Psalm 65
1 Ein Psalm Davids, ein Lied, vorzusingen. Gott, man lobt dich in der Stille zu Zion, und dir bezahlt man Gelübde.
To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David: a Song. Praise waiteth for thee in silence, O God, in Zion; and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
2 Du erhörst Gebet; darum kommt alles Fleisch zu dir.
O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
3 Unsre Missetat drückt uns hart; du wollest unsre Sünden vergeben.
Iniquities have prevailed against me: our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.
4 Wohl dem, den du erwählst und zu dir lässest, daß er wohne in deinen Höfen; der hat reichen Trost von deinem Hause, deinem heiligen Tempel.
Blessed is he whom thou choosest and causest to approach: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, of thy holy temple.
5 Erhöre uns nach der wunderbaren Gerechtigkeit, Gott, unser Heil, der du bist Zuversicht aller auf Erden und ferne am Meer;
By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation, thou confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of the distant regions of the sea. ...
6 der die Berge fest setzt in seiner Kraft und gerüstet ist mit Macht;
Who by his strength established the mountains, being girded with power;
7 der du stillest das Brausen des Meers, das Brausen seiner Wellen und das Toben der Völker,
Who stilleth the raging of the seas, the raging of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.
8 daß sich entsetzen, die an den Enden wohnen, vor deinen Zeichen. Du machst fröhlich, was da webet, gegen Morgen und gegen Abend.
And they that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens; thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
9 Du suchst das Land heim und wässerst es und machst es sehr reich. Gottes Brünnlein hat Wassers die Fülle. Du läßt ihr Getreide wohl geraten; denn also bauest du das Land.
Thou hast visited the earth, thou hast watered it; thou greatly enrichest it: the river of God is full of water; thou providest their corn, when thou hast so prepared it:
10 Du tränkest seine Furchen und feuchtest sein Gepflügtes; mit Regen machst du es weich und segnest sein Gewächs.
Thou dost satiate its furrows, thou smoothest its clods, thou makest it soft with showers; thou blessest the springing thereof.
11 Du krönst das Jahr mit deinem Gut, und deine Fußtapfen triefen von Fett.
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness, and thy paths drop fatness:
12 Die Weiden in der Wüste sind auch fett, daß sie triefen, und die Hügel sind umher lustig.
They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness, and the hills are girded with gladness.
13 Die Anger sind voll Schafe, und die Auen stehen dick mit Korn, daß man jauchzet und singet.
The meadows are clothed with flocks, and the valleys are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, yea, they sing.
