1 Chronik 2

1 Dies sind die Söhne Israels: Ruben, Simeon, Levi und Juda, Issaschar und Sebulon,

These [are] sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

2 Dan, Joseph und Benjamin, Naphthali, Gad und Asser.

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 Die Söhne Judas waren: Ger, Onan und Sela; diese drei wurden ihm von der Tochter der Kanaanitin Sua geboren. Ger aber, der erstgeborene Sohn Judas, machte sich dem HERRN verhaßt; darum ließ er ihn sterben.

Sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, three have been born to him of a daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, firstborn of Judah, is evil in the eyes of YHWH, and He puts him to death.

4 Thamar aber, seine Schwiegertochter, hatte ihm Perez und Serah geboren, so daß die Gesamtzahl der Söhne Judas fünf war.

And his daughter-in-law Tamar has borne Perez and Zerah to him. All the sons of Judah [are] five.

5 Die Söhne des Perez waren: Hezron und Hamul;

Sons of Perez: Hezron, and Hamul.

6 und die Söhne Serahs: Simri, Ethan, Heman, Chalkol und Dara, im ganzen fünf. –

And sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; all of them five.

7 Und die Söhne Karmis: Achar, der Israel ins Unglück stürzte, weil er sich an gebanntem Gut vergriff.

And sons of Carmi: Achar, troubler of Israel, who trespassed in the devoted thing.

8 Und die Söhne Ethans: Asarja.

And sons of Ethan: Azariah.

9 Und die Söhne Hezrons, die ihm geboren wurden: Jerahmeel, Ram und Kelubai.

And sons of Hezron who were born to him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

10 Ram aber zeugte Amminadab; und Amminadab zeugte Nahasson, den Fürsten der Judäer;

And Ram begot Amminadab, and Amminadab begot Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah;

11 und Nahasson zeugte Salma; Salma zeugte Boas,

and Nahshon begot Salma, and Salma begot Boaz,

12 Boas zeugte Obed, Obed zeugte Isai;

and Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse;

13 Isai zeugte Eliab, seinen Erstgeborenen, und Abinadab als zweiten, Simea als dritten,

and Jesse begot his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,

14 Nethaneel als vierten, Raddai als fünften,

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

15 Ozem als sechsten, David als siebten.

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh,

16 Und ihre Schwestern waren: Zeruja und Abigail; und die Söhne der Zeruja waren: Abisai, Joab und Asahel, die drei.

and their sisters Zeruiah and Abigail. And sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asah-El—three.

17 Abigail aber gebar Amasa, und der Vater Amasas war der Ismaelit Jether.

And Abigail has borne Amasa, and the father of Amasa [is] Jether the Ishmaelite.

18 Kaleb aber, der Sohn Hezrons, hatte Kinder von seiner Frau Asuba und von Jerigoth; und dies sind deren Söhne: Jeser, Sobab und Ardon.

And Caleb son of Hezron has begotten Azubah, Isshah, and Jerioth; and these [are] her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

19 Nach dem Tode der Asuba aber heiratete Kaleb die Ephrath; die gebar ihm den Hur.

And Azubah dies, and Caleb takes Ephrath to himself, and she bears Hur to him.

20 Hur aber zeugte Uri, und Uri zeugte Bezaleel. –

And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezaleel.

21 Darnach verband sich Hezron mit der Tochter Machirs, des Vaters Gileads, und heiratete sie, als er sechzig Jahre alt war; die gebar ihm den Segub.

And afterward Hezron has gone in to a daughter of Machir father of Gilead, and he has taken her, and he [is] a son of sixty years, and she bears Segub to him.

22 Segub zeugte dann Jair; der besaß dreiundzwanzig Städte im Lande Gilead;

And Segub begot Jair, and he has twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead,

23 aber die Gesuriter und Syrer nahmen ihnen die Jairdörfer weg, Kenath mit den zugehörigen Ortschaften, sechzig Städte. Diese alle waren Söhne Machirs, des Vaters Gileads.

and he takes Geshur and Aram, the small villages of Jair, from them, with Kenath and its small towns, sixty cities—all these [belonged to] the sons of Machir father of Gilead.

24 Und nach dem Tode Hezrons in Kaleb Ephratha gebar Abia, Hezrons Frau, ihm Ashur, den Stammvater von Thekoa.

And after the death of Hezron in Caleb-Ephratah, then the wife of Hezron, Abijah, even bears to him Asshur, father of Tekoa.

25 Die Söhne Jerahmeels, des ältesten Sohnes Hezrons, waren: der Erstgeborene Ram, sodann Buna, Oren und Ozem von Ahija.

And sons of Jerahmeel, firstborn of Hezron, are: the firstborn Ram, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.

26 Jerahmeel hatte aber noch eine andere Frau namens Atara; diese war die Mutter Onams. –

And Jerahmeel has another wife, and her name [is] Atarah, she [is] mother of Onam.

27 Die Söhne Rams, des erstgeborenen Sohnes Jerahmeels, waren: Maaz, Jamin und Eker. –

And sons of Ram, firstborn of Jerahmeel, are Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

28 Die Söhne Onams waren: Sammai und Jada; und die Söhne Sammais: Nadab und Abisur.

And sons of Onam are Shammai and Jada. And sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.

29 Die Frau Abisurs aber hieß Abihail; die gebar ihm den Achban und Molid.

And the name of the wife of Abishur [is] Abihail, and she bears Ahban and Molid to him.

30 Und die Söhne Nadabs waren: Seled und Appaim; Seled aber starb kinderlos. –

And sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim; and Seled dies without sons.

31 Und die Söhne Appaims waren: Jisei; und die Söhne Jiseis: Sesan; und die Söhne Sesans: Achlai. –

And sons of Appaim: Ishi. And sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.

32 Die Söhne Jadas, des Bruders Sammais, waren: Jether und Jonathan; Jether aber starb kinderlos.

And sons of Jada, brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether dies without sons.

33 Die Söhne Jonathans waren: Peleth und Sasa. Dies waren die Söhne Jerahmeels. –

And sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were sons of Jerahmeel.

34 Sesan hatte keine Söhne, sondern nur Töchter; er hatte aber einen ägyptischen Knecht namens Jarha.

And Sheshan had no sons, but daughters, and Sheshan has a servant, an Egyptian, and his name [is] Jarha,

35 Diesem gab Sesan seine Tochter zur Frau; die gebar ihm Atthai.

and Sheshan gives his daughter to his servant Jarha for a wife, and she bears Attai to him;

36 Atthai zeugte dann Nathan, und Nathan zeugte Sabad;

and Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabad,

37 Sabad zeugte Ephlal, Ephlal zeugte Obed,

and Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot Obed,

38 Obed zeugte Jehu, Jehu zeugte Asarja,

and Obed begot Jehu,

39 Asarja zeugte Helez, Helez zeugte Elasa,

and Jehu begot Azariah, and Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Eleasah,

40 Elasa zeugte Sisemai, Sisemai zeugte Sallum,

and Eleasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum,

41 Sallum zeugte Jekamja, Jekamja zeugte Elisama.

and Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama.

42 Die Söhne Kalebs, des Bruders Jerahmeels, waren: sein Erstgeborener Mesa – der ist der Vater Siphs – und die Söhne Maresas, des Vaters von Hebron.

And sons of Caleb brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha his firstborn, he [is] father of Ziph; and sons of Mareshah: Abi-Hebron.

43 Die Söhne Hebrons waren: Korah, Thappuah, Rekem und Sema.

And sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

44 Sema aber zeugte Raham, den Vater Jorkeams; und Rekem zeugte Sammai.

And Shema begot Raham father of Jorkoam, and Rekem begot Shammai.

45 Der Sohn Sammais war Maon, und Maon war der Vater Beth-Zurs. –

And a son of Shammai [is] Maon, and Maon [is] father of Beth-Zur.

46 Und Epha, das Nebenweib Kalebs, gebar Haran, Moza und Gases; Haran aber zeugte Gases. –

And Ephah concubine of Caleb bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez.

47 Und die Söhne Jahdais waren: Regem, Jotham, Geesan, Pelet, Epha und Saaph. –

And sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshem, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

48 Maacha, das Nebenweib Kalebs, gebar Seber und Thirhana;

The concubine of Caleb, Maachah, bore Sheber and Tirhanah;

49 sie gebar auch Saaph, den Vater Madmannas, und Sewa, den Vater Machbenas und den Vater Gibeas; und die Tochter Kalebs war Achsa.

and she bears Shaaph father of Madmannah, Sheva father of Machbenah, and father of Gibea; and a daughter of Caleb [is] Achsa.

50 Dies waren die Söhne Kalebs. Die Söhne Hurs, des Erstgeborenen von der Ephratha, waren: Sobal, der Stammvater von Kirjath-Jearim,

These were sons of Caleb son of Hur, firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim,

51 Salma, der Stammvater von Bethlehem, Hareph, der Stammvater von Beth-Gader.

Salma father of Beth-Lehem, Hareph father of Beth-Gader.

52 Und Sobal, der Stammvater von Kirjath-Jearim, hatte als Söhne: Haroe, halb Menuhoth;

And there are sons to Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim: Haroeh, half of the Menuhothite;

53 und die Geschlechter von Kirjath-Jearim waren: die Jithriter, die Puthiter, die Sumathiter und die Misraiter; von diesen sind die Zorathiter und die Esthauliter ausgegangen. –

and the families of Kirjath-Jearim: the Ithrite, and the Puhite, and the Shumathite, and the Mishraite. The Zorathite and the Eshtaolite went out from these.

54 Die Söhne Salmas waren: Bethlehem und die Netophathiter, Ateroth, Beth-Joab und die Hälfte der Manahthiter, die Zoreiter;

Sons of Salma: Beth-Lehem, and the Netophathite, Atroth, Beth-Joab, and half of the Menuhothite, the Zorite;

55 und die Geschlechter der Schriftgelehrten, die in Jabez wohnten: die Thireathiter, die Simeathiter und die Suchathiter. Das sind die Kiniter, die von Hammath, dem Stammvater des Hauses Rechab, abstammen.

and the families of the scribes, the inhabitants of Jabez: Tirathites, Shimeathites, Suchathites. They [are] the Kenites, those coming of Hammath father of the house of Rechab.
