1 Samuel 21

1 David kam dann nach Nob zum Priester Ahimelech; dieser kam ihm ängstlich entgegen und fragte ihn: »Warum kommst du allein, ohne einen Begleiter bei dir zu haben?«

And he went David Nob towards to Ahimelech the priest and he trembled Ahimelech to meet David and he said to him why? [are] you to alone you and [is] anyone there not with you.

2 David antwortete dem Priester Ahimelech: »Der König hat mir einen Auftrag gegeben und zu mir gesagt: ›Niemand darf etwas von der Sache erfahren, deretwegen ich dich absende und die ich dir aufgetragen habe!‹ Darum habe ich auch meine Leute an einen bestimmten Ort bestellt.

And he said David to Ahimelech the priest the king he commanded me a matter and he said to me anyone may not he know anything the matter which I [am] sending you and which I have commanded you and the young men I have directed to a place of a certain one a certain one.

3 Und nun, wenn du einige Lebensmittel zur Verfügung hast, etwa fünf Brote, so gib sie mir, oder was sonst vorhanden ist!«

And therefore what? [is] there under hand your five bread[s] give! in hand my or that [which] may be found.

4 Der Priester antwortete David: »Gewöhnliches Brot ist nicht in meinem Besitz, sondern nur geweihtes Brot ist da; wenn sich die Leute nur von Weibern ferngehalten haben!«

And he answered the priest David and he said there not [is] bread of profaneness to under hand my that except [is] bread of holiness there if they have kept themselves the young men only from a woman.

5 Da antwortete David dem Priester: »Gewiß! Weiber sind uns schon seit mehreren Tagen versagt gewesen; als ich auszog, waren die Leiber der Leute rein, obwohl es sich nur um ein gewöhnliches Unternehmen handelte; wieviel mehr werden sie heute am Leibe rein sein!«

And he answered David the priest and he said to him that except woman [is] withheld to us as yesterday three days ago when go out I and they were [the] vessels of the young men holiness and it [is] a journey of profaneness and indeed? for this day it is holy in the vessel.

6 Da gab ihm der Priester geweihtes Brot, weil dort kein anderes Brot vorhanden war als nur die Schaubrote, die man vor dem Angesicht des HERRN wegnimmt, um neugebackene Brote am Tage ihrer Wegnahme dafür aufzulegen.

And he gave to him the priest a holy thing for not it was there bread that except [the] bread of the presence which had been removed from to before Yahweh to put bread of heat on [the] day was taken away it.

7 Es war aber an jenem Tage ein Mann dort anwesend, im Heiligtum vor dem HERRN abgesondert, einer von Sauls Dienern, ein Edomiter namens Doeg, der Aufseher der Hirten Sauls.

And there a man one of [the] servants of Saul on the day that [was] detained before Yahweh and name his [was] Doeg the Edomite [the] mighty [one] of the shepherds who [belonged] to Saul.

8 David fragte dann Ahimelech: »Hast du hier nicht irgendeinen Speer oder ein Schwert zur Hand? Ich habe nämlich weder mein Schwert noch meine anderen Waffen mitgenommen, weil der Auftrag des Königs große Eile hatte.«

And he said David to Ahimelech and where? there here under hand your [is] a spear or a sword for both sword my as well as weapons my not I took in hand my for it was [the] matter of the king urgent.

9 Der Priester antwortete: »Das Schwert des Philisters Goliath, den du im Terebinthental erschlagen hast, das ist noch hier, eingewickelt in ein Tuch, hinter dem Priesterkleide; wenn du es für dich nehmen willst, so nimm es hin; denn ein anderes ist sonst nicht hier.« David erwiderte: »Seinesgleichen gibt es nicht: gib es mir her!«

And he said the priest [the] sword of Goliath the Philistine whom you struck down - in [the] valley of Elah here! it [is] wrapped in the cloak behind the ephod if it you will take for yourself take [it] for there not [is] another except it in this [place] and he said David there not [is] like it give it to me.

10 Hierauf machte sich David auf den Weg und floh an jenem Tage vor Saul und begab sich zu Achis, dem König von Gath.

And he arose David and he fled on the day that from before Saul and he went to Achish [the] king of Gath.

11 Da sagten die Diener des Achis zu diesem: »Das ist ja David, der König des Landes; das ist ja der, zu dessen Ehren sie bei den Reigentänzen singen: ›Saul hat seine Tausende geschlagen, David aber seine Zehntausende.‹«

And they said [the] servants of Achish to him ¿ not [is] this David [the] king of the land ¿ not of this [one] do people sing with dances saying he has struck down Saul (thousands his *Q(K)*) and David (ten thousands his. *Q(K)*)

12 Diese Worte machten David überaus bedenklich, und er geriet in große Furcht vor Achis, dem König von Gath.

And he put David the words these in heart his and he was afraid exceedingly of Achish [the] king of Gath.

13 Daher stellte er sich wahnsinnig vor ihnen und gebärdete sich wie ein Rasender unter ihren Händen, trommelte an die Torflügel und ließ den Speichel in seinen Bart fließen.

And he changed it sense his in view their and he pretended to be mad in hand their (and he made marks *Q(k)*) on [the] doors of the gate and he made to flow down spittle his to beard his.

14 Da sagte Achis zu seinen Dienern: »Ihr seht doch, daß der Mann verrückt ist: warum bringt ihr ihn zu mir?

And he said Achish to servants his there! you see a man behaving like a madman why? do you bring him to me.

15 Fehlt es mir hier etwa an verrückten Leuten, daß ihr mir auch diesen noch hergebracht habt, damit er den Verrückten bei mir spiele? Der sollte mir ins Haus kommen?«

Lacking of madmen [am] I? that you have brought this one to behave like a madman on me ¿ this one will he come into house my.
