1 Samuel 10

1 Hierauf nahm Samuel die Ölflasche und goß sie ihm aufs Haupt, küßte ihn dann und sagte: »Hiermit hat der HERR dich zum Fürsten über sein Eigentumsvolk Israel gesalbt!«

And he took Samuel [the] flask of oil and he poured [it] on head his and he kissed him and he said ¿ In-deed he has anointed you Yahweh (to ruler over people his over of Israel and you she will retain among a people Yahweh and you you deliver him from [the] hand of enemies its from round about and this of you [will be] the sign he has anointed you Yahweh *X*) over inheritance his to ruler.

2 »Wenn du jetzt von mir weggehst, wirst du beim Grabe der Rahel an der Grenze von Benjamin, in Zelzah, zwei Männer treffen, die zu dir sagen werden: ›Die Eselinnen, zu deren Aufsuchung du ausgezogen bist, haben sich wiedergefunden; dein Vater denkt jetzt nicht mehr an den Vorfall mit den Eselinnen, macht sich aber um euch Sorge und sagt: Was soll ich wegen meines Sohnes tun?‹

When going you this day from with me and you will find two men near [the] tomb of Rachel in [the] territory of Benjamin at Zelzah and they will say to you they have been found the she-asses which you went to seek and there! he has abandoned father your [the] matter of the she-asses and he is anxious to you saying what? will I do for son my.

3 Wenn du dann von dort weiterwanderst und zum Terebinthenhain von Thabor gekommen bist, so werden dir dort drei Männer begegnen, die zum Heiligtum Gottes nach Bethel hinaufgehen; der eine trägt drei Böckchen, der andere drei Laibe Brot und der dritte einen Schlauch Wein.

And you will pass on from there and beyond and you will come to [the] great tree of Tabor and they will find you there three men going up to God Beth-el one [will be] carrying - three kids and one [will be] carrying three round loaves of bread and one [will be] carrying a skin of wine.

4 Sie werden dich begrüßen und dir zwei Brote anbieten, die du von ihnen annehmen sollst.

And they will ask of you to welfare and they will give to you two bread[s] and you will take [them] from hand their.

5 Hierauf wirst du nach Gibea-Elohim kommen, wo die Säule der Philister steht, und beim Eintritt in den Ort wirst du dort einer Schar Propheten begegnen, die von der Höhe herabkommen, und vor ihnen her erschallt Musik von Harfen, Pauken, Flöten und Zithern, während sie selbst sich in prophetischer Begeisterung befinden.

After thus you will come Gibeah of God where [are] there [the] garrisons of [the] Philistines and it will be when coming you there the city and you will meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place and [will be] before them lyre and tambourine and flute and harp and they [will be] prophesying.

6 Da wird dann der Geist des HERRN auch über dich kommen, so daß du mit ihnen in Begeisterung gerätst und in einen anderen Menschen verwandelt wirst.

And it will rush on you [the] spirit of Yahweh and you will prophesy with them and you will be changed into a man another.

7 Wenn nun diese Zeichen bei dir eingetroffen sind, so tu, wozu du dich gerade getrieben fühlst, denn Gott ist mit dir!

And it will be that (they will come *Q(k)*) the signs these to you do for yourself [that] which it will find hand your for God [is] with you.

8 Gehe vor mir nach Gilgal hinab; ich werde alsdann zu dir dorthin kommen, um Brandopfer darzubringen und Heilsopfer zu schlachten. Sieben Tage sollst du dort warten, bis ich zu dir komme und dir mitteile, was du zu tun hast.«

And you will go down before me Gilgal and there! I [am] about to come down to you to offer up burnt offerings to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings seven days may you wait until come I to you and I will make known to you [that] which you will do.

9 Sobald nun Saul den Rücken gewandt hatte, um von Samuel wegzugehen, da verwandelte ihm Gott sein Herz; und alle diese Zeichen trafen an jenem Tage ein.

And it was when turned he shoulder his to go from with Samuel and he changed for him God a heart another and they came all the signs these on the day that.

10 Denn als sie dorthin, nach Gibea, kamen und ihm die Prophetenschar begegnete, da kam plötzlich der Geist Gottes über ihn, so daß er mitten unter ihnen in prophetische Begeisterung geriet.

And they came there Gibeah towards and there! a company of prophets to meet him and it rushed on him [the] spirit of God and he prophesied in midst of them.

11 Als nun alle, die ihn von früher her kannten, sahen, wie er sich gleich den anderen als Prophet gebärdete, fragten die Leute sich untereinander: »Was ist denn mit dem Sohn des Kis vorgegangen? Gehört denn Saul auch zu den Propheten?«

And it was every [one who] knew him from yesterday three days ago and they saw and there! with prophets [he is] prophesying and it said the people each to neighbor his what? this has it happened to [the] son of Kish ¿ also [is] Saul among the prophets.

12 Da antwortete ein Mann von dort: »Aber wer ist denn deren Vater?« Daher rührt das Sprichwort: »Gehört Saul auch zu den Propheten?«

And he answered a man from there and he said and who? [is] father their there-fore it became a proverb ¿ also [is] Saul among the prophets.

13 Als dann seine prophetische Begeisterung vorüber war und er nach Hause gekommen war,

And he finished from prophesying and he came the high place.

14 fragte sein Vetter ihn und seinen Knecht: »Wohin seid ihr gegangen?« Er antwortete: »Wir wollten die Eselinnen suchen, und als wir sahen, daß sie nirgends zu finden waren, sind wir zu Samuel gegangen.«

And he said [the] uncle of Saul to him and to servant his where? did you go and he said to seek the she-asses and we saw that there not and we went to Samuel.

15 Da bat ihn sein Vetter: »Teile mir doch mit, was Samuel euch gesagt hat!«

And he said [the] uncle of Saul tell! please to me what? did he say to you Samuel.

16 Da erwiderte Saul seinem Vetter: »Nun, er hat uns mitgeteilt, daß die Eselinnen sich wiedergefunden hätten.« Was ihm aber Samuel in betreff des Königtums gesagt hatte, davon verriet er ihm nichts.

And he said Saul to uncle his certainly he told to us that they had been found the she-asses and [the] word of the kingship not he told to him which he had said Samuel.

17 Hierauf berief Samuel das Volk zum (Heiligtum des) HERRN nach Mizpa

And he called together Samuel the people to Yahweh Mizpah.

18 und sagte zu den Israeliten: »So hat der HERR, der Gott Israels, gesprochen: ›Ich bin’s, der Israel aus Ägypten heraufgeführt und euch aus der Hand der Ägypter und aus der Gewalt aller Königreiche, die euch bedrängten, errettet hat.

And he said - to [the] people of Israel. Thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel I I brought up Israel from Egypt and I delivered you from [the] hand of Egypt and from [the] hand of all the kingdoms that were oppressing you.

19 Ihr aber habt jetzt euren Gott verworfen, der euch aus allen euren Nöten und Bedrängnissen errettet hat, und habt zu ihm gesagt: ›Nein, einen König sollst du über uns einsetzen!‹ Nun denn, so stellt euch vor dem HERRN nach euren Stämmen und nach euren Tausendschaften auf!«

And you this day you have rejected God your who he [is] a deliverer of you from all calamities your and troubles your and you have said to him for a king you will appoint over us and therefore present yourselves before Yahweh to tribes your and to families your.

20 Als dann Samuel alle Stämme Israels hatte antreten lassen, wurde der Stamm Benjamin durchs Los getroffen;

And he brought near Samuel all [the] tribes of Israel and it was taken by lot [the] tribe of Benjamin.

21 und als er den Stamm Benjamin nach seinen Geschlechtern antreten ließ, wurde das Geschlecht der Matriten und aus diesem Saul, der Sohn des Kis, getroffen; als man aber nach ihm suchte, war er nicht zu finden.

And he brought near [the] tribe of Benjamin (to families its *Q(K)*) and it was taken by lot [the] clan of Matri and he was taken by lot Saul [the] son of Kish and they sought him and not he was found.

22 Da fragte man nochmals beim HERRN an: »Ist der Mann überhaupt hergekommen?« Der HERR antwortete: »Jawohl, er hält sich beim Gepäck versteckt.«

And they enquired again by Yahweh ¿ has he come yet here [the] man. And he said Yahweh here! he [is] hiding himself into the baggage.

23 Da eilte man hin und holte ihn von dort; und als er dann mitten unter das Volk trat, überragte er alle anderen um eines Hauptes Länge.

And they ran and they took him from there and he presented himself in among the people and he was tall more than all the people from shoulder his and up-wards.

24 Da sagte Samuel zu dem ganzen Volk: »Seht ihr wohl, wen der HERR sich erwählt hat? Diesem kommt keiner im ganzen Volke gleich!« Da erhob das ganze Volk ein Jubelgeschrei und rief: »Es lebe der König!«

And he said Samuel to all the people ¿ do you see [the one] whom he has chosen him Yahweh for there not [is] like him among all the people and they shouted all the people and they said may he live the king.

25 Darauf brachte Samuel die Rechte des Königtums zur Kenntnis des Volkes und trug sie in ein Buch ein, das er vor den HERRN niederlegte; danach entließ Samuel das ganze Volk, einen jeden in seine Heimat.

And he spoke Samuel to the people [the] right[s] of the kingship and he wrote in the book and he set [it] before Yahweh and he sent away Samuel all the people each man to own house his.

26 Auch Saul kehrte in seinen Wohnort nach Gibea zurück, und eine Kriegerschar der Tapferen, denen Gott das Herz gerührt hatte, gab ihm das Geleit.

And also Saul he went to own house his Gibeah towards and they went with him the army which he had touched God heart their.

27 Einige nichtswürdige Leute aber sagten: »Was wird der uns helfen können?« So verachteten sie ihn und ließen ihm kein Huldigungsgeschenk zukommen; doch er tat, als merkte er es nicht.

And sons of worthlessness they said what? will he deliver us this one and they despised him and not they brought to him a gift and he was like [one who] kept silent.
