1 Johannes 5

1 Jeder, der da glaubt, daß Jesus der Gottgesalbte ist, der ist aus Gott erzeugt, und jeder, der seinen Vater liebt, liebt auch dessen Kinder.

Everyone who is believing that Jesus is the Christ of God has been born, and everyone who is loving the [One] having begotten [Him] loves also the [one] begotten from Him.

2 Daran erkennen wir, daß wir die Kinder Gottes lieben, wenn wir Gott lieben und seine Gebote erfüllen.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when God we may love and the commandments of Him (we may perform. *N(k)O*)

3 Denn das ist die Liebe zu Gott, daß wir seine Gebote halten; und seine Gebote sind nicht schwer;

This for is the love of God, that the commandments of Him we may keep; and the commandments of Him burdensome not are.

4 denn alles, was aus Gott erzeugt ist, überwindet die Welt; und dies ist die Siegesmacht, welche die Welt überwunden hat: unser Glaube.

For everyone who born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory which having overcome the world: the faith of us.

5 Wer anders aber ist es, der die Welt überwindet, außer dem, welcher glaubt, daß Jesus der Sohn Gottes ist?

who (now *no*) is the [one] overcoming the world only except the [one] believing that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 Dieser ist es, der durch Wasser und Blut gekommen ist, Jesus Christus; nicht im Wasser allein, sondern im Wasser und im Blut; und der Geist ist es, der Zeugnis (für ihn) ablegt, weil der Geist die Wahrheit ist.

This is the [One] having come through water and blood, Jesus (*k*) Christ; not by water only, but by water and (by *no*) blood; And the Spirit is the [One] testifying, because the Spirit is the truth;

7 Drei sind es nämlich, die Zeugnis ablegen:

For three there are those bearing testimony: (in the heaven the Father the Word and the Holy Spirit and these three one are *K*)

8 der Geist, das Wasser und das Blut; und diese drei sind vereint.

(and three are those bearing testimony in the earth: *K*) the Spirit and the water and the blood — and these three in one are.

9 Wenn wir schon das Zeugnis der Menschen annehmen, so hat das Zeugnis Gottes doch noch größere Kraft; denn darin besteht das Zeugnis Gottes, daß er Zeugnis über seinen Sohn abgelegt hat.

If the testimony of men we receive, the testimony of God greater is, For this is the testimony of God (that *N(k)O*) He has testified concerning the Son of Him.

10 Wer an den Sohn Gottes glaubt, hat das Zeugnis in ihm. Wer (dagegen) Gott nicht glaubt, hat ihn (damit) zum Lügner gemacht; denn er hat dem Zeugnis, das Gott über seinen Sohn abgelegt hat, keinen Glauben geschenkt.

The [one] believing in the Son of God has the testimony in (himself; *NK(o)*) The [one] not believing in God a liar has made Him, because not he has believed in the testimony that has testified God concerning the Son Him.

11 Und dies Zeugnis lautet so: »Gott hat uns ewiges Leben gegeben, und dieses Leben ist in seinem Sohne vorhanden. (aiōnios g166)

And this is the testimony that life eternal has given to us God; and this the life in the Son of Him is. (aiōnios g166)

12 Wer den Sohn hat, der hat das Leben; wer den Sohn Gottes nicht hat, der hat auch das Leben nicht.«

The [one] having the Son has life; the [one] not having the Son of God life not has.

13 Dies habe ich euch, die ihr an den Namen des Sohnes Gottes glaubt, geschrieben, damit ihr wißt, daß ihr ewiges Leben habt. (aiōnios g166)

These things have I written to you (to those believing into the name of the Son of God *K*) so that you may know that life you have eternal (and so that *K*) (to those *no*) (believing *N(k)O*) in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)

14 Und dies ist die freudige Zuversicht, die wir zu ihm haben, daß, wenn wir ihn um etwas nach seinem Willen bitten, er uns erhört.

And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if anything we shall ask according to the will of Him He hears us;

15 Und wenn wir wissen, daß er alle unsere Bitten erhört, so wissen wir (zugleich), daß die Bitten, die wir vor ihn gebracht haben, uns schon gewährt sind. –

And if we know that He hears us whatever (maybe *N(k)O*) we shall ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked (from *N(k)O*) Him.

16 Wenn jemand seinen Bruder eine Sünde begehen sieht, eine Sünde, die nicht zum Tode ist, so soll er (für ihn) bitten und ihm dadurch zum Leben verhelfen, nämlich denen, die nicht zum Tode sündigen. Es gibt (nämlich) auch eine Sünde zum Tode; von dieser sage ich nicht, daß man (für eine solche) Fürbitte einlegen soll.

If anyone shall see the brother of him sinning a sin not unto death, he will ask and He will give to him life, to those sinning not unto death. There is a sin unto death; not concerning that [one] do I say that he may implore.

17 Jede Ungerechtigkeit ist Sünde; doch es gibt auch Sünde, die nicht zum Tode ist.

All unrighteousness sin is, and there is sin not unto death.

18 Wir wissen, daß jeder, der aus Gott erzeugt ist, nicht sündigt, sondern wer aus Gott erzeugt ist, bewahrt sich, und der Böse tastet ihn nicht an.

We know that everyone who born of God not continues to sin; but the [One] having been begotten of God protects (himself, *NK(o)*) and the evil [one] not does touch him.

19 Wir wissen, daß wir aus Gott sind, die ganze Welt dagegen im Argen liegt.

We know that of God we are and the world whole in the evil [one] lies.

20 Wir wissen aber (auch), daß der Sohn Gottes gekommen ist und uns Einsicht verliehen hat, damit wir den Wahrhaftigen erkennen; und wir sind in dem Wahrhaftigen, (indem wir) in seinem Sohne Jesus Christus (sind). Dieser ist der wahrhaftige Gott und ewiges Leben. (aiōnios g166)

We know now that the Son of God is come and has given us understanding so that (we may know *NK(o)*) Him who [is] true, and we are in Him who [is] true, in the Son of Him Jesus Christ. He is the true God and (*k*) life eternal. (aiōnios g166)

21 Kindlein, hütet euch vor den Götzen!

Little children, do keep (yourselves *N(k)O*) from idols (Amen. *KO*)
