1 Im vierhundertachtzigsten Jahr nach dem Auszug der Israeliten aus Ägypten, im vierten Jahre der Regierung Salomos über Israel, im Monat Siw – das ist der zweite Monat –, da begann Salomo den Bau des Tempels für den HERRN.
And it was in eighty year and four hundred year of [the] coming out of [the] people of Israel from [the] land of Egypt in the year fourth in [the] month of Ziv that [was] the month second of [the] reigning of Solomon over Israel and he built the house for Yahweh.
2 Der Tempel, den der König Salomo für den HERRN baute, war sechzig Ellen lang, zwanzig Ellen breit und dreißig Ellen hoch.
And the house which he built the king Solomon for Yahweh [was] sixty cubit[s] length its and [was] twenty breadth its and [was] thirty cubit[s] height its.
3 Die Halle an der Vorderseite des Großraumes des Gebäudes war zwanzig Ellen breit, entsprechend der Breite des Gebäudes, und zehn Ellen tief in der Längsrichtung des Gebäudes.
And the porch on [the] face of [the] temple of the house [was] twenty cubit[s] length its on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] ten by the cubit breadth its on [the] face of the house.
4 (Salomo) ließ an dem Tempel Fenster mit unbeweglichem Gitterwerk anbringen
And he made for the house windows of frames shut.
5 und führte an der Wand des Tempels ringsum, sowohl um den Großraum als auch um den Hinterraum, einen Anbau auf und richtete so ringsum Seitenräume ein.
And he built on [the] wall of the house (an extension *Q(K)*) all around [the] walls of the house around the temple and the innermost room and he made side-chambers all around.
6 Das unterste Stockwerk (dieses Anbaus) war fünf Ellen breit, das mittlere sechs, das dritte sieben Ellen breit; denn Salomo hatte außen am Tempel ringsum Absätze anbringen lassen, damit die Querbalken nicht in die Mauern des Hauptgebäudes eingriffen.
(The extension *Q(K)*) lower [was] five by the cubit breadth its and the middle [extension] [was] six by the cubit breadth its and third [extension] [was] seven by the cubit breadth its for ledges he made for the house around [the] outside towards to not to have hold in [the] walls of the house.
7 Beim Bau des Tempels verwandte man aber nur Steine, die beim Brechen (im Steinbruch) schon fertig behauen waren, so daß man während der Errichtung des Gebäudes von Hämmern und Meißeln, überhaupt von eisernen Werkzeugen im Tempel nichts hörte.
And the house when was built it stone perfect quarry it was built and hammers and axe any article of iron not it was heard in the house when was built it.
8 Der Eingang zum untersten Stockwerk des Anbaus befand sich an der Südseite des Gebäudes; und auf einer Wendeltreppe stieg man in das mittlere und vom mittleren in das dritte Stockwerk hinauf.
[the] entrance of The side-chamber middle [was] to [the] side of the house south and by stairs people went up to the middle and from the middle to the thirty.
9 Als er so den Bau des Tempels vollendet hatte, deckte er das Gebäude mit Balken und Bohlenreihen von Zedernholz.
And he built the house and he finished it and he covered the house beams and planks with cedar.
10 Den Anbau aber führte er um den ganzen Tempel her auf, jedes Stockwerk fünf Ellen hoch, und verband ihn mit dem Hauptgebäude durch Zedernbalken.
And he built (the extension *Q(K)*) on all the house [was] five cubits height its and he covered the house with wood of cedar.
11 Und es erging das Wort des HERRN an Salomo folgendermaßen:
And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Solomon saying.
12 »So steht es mit diesem Hause, das du eben erbaust: Wenn du nach meinen Satzungen wandelst und meinen Weisungen nachkommst, alle meine Gebote hältst, so daß du nach ihnen wandelst, so will ich die Verheißung an dir wahrmachen, die ich deinem Vater David gegeben habe:
The house this which you [are] building if you will walk in statutes my and judgments my you will observe and you will keep all commandments my to walk in them and I will establish word my with you which I spoke to David father your.
13 ich werde alsdann inmitten der Israeliten wohnen und mein Volk Israel nicht verlassen.«
And I will dwell in among [the] people of Israel and not I will abandon people my Israel.
14 Als nun Salomo mit dem Bau des Hauses fertig war,
And he built Solomon the house and he finished it.
15 bekleidete er die Wände des Tempels im Inneren des Hauses mit Brettern von Zedernholz: vom Fußboden des Gebäudes bis zu den Balken der Decke täfelte er die inneren Wände mit Holz und belegte den Fußboden des Tempels mit Bohlen von Zypressenholz.
And he built [the] walls of the house from inside with boards of cedar from [the] floor of the house to [the] walls of the ceiling he overlaid wood from inside and he overlaid [the] floor of the house with boards of cypresses.
16 Ebenso bekleidete er die zwanzig Ellen an der Hinterseite des Tempels mit Zedernbrettern vom Fußboden bis an die Decke und baute sich so im Inneren des Tempels den Hinterraum als das Allerheiligste aus.
And he built twenty cubit[s] (from [the] innermost parts of *Q(k)*) the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the walls and he built for it from inside to an innermost room to [the] holy place of the holy places.
17 Aber das vordere Tempelhaus, das heißt der Großraum vorn vor dem Allerheiligsten, maß vierzig Ellen.
And forty by the cubit it was the house that [is] the temple before me.
18 So bestand denn das ganze Haus im Inneren aus Zedernholz, verziert mit Schnitzwerk in Form von wilden Gurken und Blumengewinden, alles von Zedernholz, so daß kein Stein zu sehen war.
And cedar [was] to the house within carving of gourds and spread out [things] of flowers everything [was] cedar not stone [was] visible.
19 Den Hinterraum aber im Inneren des Gebäudes richtete er so ein, daß er die Bundeslade des HERRN dort unterbringen konnte.
And an innermost room in [the] middle of the house from within he prepared to put there [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh.
20 Der Hinterraum war nämlich zwanzig Ellen lang, zwanzig Ellen breit und zwanzig Ellen hoch, und er ließ ihn mit feinem Gold überziehen; auch den Zedernholz-Altar vor dem Hinterraum überzog er damit.
And before the innermost room [was] twenty cubit[s] length and [was] twenty cubit[s] breadth and [was] twenty cubit[s] height its and he overlaid it gold gold plate and he overlaid an altar cedar.
21 Weiter überzog Salomo das Gebäude im Inneren mit feinem Gold und zog vor dem Hinterraum goldene Ketten her und überzog auch ihn mit Gold.
And he overlaid Solomon the house from within gold gold plate and he made pass (with chains of *Q(K)*) gold before the innermost room and he overlaid it gold.
22 Den ganzen Tempel überzog er also im Inneren mit Gold, das ganze Gebäude vollständig; auch den Altar, der vor dem Allerheiligsten stand, überzog er ganz mit Gold.
And all the house he overlaid gold until was finished all the house and all the altar which [belonged] to the innermost room he overlaid gold.
23 Weiter ließ er im Allerheiligsten zwei Cherube aus Ölbaumholz anfertigen, je zehn Ellen hoch.
And he made in the innermost room two cherubim wood of olive [was] ten cubits height its.
24 Jeder Flügel der beiden Cherube maß fünf Ellen, so daß von der einen Flügelspitze bis zu der andern ein Abstand von zehn Ellen war.
And [was] five cubits [the] wing of the cherub one and [was] five cubits [the] wing of the cherub second [was] ten cubits from [the] ends of wings its and to [the] ends of wings its.
25 Und zehn Ellen maß auch der andere Cherub: beide Cherube hatten dasselbe Maß und dieselbe Gestalt;
And [was] ten by the cubit the cherub second a measurement one and a shape one [belonged] to [the] two the cherubim.
26 die Höhe des einen Cherubs betrug zehn Ellen und ebenso die des anderen Cherubs.
[the] height of The cherub one [was] ten by the cubit and thus the cherub second.
27 Er stellte die beiden Cherube dann in der Mitte des innersten Tempelraumes auf, und sie hielten ihre Flügel so ausgebreitet, daß der Flügel des einen Cherubs diese Wand des Allerheiligsten und der Flügel des andern Cherubs die andere Wand berührte, während ihre inneren Flügel in der Richtung nach der Mitte des Raumes aneinander stießen.
And he put the cherubim in [the] middle of - the house inner and they spread out [the] wings of the cherubim and it touched [the] wing of the one [cherub] the wall and [the] wing of the cherub second [was] touching the wall second and wings their to [the] middle of the house [were] touching wing to wing.
28 Auch die Cherube überzog er mit Gold.
And he overlaid the cherubim gold.
29 Weiter ließ er an allen Wänden des Gebäudes ringsum Schnitzwerk von Cheruben, Palmen und Blumengewinden anbringen.
And all [the] walls of the house round about - he carved engravings of carvings of cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers from to faces and to the outer.
30 Auch den Fußboden des Tempels ließ er mit Gold überziehen sowohl im Hinterraum als auch im Vorderraum.
And [the] floor of the house he overlaid gold to within and to the outer.
31 Und für den Eingang in den Hinterraum ließ er eine Türeinfassung von Ölbaumholz anfertigen; die Oberschwelle und die Pfosten bildeten ein Fünfeck.
And [the] entrance of the innermost room he made doors of wood of olive the pillar doorposts of fifth.
32 Auf den beiden Türflügeln von Ölbaumholz aber ließ er Schnitzwerk von Cheruben, Palmen und Blumengewinden anbringen und sie dann mit Gold überziehen, und zwar die Cherube und die Palmen mit breitgeschlagenem Gold.
And two doors of wood of olive and he carved on them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers and he overlaid [them] gold and he hammered out on the cherubim and on the palm trees the gold.
33 Ebenso ließ er auch für den Eingang zum Großraum eine Türeinfassung von Ölbaumholz anfertigen, die ein Viereck bildete,
And thus he made for [the] entrance of the temple doorposts of wood of olive from with a fourth.
34 dazu zwei Türflügel von Zypressenholz, von denen jeder aus zwei drehbaren Blättern bestand.
And two doors of wood of cypresses two sides the door one [were] revolving and two curtains the door second [were] revolving.
35 Er ließ dann Schnitzwerk darauf anbringen, nämlich Cherube, Palmen und Blumengewinde, und ließ sie mit Goldblech überziehen, das dem Schnitzwerk genau angepaßt war.
And he carved cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers and he overlaid gold made smooth on the carved [work].
36 Darauf ließ er den inneren Vorhof mit einer Mauer umziehen, die aus drei Lagen von Quadersteinen und einer Lage von Zedernbalken bestand.
And he built the court inner three rows of hewn [stone] and a row of beams of cedar.
37 Im vierten Jahre (der Regierung Salomos), im Monat Siw, war der Grund zum Tempel des HERRN gelegt worden,
In the year fourth it was founded [the] house of Yahweh in [the] month of Ziv.
38 und im elften Jahre, im Monat Bul – das ist der achte Monat –, war der Tempel vollendet in allen seinen Teilen und mit allem, was dazu gehörte; sieben Jahre also hatte man daran gebaut.
And in the year one [plus] ten in [the] month of Bul that [was] the month eighth it was complete the house to all parts its and to all (plans its *Q(K)*) and he built it seven years.
