1 Chronik 9

1 Alle Israeliten wurden nach den Geschlechtern in ein Verzeichnis eingetragen; sie finden sich bekanntlich im Buche der Könige von Israel aufgezeichnet. Die Judäer aber wurden wegen ihres treulosen Abfalls nach Babylon (in die Gefangenschaft) geführt.

Thus all Israel were nombred by their genealogies: and beholde, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Israel and of Iudah, and they were caried away to Babel for their transgression.

2 Die früheren Bewohner nun, die in ihrem Erbbesitz, in ihren Ortschaften lebten, waren: die (gemeinen) Israeliten, die Priester, die Leviten und die Tempelhörigen.

And the chiefe inhabitants that dwelt in their owne possessions, and in their owne cities, euen Israel the Priestes, the Leuites, and the Nethinims.

3 In Jerusalem aber wohnten von den Judäern und Benjaminiten sowie von den Ephraimiten und Manassiten folgende:

And in Ierusalem dwelt of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh.

4 Von den Judäern: Uthai, der Sohn Ammihuds, des Sohnes Omris, des Sohnes Imris, des Sohnes Banis, von den Nachkommen des Perez, des Sohnes Judas;

Vthai the sonne of Amihud the sonne of Omri, the sonne of Imri, the sonne of Bani: of the children of Pharez, the sonne of Iudah.

5 und von den Siloniten: Asaja, der Erstgeborene, und seine Söhne;

And of Shiloni, Asaiah the eldest, and his sonnes.

6 und von den Nachkommen Serahs: Jehuel und seine Geschlechtsgenossen, zusammen 690.

And the sonnes of Zerah, Ieuel, and their brethren sixe hundreth and ninetie.

7 Ferner von den Benjaminiten: Sallu, der Sohn Mesullams, des Sohnes Hodawjas, des Sohnes Hassenuas;

And of the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Hodauiah, the sonne of Hasenuah,

8 sodann Jibneja, der Sohn Jerohams, und Ela, der Sohn Ussis, des Sohnes Michris; und Mesullam, der Sohn Sephatjas, des Sohnes Reguels, des Sohnes Jibnejas;

And Ibneiah the sonne of Ieroham, and Elah the sonne of Vzzi, the sonne of Michri, and Meshullam the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Reuel, the sonne of Ibniiah.

9 dazu ihre Genossen nach ihren Geschlechtern, zusammen 956. Alle diese Männer waren Familienhäupter in ihren Familien.

And their brethren according to their generations nine hundreth, fiftie and sixe: all these men were chiefe fathers in the housholdes of their fathers.

10 Ferner von den Priestern: Jedaja, Jojarib, Jachin

And of the Priestes, Iedaiah, and Iehoiarib, and Iachin,

11 und Asarja, der Sohn Hilkias, des Sohnes Mesullams, des Sohnes Zadoks, des Sohnes Merajoths, des Sohnes Ahitubs, der Fürst des Tempels Gottes;

And Azariah the sonne of Hilkiah, ye sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub the chiefe of the house of God,

12 sodann Adaja, der Sohn Jerohams, des Sohnes Pashurs, des Sohnes Malkias; und Maesai, der Sohn Adiels, des Sohnes Jahseras, des Sohnes Mesullams, des Sohnes Mesillemiths, des Sohnes Immers;

And Adaiah the sonne of Ieroham, ye sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiiah, and Maasai the sonne of Adiel, the sonne of Iahzerah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Meshillemith, the sonne of Immer.

13 dazu ihre Geschlechtsgenossen, Häupter ihrer Familien, zusammen 1760, tüchtige Männer zur Verrichtung des Dienstes im Tempel Gottes.

And their brethre the chiefe of the households of their fathers a thousand, seuen hundreth and three score valiant men, for the worke of the seruice of the house of God.

14 Ferner von den Leviten: Semaja, der Sohn Hasubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Hasabjas, von den Nachkommen Meraris;

And of the Leuites, Shemaiah the sonne of Hasshub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah of the sonnes of Merari,

15 und Bakbakkar, Heres, Galal, Matthanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sichris, des Sohnes Asaphs;

And Bakbakkar, Heresh and Galal, and Mattaniah the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zichri, the sonne of Asaph,

16 und Obadja, der Sohn Semajas, des Sohnes Gallals, des Sohnes Jeduthuns; und Berechja, der Sohn Asas, des Sohnes Elkanas, der in den Dörfern der Netophathiter wohnte.

And Obadiah the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun, and Berechiah, the sonne of Asa, the sonne of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

17 Ferner die Torhüter: Sallum, Akkub, Talmon und Ahiman mit ihren Geschlechtsgenossen; Sallum war das Haupt

And the porters were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chiefe.

18 und hat bis heute die Wache am Königstor auf der Ostseite. Das sind die Torhüter im Lager der Leviten.

For they were porters to this time by companies of the children of Leui vnto the Kinges gate eastward.

19 Sallum aber, der Sohn Kores, des Sohnes Ebjasaphs, des Sohnes Korahs, und seine Geschlechtsgenossen aus seiner Familie, die Korahiten, waren mit der Dienstleistung als Schwellenhüter am heiligen Zelt betraut, wie auch schon ihre Vorfahren im Lager des HERRN als Hüter des Eingangs gedient hatten:

And Shallum the sonne of Kore the sonne of Ebiasaph the sonne of Korah, and his brethren the Korathites (of the house of their father) were ouer the worke, and office to keepe the gates of the Tabernacle: so their families were ouer the hoste of the Lord, keeping the entrie.

20 Pinehas, der Sohn Eleasars, – der HERR sei mit ihm! – war vor Zeiten ihr Vorsteher gewesen.

And Phinehas ye sonne of Eleazar was their guide, and the Lord was with him.

21 Sacharja aber, der Sohn Meselemjas, war Torhüter am Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes.

Zechariah the sonne of Meshelemiah was the porter of the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

22 Die Gesamtzahl derer, die zu Torhütern an den Schwellen ausersehen waren, betrug 212; sie waren in ihren Dörfern in ein Verzeichnis eingetragen; David und Samuel, der Seher, hatten sie in ihr Amt eingesetzt.

All these were chosen for porters of the gates, two hundreth and twelue, which were nombred according to their genealogies by their townes. Dauid established these and Samuel the Seer in their perpetuall office.

23 Sie selbst und ihre Nachkommen standen an den Toren des Hauses Gottes, der Zeltwohnung, um Wache zu halten.

So they and their children had the ouersight of the gates of the house of the Lord, euen of the house of the Tabernacle by wardes.

24 Nach den vier Weltgegenden sollten die Torhüter stehen, nach Osten, Westen, Norden und Süden.

The porters were in foure quarters Eastward, Westward, Northward and Southward.

25 Ihre Geschlechtsgenossen aber in ihren Dörfern hatten sich von sieben zu sieben Tagen, von einem Zeitpunkte zum andern, zugleich mit jenen zum Dienst einzustellen;

And their brethren, which were in their townes, came at seuen dayes from time to time with them.

26 denn sie, die vier Vorsteher der Torhüter, standen dauernd in Ausübung ihres Amtes. Das sind die Leviten. Sie waren aber auch über die Zellen und Schatzkammern im Tempel Gottes gesetzt

For these foure chiefe porters were in perpetuall office, and were of the Leuites and had charge of the chambers, and of the treasures in the house of God.

27 und blieben auch über Nacht rings um das Gotteshaus her, weil ihnen die Bewachung oblag und sie das Aufschließen zu besorgen hatten, und zwar Morgen für Morgen.

And they lay rounde about the house of God, because the charge was theirs, and they caused it to be opened euery morning.

28 Einige von ihnen hatten auch die Aufsicht über die gottesdienstlichen Geräte, die beim Hinein- wie beim Herausbringen allemal gezählt wurden.

And certaine of them had the rule of the ministring vessels: for they brought them in by tale, and brought them out by tale.

29 Ferner waren einige von ihnen für die Gerätschaften angestellt, und zwar für alle Gerätschaften des Heiligtums, sowie für das Feinmehl, den Wein, das Öl, den Weihrauch und die Spezereien.

Some of them also were appoynted ouer the instruments, and ouer all the vessels of the Sanctuarie, and of the floure, and the wine, and the oyle, and the incense, and the sweete odours.

30 Einige von den Mitgliedern der Priesterschaft hatten die wohlriechenden Salb-Öle aus den Spezereien herzustellen;

And certaine of the sonnes of the Priestes made oyntments of sweete odours.

31 und Matthithja, einem der Leviten, dem Erstgeborenen des Korahiten Sallum, war die Pfannenbäckerei anvertraut.

And Mattithiah one of the Leuites which was the eldest sonne of Shallum the Korhite, had the charge of the things that were made in the frying panne.

32 Ferner waren einige von den Kehathiten, ihren Geschlechtsgenossen, für die Schaubrote bestellt, die sie auf jeden Sabbat zuzurichten hatten.

And other of their brethren the sonnes of Kohath had the ouersight of the shewbread to prepare it euery Sabbath.

33 Das sind nun die Sänger, levitische Familienhäupter, die in den Zellen wohnten, von anderen Dienstleistungen befreit; denn Tag und Nacht waren sie in ihrem Amt beschäftigt.

And these are the singers, the chiefe fathers of the Leuites, which dwelt in the chambers, and had none other charge: for they had to do in that busines day and night:

34 Das sind die levitischen Familienhäupter nach ihren Geschlechtern, die Häupter; diese wohnten in Jerusalem.

These were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites according to their generations, and the principall which dwelt at Ierusalem.

35 In Gibeon aber wohnten: der Stammvater von Gibeon, Jehuel, dessen Frau Maacha hieß,

And in Gibeon dwelt ye father of Gibeon, Ieiel, and the name of his wife was Maachah.

36 und sein erstgeborener Sohn war Abdon; außerdem Zur, Kis, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

And his eldest sonne was Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

37 Gedor, Ahjo, Sacharja und Mikloth;

And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

38 Mikloth aber zeugte Simeam. Auch diese wohnten ihren Stammesgenossen gegenüber in Jerusalem bei ihren Stammesgenossen. –

And Mikloth begate Shimeam: they also dwelt with their brethren at Ierusalem, euen by their brethren.

39 Ner aber zeugte Abner, und Kis zeugte Saul, Saul zeugte Jonathan, Malchisua, Abinadab und Esbaal.

And Ner begate Kish, and Kish begate Saul, and Saul begate Ionathan and Malchishua, and Abinadab and Eshbaal.

40 Der Sohn Jonathans war Merib-Baal, und dieser zeugte Micha.

And the sonne of Ionathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begate Micah.

41 Die Söhne Michas waren: Pithon, Melech, Thahrea und Ahas.

And the sonnes of Micah were Pithon, and Melech and Tahrea.

42 Ahas zeugte Jara, Jara zeugte Alemeth, Asmaweth und Simri; Simri zeugte Moza,

And Ahaz begate Iarah, and Iarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaueth, and Zimri, and Zimri begate Moza.

43 und Moza zeugte Binea; dessen Sohn war Rephaja, dessen Sohn Eleasa, dessen Sohn Azel.

And Moza begate Binea, whose sonne was Rephaiah, and his sonne was Eleasah, and his sonne Azel.

44 Azel aber hatte sechs Söhne, die hießen: Asrikam, Bochru, Ismael, Searja, Obadja und Hanan. Dies waren die Söhne Azels.

And Azel had sixe sonnes, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ismael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these are the sonnes of Azel.
