1 Die Söhne Levis waren: Gerson, Kehath und Merari;
The sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
2 und die Söhne Kehaths: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Ussiel.
And the sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
3 Und die Söhne Amrams: Aaron und Mose, und (ihre Schwester) Mirjam. Und die Söhne Aarons: Nadab und Abihu, Eleasar und Ithamar.
And the children of Amram; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. And the sons of Aaron; Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
4 Eleasar zeugte Pinehas, Pinehas zeugte Abisua,
Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua;
5 Abisua zeugte Bukki, Bukki zeugte Ussi,
and Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi;
6 Ussi zeugte Serahja, Serahja zeugte Merajoth,
and Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth;
7 Merajoth zeugte Amarja, Amarja zeugte Ahitub,
Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub;
8 Ahitub zeugte Zadok, Zadok zeugte Ahimaaz,
and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz;
9 Ahimaaz zeugte Asarja, Asarja zeugte Johanan,
and Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan;
10 Johanan zeugte Asarja – das ist derselbe, der den Priesterdienst versah in dem Tempel, den Salomo in Jerusalem erbaut hatte –;
and Johanan begat Azariah (he it is that executed the priest’s office in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem: )
11 Asarja zeugte Amarja, Amarja zeugte Ahitub,
and Azariah begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub;
12 Ahitub zeugte Zadok, Zadok zeugte Sallum,
and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum;
13 Sallum zeugte Hilkia, Hilkia zeugte Asarja,
and Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah;
14 Asarja zeugte Seraja, Seraja zeugte Jozadak;
and Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak;
15 Jozadak aber zog mit, als der HERR die Bewohner von Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezar in die Gefangenschaft führen ließ.
And Jehozadak went [into captivity], when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
16 Die Söhne Levis waren: Gersom, Kehath und Merari.
The sons of Levi; Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
17 Dies aber sind die Namen der Söhne Gersoms: Libni und Simei.
And these be the names of the sons of Gershom; Libni and Shimei.
18 Und die Söhne Kehaths waren: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Ussiel.
And the sons of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
19 Die Söhne Meraris waren: Mahli und Musi. – Dies aber sind die Geschlechter der Leviten nach ihren Familienvätern:
The sons of Merari; Mahli and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their father’s [houses].
20 Von Gersom stammten: sein Sohn Libni, dessen Sohn Jahath, dessen Sohn Simma,
Of Gershom; Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son;
21 dessen Sohn Joah, dessen Sohn Iddo, dessen Sohn Serah, dessen Sohn Jeathrai. –
Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeatherai his son.
22 Die Söhne Kehaths waren: sein Sohn Amminadab, dessen Sohn Korah, dessen Sohn Assir,
The sons of Kohath; Amminadab his son, Koran his son, Assir his son;
23 dessen Sohn Elkana, dessen Sohn Ebjasaph, dessen Sohn Assir,
Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son;
24 dessen Sohn Thahath, dessen Sohn Uriel, dessen Sohn Ussia, dessen Sohn Saul.
Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.
25 Und die Söhne Elkanas waren: Amasai und Ahimoth;
And the sons of Elkanah; Amasai, and Ahimoth.
26 dessen Sohn war Elkana, dessen Sohn Zophai, dessen Sohn Nahath,
As for Elkanah: the sons of Elkanah; Zophai his son, and Nahath his son;
27 dessen Sohn Eliab, dessen Sohn Jeroham, dessen Sohn Elkana (dessen Sohn Samuel).
Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.
28 Und die Söhne Samuels waren: der Erstgeborene Joel und der zweite Abia. –
And the sons of Samuel; the firstborn, [Joel], and the second Abijah.
29 Die Söhne Meraris waren: Mahli, dessen Sohn Libni, dessen Sohn Simei, dessen Sohn Ussa,
The sons of Merari; Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son;
30 dessen Sohn Simea, dessen Sohn Haggia, dessen Sohn Asaja.
Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.
31 Die folgenden sind es, die David zur Leitung des Gesangs im Tempel des HERRN bestellte, nachdem die Lade dort einen festen Platz gefunden hatte;
And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest.
32 sie dienten aber als Sänger vor der Wohnung des Offenbarungszeltes, bis Salomo den Tempel des HERRN in Jerusalem erbaut hatte, und verrichteten ihr Amt nach den ihnen erteilten Weisungen.
And they ministered with song before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem: and they waited on their office according to their order.
33 Die folgenden sind es, die das Amt versahen, und ihre Nachkommen: Von den zu den Kehathiten Gehörigen: Heman, der Sänger, der Sohn Joels, des Sohnes Samuels,
And these are they that waited, and their sons. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel;
34 des Sohnes Elkanas, des Sohnes Jerohams, des Sohnes Eliels, des Sohnes Thoahs,
the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah;
35 des Sohnes Zuphs, des Sohnes Elkanas, des Sohnes Mahaths, des Sohnes Amasais,
the son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai;
36 des Sohnes Elkanas, des Sohnes Joels, des Sohnes Asarjas, des Sohnes Zephanjas,
the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah;
37 des Sohnes Thahaths, des Sohnes Assirs, des Sohnes Ebjasaphs, des Sohnes Korahs,
the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah;
38 des Sohnes Jizhars, des Sohnes Kehaths, des Sohnes Levis, des Sohnes Israels.
the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.
39 Und sein Geschlechtsgenosse war Asaph, der ihm zur Rechten stand: Asaph, der Sohn Berechjas, des Sohnes Simeas,
And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea;
40 des Sohnes Michaels, des Sohnes Baasejas, des Sohnes Malkias,
the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchijah;
41 des Sohnes Ethnis, des Sohnes Serahs, des Sohnes Adajas,
the son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah;
42 des Sohnes Ethans, des Sohnes Simmas, des Sohnes Simeis,
the son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei;
43 des Sohnes Jahaths, des Sohnes Gersoms, des Sohnes Levis.
the son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.
44 Und von den Nachkommen Meraris, ihren Geschlechtsgenossen, stand zur Linken: Ethan, der Sohn Kisis, des Sohnes Abdis, des Sohnes Malluchs,
And on the left hand their brethren the sons of Merari: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch;
45 des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Amazjas, des Sohnes Hilkias,
the son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah;
46 des Sohnes Amzis, des Sohnes Banis, des Sohnes Semers,
the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shemer;
47 des Sohnes Mahlis, des Sohnes Musis, des Sohnes Meraris, des Sohnes Levis.
the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.
48 Ihre Geschlechtsgenossen aber, die übrigen Leviten, waren für den gesamten Dienst an der Wohnung des Tempels Gottes bestellt;
And their brethren the Levites were appointed for all the service of the tabernacle of the house of God.
49 und zwar versahen Aaron und seine Nachkommen den Opferdienst auf dem Brandopferaltar und auf dem Räucheraltar und den gesamten Dienst am Allerheiligsten und was zur Versöhnung Israels diente, ganz so, wie Mose, der Knecht Gottes, geboten hatte.
But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of burnt offering, and upon the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
50 Dies waren aber die Nachkommen Aarons: sein Sohn Eleasar, dessen Sohn Pinehas, dessen Sohn Abisua,
And these are the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son;
51 dessen Sohn Bukki, dessen Sohn Ussi, dessen Sohn Serahja,
Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son;
52 dessen Sohn Merajoth, dessen Sohn Amarja, dessen Sohn Ahitub,
Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son;
53 dessen Sohn Zadok, dessen Sohn Ahimaaz.
Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.
54 Folgendes aber sind ihre Wohnsitze nach ihren Niederlassungen in ihrem Gebiet: Den Nachkommen Aarons von dem Geschlecht der Kehathiten – denn auf sie war das erste Los gefallen –,
Now these are their dwelling places according to their encampments in their borders: to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, for theirs was the [first] lot,
55 ihnen gab man Hebron im Lande Juda samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften rings um sie her;
to them they gave Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it;
56 die zur Stadt gehörigen Felder aber und die zugehörigen Dörfer übergab man Kaleb, dem Sohne Jephunnes.
but the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
57 Weiter übergab man den Nachkommen Aarons die Zufluchtstadt Hebron sowie Libna samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, ferner Jatthir und Esthemoa samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge, Hebron; Libnah also with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa with her suburbs;
58 Holon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Debir samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
and Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs;
59 Asan samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Beth-Semes samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
and Ashan with her suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with her suburbs:
60 Weiter vom Stamme Benjamin: Geba und Allemeth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Anathoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften. Die Gesamtzahl ihrer Städte betrug dreizehn nach ihren Familien. –
and out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Allemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.
61 Die übrigen Nachkommen Kehaths aber erhielten nach ihren Geschlechtern vom Stamme Ephraim und vom Stamme Dan und vom halben Stamm Manasse durchs Los zehn Städte.
And unto the rest of the sons of Kohath [were given] by lot, out of the family of the tribe, out of the half tribe, the half of Manasseh, ten cities.
62 Die Nachkommen Gersoms erhielten nach ihren Geschlechtern vom Stamme Issaschar, vom Stamme Asser, vom Stamme Naphthali und vom halben Stamm Manasse in Basan dreizehn Städte. –
And to the sons of Gershom, according to their families, out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
63 Die Nachkommen Meraris erhielten nach ihren Geschlechtern vom Stamme Ruben, vom Stamme Gad und vom Stamme Sebulon durchs Los zwölf Städte.
Unto the sons of Merari [were given] by lot, according to their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
64 So übergaben die Israeliten den Leviten die Städte samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities with their suburbs.
65 und zwar übergaben sie durchs Los jene namentlich angeführten Städte aus den Stämmen Juda, Simeon und Benjamin.
And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.
66 Was dann die übrigen Geschlechter der Nachkommen Kahaths anbetrifft, so erhielten sie die Städte, die ihnen durchs Los zufielen, vom Stamme Ephraim abgetreten;
And some of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.
67 und zwar übergab man ihnen die Zufluchtstadt Sichem samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften auf dem Gebirge Ephraim; ferner Geser samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
And they gave unto them the cities of refuge, Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim with her suburbs; Gezer also with her suburbs;
68 Jokmeam samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Beth-Horon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
and Jokmeam with her suburbs, and Beth-horon with her suburbs;
69 Ajjalon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Gath-Rimmon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
and Aijalon with her suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with her suburbs:
70 dazu vom halben Stamm Manasse: Aner samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Jibleam samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften – diese übergab man den Familien der übrigen Nachkommen Kahaths.
and out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs, and Bileam with her suburbs, for the rest of the family of the sons of Kohath.
71 Die Nachkommen Gersoms erhielten nach ihren Geschlechtern vom halben Stamm Manasse: Golan in Basan samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Astharoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
Unto the sons of Gershom [were given], out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, and Ashtaroth with her suburbs:
72 ferner vom Stamme Issaschar: Kedes samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Daberath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
and out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs;
73 Ramoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Anem samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
and Ramoth with her suburbs, and Anem with her suburbs:
74 dazu vom Stamme Asser: Masal samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Abdon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
and out of the tribe of Asher; Mashal with her suburbs, and Abdon with her suburbs;
75 Hukok samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Rehob samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
and Hukok with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs:
76 ferner vom Stamme Naphthali: Kedes in Galiläa samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Hammot samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Kirjathaim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
and out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and Hammon with her suburbs, and Kiriathaim with her suburbs.
77 Die übrigen Nachkommen Meraris erhielten vom Stamme Sebulon: Rimmon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Thabor samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
Unto the rest of [the Levites], the sons of Merari, [were given], out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono with her suburbs, Tabor with her suburbs:
78 und jenseits des Jordans gegenüber von Jericho, östlich vom Jordan, erhielten sie vom Stamme Ruben: Bezer in der Steppe samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Jahza samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften,
and beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, [were given them], out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with her suburbs, and Jahzah with her suburbs,
79 Kedemoth samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Mephaath samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
and Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs:
80 ferner vom Stamme Gad: Ramoth in Gilead samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften, Mahanaim samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften;
and out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, and Mahanaim with her suburbs,
81 Hesbon samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften und Jaser samt den zugehörigen Weidetriften.
and Heshbon with her suburbs, and Jazer with her suburbs.
