Alter von dreiundzwanzig Jahren wurde Joahas König und regierte drei Monate in Jerusalem;

[was] a son of Three and twenty year[s] Jehoahaz when became king he and three months he reigned in Jerusalem.

3 dann setzte ihn der König von Ägypten in Jerusalem ab und legte dem Lande eine Geldbuße von hundert Talenten Silber und einem Talent Gold auf.

And he removed him [the] king of Egypt in Jerusalem and he imposed a fine on the land one hundred talent[s] of silver and a talent of gold.

4 Dann machte der König von Ägypten den Bruder des Joahas, nämlich Eljakim, zum König über Juda und Jerusalem und änderte seinen Namen in Jojakim ab; seinen Bruder Joahas aber nahm Necho mit sich und brachte ihn nach Ägypten.

And he made king [the] king of Egypt Eliakim brother his over Judah and Jerusalem and he changed name his Jehoiakim and Jehoahaz brother his he took Necho and he brought him Egypt towards.

5 Im Alter von fünfundzwanzig Jahren wurde Jojakim König und regierte elf Jahre in Jerusalem; er tat, was dem HERRN, seinem Gott, mißfiel.

[was] a son of Twenty and five year[s] Jehoiakim when became king he and one [plus] ten year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh God his.

6 Da zog Nebukadnezar, der König von Babylon, gegen ihn heran und legte ihn in Ketten, um ihn nach Babylon bringen zu lassen.

On him he came up Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon and he bound him with bronze fetters to take him Babylon towards.

7 Auch einen Teil der Geräte des Tempels des HERRN entführte Nebukadnezar nach Babylon und brachte sie in seinem Tempel zu Babylon unter. –

And some of [the] articles of [the] house of Yahweh he brought Nebuchadnezzar to Babylon and he put them in palace his in Babylon.

8 Die übrige Geschichte Jojakims aber und die Greueltaten, die er begangen hat, und was sonst noch Böses bei ihm vorgekommen ist, das findet sich bekanntlich bereits aufgezeichnet im Buch der Könige von Israel und Juda. Sein Sohn Jojachin folgte ihm dann in der Regierung nach.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jehoiakim and abominations his which he did and [what] was found on him there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Israel and Judah and he became king Jehoiachin son his in place of him.

9 Im Alter von achtzehn Jahren wurde Jojachin König und regierte drei Monate und zehn Tage in Jerusalem; er tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel.

[was] a son of Eight years Jehoiachin when became king he and three months and ten days he reigned in Jerusalem and he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh.

10 Um die Jahreswende aber sandte der König Nebukadnezar hin und ließ ihn nach Babylon holen samt den kostbarsten Geräten des Tempels des HERRN und machte seinen Bruder Zedekia zum König über Juda und Jerusalem.

And to [the] return of the year he sent the king Nebuchadnezzar and he brought him Babylon towards with [the] articles of preciousness of [the] house of Yahweh and he made king Zedekiah relative his over Judah and Jerusalem.

11 Im Alter von einundzwanzig Jahren wurde Zedekia König und regierte elf Jahre in Jerusalem.

[was] a son of Twenty and one year[s] Zedekiah when became king he and one [plus] ten year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem.

12 Er tat, was dem HERRN, seinem Gott, mißfiel; er demütigte sich nicht vor Jeremia, der als Prophet auf Befehl des HERRN zu ihm redete.

And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh God his not he humbled himself from to before Jeremiah the prophet from [the] mouth of Yahweh.

13 Dazu empörte er sich gegen den König Nebukadnezar, der ihn doch einen Treueid bei Gott hatte schwören lassen, und machte seinen Nacken steif und sein Herz verstockt, so daß er sich nicht zum HERRN, dem Gott Israels, bekehrte.

And also against the king Nebuchadnezzar he rebelled who he had made swear an oath him by God and he made stiff neck his and he made hard heart his from turning back to Yahweh [the] God of Israel.

14 Ebenso begingen alle höchstgestellten Priester und die Häupter des Volkes Sünden auf Sünden in der Weise der heidnischen Götzengreuel und entweihten das Haus, das der HERR in Jerusalem geheiligt hatte.

Also all [the] leaders of the priests and the people they increased (to act unfaithfully *Q(K)*) unfaithfulness according to all [the] abominations of the nations and they made unclean [the] house of Yahweh which he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

15 Zwar sandte der HERR, der Gott ihrer Väter, durch seine Boten unermüdlich immer wieder (Warnungen) an sie, weil er Erbarmen mit seinem Volke fühlte und seine Wohnstätte ihm leid tat;

And he sent Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their to them by [the] hand of messengers his rising early and sending for he had compassion on people his and on dwelling place his.

16 aber sie verhöhnten die Boten Gottes und verachteten seine Drohungen und trieben ihren Spott mit seinen Propheten, bis der Grimm des HERRN gegen sein Volk so hoch stieg, daß keine Heilung mehr möglich war.

And they were deriding [the] messengers of God and despising words his and mocking at prophets his until came up [the] anger of Yahweh on people his until there not [was] healing.

17 So ließ er denn den König der Chaldäer gegen sie heranziehen; der erschlug ihre junge Mannschaft mit dem Schwert in ihrem heiligen Tempel: er verschonte weder Jünglinge noch Jungfrauen, nicht Greise noch Hochbetagte: alles ließ Gott ihm in die Hände fallen.

And he brought up on them [the] king of ([the] Chaldeans *Q(k)*) and he killed young men their with the sword in [the] house of sanctuary their and not he had compassion on young man and young woman [the] old and [the] decrepit everyone he gave in hand his.

18 Auch sämtliche Geräte des Gotteshauses, die großen wie die kleinen, und die Schätze des Tempels des HERRN und die Schätze des Königs und seiner Würdenträger: alles entführte er nach Babylon.

And all [the] articles of [the] house of God great and small and [the] treasures of [the] house of Yahweh and [the] treasures of the king and officials his everything he brought Babylon.

19 Den Tempel aber verbrannten sie, die Mauern Jerusalems rissen sie nieder und ließen alle Paläste der Stadt in Flammen aufgehen, so daß alle kostbaren Geräte darin zugrunde gingen.

And they burned [the] house of God and they pulled down [the] wall of Jerusalem and all palaces its they burned with fire and all [the] articles of preciousness its to destroy.

20 Hierauf führte er alle, die dem Blutbad entgangen waren, gefangen nach Babylon, wo sie ihm und seinen Söhnen als Knechte dienstbar waren, bis das Perserreich zur Herrschaft gelangte.

And he took into exile the remainder from the sword to Babylon and they became for him and for sons his slaves until reigned [the] kingdom of Persia.

21 So sollte das Wort des HERRN, das durch den Mund Jeremias ausgesprochen worden war, seine Erfüllung finden: »Bis das Land seine Sabbatjahre abgetragen hätte.« Während der ganzen Zeit seiner Verödung hatte es Ruhe, bis siebzig Jahre voll waren.

To fulfill [the] word of Yahweh by [the] mouth of Jeremiah until it has accepted the land sabbaths its all [the] days of the desolation of it it rested to complete seventy year[s].

22 Aber im ersten Jahre der Regierung des Kores, des Königs von Persien – damit das durch den Mund Jeremias ergangene Wort des HERRN in Erfüllung ginge –, regte der HERR den Geist des Perserkönigs Kores dazu an, folgende Verfügung durch sein ganzes Reich hin ausrufen und auch durch schriftlichen Erlaß bekanntmachen zu lassen:

And in year one of Cyrus [the] king of Persia to fulfill [the] word of Yahweh by [the] mouth of Jeremiah he stirred up Yahweh [the] spirit of Cyrus [the] king of Persia and he caused to pass a proclamation in all kingdom his and also in writing saying.

23 »So spricht Kores, der König von Persien: Alle Reiche der Erde hat mir der HERR, der Gott des Himmels, gegeben, und er ist’s auch, der mir aufgetragen hat, ihm zu Jerusalem in Juda einen Tempel zu erbauen. Wer also unter euch allen zu seinem Volke gehört, mit dem sei sein Gott, und er ziehe hinauf!«

Thus he says Cyrus - [the] king of Persia all [the] kingdoms of the earth he has given to me Yahweh [the] God of the heavens and he he has appointed me to build for him a house in Jerusalem which [is] in Judah who? [is] among you from all people his Yahweh God his [be] with him and let him go up.
