Jeremia 19
1 So spricht nun der HERR: Gehe hin und kaufe dir einen irdenen Krug vom Töpfer, samt etlichen von den Ältesten des Volks und von den Ältesten der Priester,
Thus sayth the Lord, Goe, and buy an earthen bottel of a potter, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the Priests,
2 und gehe hinaus ins Tal Ben-Hinnom, das vor dem Ziegeltor liegt, und predige daselbst die Worte, die ich dir sage,
And goe forth vnto the valley of Ben-hinnom, which is by the entrie of the East gate: and thou shalt preache there the wordes, that I shall tell thee,
3 und sprich: Höret des HERRN Wort, ihr Könige Juda's und Bürger zu Jerusalem! So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will ein solch Unglück über diese Stätte gehen lassen, daß, wer es hören wird, dem die Ohren klingen sollen,
And shalt say, Heare yee the worde of the Lord, O Kings of Iudah, and inhabitantes of Ierusalem, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring a plague vpon this place, the which whosoeuer heareth, his eares shall tingle.
4 darum daß sie mich verlassen und diese Stätte einem fremden Gott gegeben haben und andern Göttern darin geräuchert haben, die weder sie noch ihre Väter noch die Könige Juda's gekannt haben, und haben die Stätte voll unschuldigen Bluts gemacht
Because they haue forsaken me, and prophaned this place, and haue burnt incense in it vnto other gods, whome neyther they, nor their fathers haue knowen, nor the Kings of Iudah (they haue filled this place also with the blood of innocents,
5 und haben dem Baal Höhen gebaut, ihre Kinder zu verbrennen, dem Baal zu Brandopfern, was ich ihnen weder geboten noch davon geredet habe, was auch in mein Herz nie gekommen ist.
And they haue built the hie places of Baal, to burne their sonnes with fire for burnt offrings vnto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my minde)
6 Darum siehe, es wird die Zeit kommen, spricht der HERR, daß man diese Stätte nicht mehr Thopheth noch das Tal Ben-Hinnom, sondern Würgetal heißen wird.
Therefore behold, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that this place shall no more be called Topheth, nor ye valley of Ben-hinnom, but the valley of slaughter.
7 Und ich will den Gottesdienst Juda's und Jerusalems an diesem Ort zerstören und will sie durchs Schwert fallen lassen vor ihren Feinden, unter der Hand derer, die nach ihrem Leben stehen, und will ihre Leichname den Vögeln des Himmels und den Tieren auf Erden zu fressen geben
And I will bring the counsell of Iudah and Ierusalem to nought in this place, and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of them that seeke their liues: and their carkeises will I giue to be meate for ye foules of the heauen, and to the beastes of the fielde.
8 und will diese Stadt wüst machen und zum Spott, daß alle, die vorübergehen, werden sich verwundern über alle ihre Plage und ihrer spotten.
And I will make this citie desolate and an hissing, so that euery one that passeth thereby, shalbe astonished and hisse because of all ye plagues thereof.
9 Ich will sie lassen ihrer Söhne und Töchter Fleisch fressen, und einer soll des andern Fleisch fressen in der Not und Angst, damit sie ihre Feinde und die, so nach ihrem Leben stehen, bedrängen werden.
And I will feede the with the flesh of their sonnes and with the flesh of their daughters, and euery one shall eate the flesh of his friende in the siege and straitnesse, wherewith their enemies that seeke their liues, shall hold them strait.
10 Und du sollst den Krug zerbrechen vor den Männern, die mit dir gegangen sind,
Then shalt thou breake the bottell in the sight of the men that go with thee,
11 und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Eben wie man eines Töpfers Gefäß zerbricht, das nicht kann wieder ganz werden, so will ich dies Volk und diese Stadt auch zerbrechen; und sie sollen im Thopheth begraben werden, weil sonst kein Raum sein wird, zu begraben.
And shalt say vnto them, Thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Euen so will I breake this people and this citie, as one breaketh a potters vessell, that cannot be made whole againe, and they shall bury them in Topheth till there be no place to bury.
12 So will ich mit dieser Stätte, spricht der HERR, und ihren Einwohnern umgehen, daß diese Stadt werden soll gleich wie das Thopheth.
Thus will I doe vnto this place, sayth the Lord, and to the inhabitantes thereof, and I will make this citie like Topheth.
13 Dazu sollen ihre Häuser zu Jerusalem und die Häuser der Könige Juda's ebenso unrein werden wie die Stätte Thopheth, ja, alle Häuser, wo sie auf den Dächern geräuchert haben allem Heer des Himmels und andern Göttern Trankopfer geopfert haben.
For the houses of Ierusalem, and the houses of the Kings of Iudah shalbe defiled as the place of Topheth, because of al the houses vpon whose roofes they haue burnt incense vnto all the host of heauen, and haue powred out drinke offerings vnto other gods.
14 Und da Jeremia wieder vom Thopheth kam, dahin ihn der HERR gesandt hatte, zu weissagen, trat er in den Vorhof am Hause des HERRN und sprach zu allem Volk:
Then came Ieremiah from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophecie, and he stood in the court of the Lordes house, and sayde to all the people,
15 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will über diese Stadt und über alle ihre Städte all das Unglück kommen lassen, das ich wider sie geredet habe, darum daß sie halsstarrig sind und meine Worte nicht hören wollen.
Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Beholde, I will bring vpon this citie, and vpon all her townes, all the plagues that I haue pronounced against it, because they haue hardened their neckes, and would not heare my wordes.
