Jeremia 29
1 Dies sind die Worte in dem Brief, den der Prophet Jeremia sandte von Jerusalem an die übrigen Ältesten, die weggeführt waren, und an die Priester und Propheten und an das ganze Volk, das Nebukadnezar von Jerusalem hatte weggeführt gen Babel
Now these are the wordes of the booke that Ieremiah the Prophet sent from Ierusalem vnto the residue of the Elders which were caryed away captiues, and to the Priestes, and to the Prophets, and to all the people whome Nebuchad-nezzar had caried away captiue from Ierusalem to Babel:
2 (nachdem der König Jechonja und die Königin mit den Kämmerern und Fürsten in Juda und Jerusalem samt den Zimmerleuten und Schmieden zu Jerusalem weg waren),
(After that Ieconiah the King, and the Queene, and the eunuches, the princes of Iudah, and of Ierusalem, and the workemen, and cunning men were departed from Ierusalem)
3 durch Eleasa, den Sohn Saphans, und Gemarja, den Sohn Hilkias, welche Zedekia, der König Juda's, sandte gen Babel zu Nebukadnezar, dem König zu Babel:
By the hand of Elasah the sonne of Shaphan and Gemariah the sonne of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah King of Iudah sent vnto Babel to Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel) saying,
4 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, zu allen Gefangenen, die ich habe von Jerusalem wegführen lassen gen Babel:
Thus hath the Lord of hostes the God of Israel spoken vnto all that are caryed away captiues, whome I haue caused to be caryed away captiues from Ierusalem vnto Babel:
5 Bauet Häuser, darin ihr wohnen möget, pflanzet Gärten, daraus ihr Früchte essen möget;
Buylde you houses to dwell in, and plant you gardens, and eate the fruites of them.
6 nehmet Weiber und zeuget Söhne und Töchter; nehmet euren Söhnen Weiber und gebet euren Töchtern Männern, daß sie Söhne und Töchter zeugen; mehret euch daselbst, daß euer nicht wenig sei.
Take you wiues, and beget sonnes and daughters, and take wiues for your sonnes, and giue your daughters to husbands, that they may beare sonnes and daughters, that ye may bee increased there, and not diminished.
7 Suchet der Stadt Bestes, dahin ich euch habe lassen wegführen, und betet für sie zum HERRN; denn wenn's ihr wohl geht, so geht's auch euch wohl.
And seeke the prosperitie of the citie, whither I haue caused you to be caried away captiues, and pray vnto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall you haue peace.
8 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Laßt euch die Propheten, die bei euch sind, und die Wahrsager nicht betrügen und gehorcht euren Träumen nicht, die euch träumen.
For thus saith the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Let not your prophets, and your southsayers that bee among you, deceiue you, neither giue eare to your dreames, which you dreame.
9 Denn sie weissagen euch falsch in meinem Namen; ich habe sie nicht gesandt, spricht der HERR.
For they prophecie you a lie in my Name: I haue not sent them, saith the Lord.
10 Denn so spricht der HERR: Wenn zu Babel siebzig Jahre aus sind, so will ich euch besuchen und will mein gnädiges Wort über euch erwecken, daß ich euch wieder an diesen Ort bringe.
But thus saith the Lord, That after seuentie yeeres be accomplished at Babel, I will visite you, and performe my good promise toward you, and cause you to returne to this place.
11 Denn ich weiß wohl, was ich für Gedanken über euch habe, spricht der HERR: Gedanken des Friedens und nicht des Leidens, daß ich euch gebe das Ende, des ihr wartet.
For I knowe the thoughtes, that I haue thought towards you, saith the Lord, euen the thoughtes of peace, and not of trouble, to giue you an ende, and your hope.
12 Und ihr werdet mich anrufen und hingehen und mich bitten, und ich will euch erhören.
Then shall you crie vnto mee, and ye shall go and pray vnto me, and I will heare you,
13 Ihr werdet mich suchen und finden. Denn so ihr mich von ganzem Herzen suchen werdet,
And ye shall seeke mee and finde mee, because ye shall seeke mee with all your heart.
14 so will ich mich von euch finden lassen, spricht der HERR, und will euer Gefängnis wenden und euch sammeln aus allen Völkern und von allen Orten, dahin ich euch verstoßen habe, spricht der HERR, und will euch wiederum an diesen Ort bringen, von dem ich euch habe lassen wegführen.
And I wil be found of you, saith the Lord, and I will turne away your captiuitie, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places, whither I haue cast you, saith the Lord, and will bring you againe vnto the place, whence I caused you to be caryed away captiue.
15 Zwar ihr meint, der HERR habe euch zu Babel Propheten erweckt.
Because ye haue sayd, The Lord hath raised vs vp Prophets in Babel,
16 Aber also spricht der HERR vom König, der auf Davids Stuhl sitzt, und von euren Brüdern, die nicht mit euch gefangen hinausgezogen sind,
Therefore thus saith the Lord of the King, that sitteth vpon the throne of Dauid, and of all the people, that dwell in this citie, your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captiuitie:
17 ja, also spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Siehe, ich will Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz unter sie schicken und will mit ihnen umgehen wie mit den schlechten Feigen, davor einen ekelt zu essen,
Euen thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Beholde, I will sende vpon them the sworde, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figges, that cannot bee eaten, they are so naughtie.
18 und will hinter ihnen her sein mit Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz und will sie in keinem Königreich auf Erden bleiben lassen, daß sie sollen zum Fluch, zum Wunder, zum Hohn und zum Spott unter allen Völkern werden, dahin ich sie verstoßen werde,
And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence: and I will make them a terror to all kingdomes of the earth, and a curse, and astonishment and an hissing, and a reproche among all the nations whither I haue cast them,
19 darum daß sie meinen Worten nicht gehorchen, spricht der HERR, der ich meine Knechte, die Propheten, zu euch stets gesandt habe; aber ihr wolltet nicht hören, spricht der HERR.
Because they haue not hearde my words, saith the Lord, which I sent vnto them by my seruantes the Prophetes, rising vp earely, and sending them, but yee woulde not heare, saith the Lord.
20 Ihr aber alle, die ihr gefangen seid weggeführt, die ich von Jerusalem habe gen Babel ziehen lassen, hört des HERRN Wort!
Heare ye therefore the word of the Lord all ye of the captiuitie, whome I haue sent from Ierusalem to Babel.
21 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, wider Ahab, den Sohn Kolajas, und wider Zedekia, den Sohn Maasejas, die euch falsch weissagen in meinem Namen; Siehe, ich will sie geben in die Hände Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel; der soll sie totschlagen lassen vor euren Augen,
Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, of Ahab the sonne of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the sonne of Maaseiah, which prophecie lyes vnto you in my Name, Beholde, I will deliuer them into the hande of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, and he shall slay them before your eyes.
22 daß man wird aus ihnen einen Fluch machen unter allen Gefangenen aus Juda, die zu Babel sind, und sagen: Der HERR tue dir wie Zedekia und Ahab, welche der König zu Babel auf Feuer braten ließ,
And al they of the captiuitie of Iudah, that are in Babel, shall take vp this curse against them, and say, The Lord make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whome the King of Babel burnt in the fire,
23 darum daß sie eine Torheit in Israel begingen und trieben Ehebruch mit ihrer Nächsten Weibern und predigten falsch in meinem Namen, was ich ihnen nicht befohlen hatte. Solches weiß ich und bezeuge es, spricht der HERR.
Because they haue committed vilenie in Israel, and haue committed adulterie with their neighbours wiues, and haue spoken lying words in my Name, which I haue not commanded them, euen I knowe it, and testifie it, saith the Lord.
24 Und wider Semaja von Nehalam sollst du sagen:
Thou shalt also speake to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,
25 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Darum daß du unter deinem Namen hast Briefe gesandt an alles Volk, das zu Jerusalem ist, und an den Priester Zephanja, den Sohn Maasejas, und an alle Priester und gesagt:
Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy Name vnto all the people, that are at Ierusalem, and to Zephaniah the sonne of Maaseiah the Priest, and to all the Priests, saying,
26 Der HERR hat dich zum Priester gesetzt anstatt des Priesters Jojada, daß ihr sollt Aufseher sein im Hause des HERRN über alle Wahnsinnigen und Weissager, daß du sie in den Kerker und Stock legst.
The Lord hath made thee Priest for Iehoiada the Priest, that yee should bee officers in the House of the Lord, for euery man that raueth and maketh himselfe a Prophet, to put him in prison and in the stockes.
27 Nun, warum strafst du denn nicht Jeremia von Anathoth, der euch weissagt?
Nowe therefore why hast not thou reproued Ieremiah of Anathoth, which prophecieth vnto you?
28 darum daß er uns gen Babel geschickt hat und lassen sagen: Es wird noch lange währen; baut Häuser, darin ihr wohnt, und pflanzt Gärten, daß ihr die Früchte davon eßt.
For, for this cause hee sent vnto vs in Babel, saying, This captiuitie is long: buyld houses to dwell in, and plant gardens, and eate the fruites of them.
29 Denn Zephanja, der Priester hatte denselben Brief gelesen und den Propheten Jeremia lassen zuhören.
And Zephaniah the Priest red this letter in the eares of Ieremiah the Prophet.
30 Darum geschah des HERRN Wort zu Jeremia und sprach:
Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Ieremiah, saying,
31 Sende hin zu allen Gefangenen und laß ihnen sagen: So spricht der HERR wider Semaja von Nehalam: Darum daß euch Semaja weissagt, und ich habe ihn doch nicht gesandt, und macht, daß ihr auf Lügen vertraut,
Send to all them of the captiuitie, saying, Thus saith the Lord of Shemaiah the Nehelamite, Because that Shemaiah hath prophecied vnto you, and I sent him not, and hee caused you to trust in a lye,
32 darum spricht der HERR also: Siehe, ich will Semaja von Nehalam heimsuchen samt seinem Samen, daß der Seinen keiner soll unter diesem Volk bleiben, und soll das Gute nicht sehen, das ich meinem Volk tun will, spricht der HERR; denn er hat sie mit seiner Rede vom HERRN abgewendet.
Therefore thus saieth the Lord, Behold, I wil visite Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seede: hee shall not haue a man to dwell among this people, neither shall he beholde the good, that I will doe for my people, sayth the Lord, because he hath spoken rebelliously against the Lord.
