Jesaja 44
1 So höre nun, mein Knecht Jakob, und Israel, den ich erwählt habe!
Yet nowe heare, O Iaakob my seruant, and Israel, whom I haue chosen.
2 So spricht der HERR, der dich gemacht und bereitet hat und der dir beisteht von Mutterleibe an: Fürchte dich nicht, mein Knecht Jakob, und du, Jesurun, den ich erwählt habe!
Thus sayeth the Lord, that made thee, and formed thee from the wombe: he wil helpe thee. Feare not, O Iaakob, my seruaunt, and thou righteous, whome I haue chosen.
3 Denn ich will Wasser gießen auf das Durstige und Ströme auf das Dürre: ich will meinen Geist auf deinen Samen gießen und meinen Segen auf deine Nachkommen,
For I will powre water vpon the thirstie, and floods vpon the drie grounde: I will powre my Spirit vpon thy seede, and my blessing vpon thy buddes.
4 daß sie wachsen sollen wie Gras, wie Weiden an den Wasserbächen.
And they shall grow as among the grasse, and as the willowes by the riuers of waters.
5 Dieser wird sagen: Ich bin des HERRN! und jener wird genannt werden mit dem Namen Jakob; und dieser wird sich mit seiner Hand dem HERRN zuschreiben und wird mit dem Namen Israel genannt werden.
One shall say, I am the Lordes: another shalbe called by the name of Iaakob: and another shall subscribe with his hand vnto the Lord, and name himselfe by the name of Israel.
6 So spricht der HERR, der König Israels, und sein Erlöser, der HERR Zebaoth: Ich bin der Erste, und ich bin der Letzte, und außer mir ist kein Gott.
Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel and his redeemer, the Lord of hostes, I am the first, and I am the last, and without me is there no God.
7 Und wer ist mir gleich, der da rufe und verkündige und mir's zurichte, der ich von der Welt her die Völker setze? Lasset sie ihnen das Künftige und was kommen soll, verkündigen.
And who is like me, that shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order before me, since I appointed the ancient people? and what is at hand, and what things are to come? let them shewe vnto them.
8 Fürchtet euch nicht und erschrecket nicht. Habe ich's nicht vorlängst dich hören lassen und verkündigt? denn ihr seid meine Zeugen. Ist auch ein Gott außer mir? Es ist kein Hort, ich weiß ja keinen.
Feare ye not, neither be afraide: haue not I tolde thee of olde, and haue declared it? you are euen my witnesses, whether there be a God beside me, and that there is no God that I knowe not.
9 Die Götzenmacher sind allzumal eitel, und ihr Köstliches ist nichts nütze. Sie sind ihre Zeugen und sehen nichts; darum müssen sie zu Schanden werden.
All they that make an image, are vanitie, and their delectable things shall nothing profite: and they are their owne witnesses, that they see not nor know: therefore they shalbe confounded.
10 Wer sind sie, die einen Gott machen und einen Götzen gießen, der nichts nütze ist?
Who hath made a god, or molten an image, that is profitable for nothing?
11 Siehe, alle ihre Genossen werden zu Schanden; denn es sind Meister aus Menschen. Wenn sie gleich alle zusammentreten, müssen sie dennoch sich fürchten und zu Schanden werden.
Beholde, all that are of the fellowship thereof, shall be confounded: for the workemen themselues are men: let them all be gathered together, and stand vp, yet they shall feare, and be confounded together.
12 Es schmiedet einer das Eisen in der Zange, arbeitet in der Glut und bereitet's mit Hämmern und arbeitet daran mit ganzer Kraft seines Arms, leidet auch Hunger, bis er nimmer kann, trinkt auch nicht Wasser, bis er matt wird.
The smith taketh an instrument, and worketh in the coles, and facioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his armes: yea, he is an hungred, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
13 Der andere zimmert Holz, und mißt es mit der Schnur und zeichnet's mit Rötelstein und behaut es und zirkelt's ab und macht's ein Mannsbild, wie einen schönen Menschen, der im Hause wohne.
The carpenter stretcheth out a line: he facioneth it with a red thread, he planeth it, and he purtreyeth it with the compasse, and maketh it after the figure of a man, and according to the beautie of a man that it may remaine in an house.
14 Er geht frisch daran unter den Bäumen im Walde, daß er Zedern abhaue und nehme Buchen und Eichen; ja, eine Zeder, die gepflanzt und die vom Regen erwachsen ist
He will hewe him downe cedars, and take the pine tree and the oke, and taketh courage among the trees of the forest: he planteth a firre tree, and the raine doeth nourish it.
15 und die den Leuten Brennholz gibt, davon man nimmt, daß man sich dabei wärme, und die man anzündet und Brot dabei bäckt. Davon macht er einen Gott und betet's an; er macht einen Götzen daraus und kniet davor nieder.
And man burneth thereof: for he will take thereof and warme himselfe: he also kindleth it and baketh bread, yet he maketh a god, and worshippeth it: he maketh it an idole and boweth vnto it.
16 Die Hälfte verbrennt er im Feuer, über der Hälfte ißt er Fleisch; er brät einen Braten und sättigt sich, wärmt sich auch und spricht: Hoja! ich bin warm geworden, ich sehe meine Lust am Feuer.
He burneth the halfe thereof euen in the fire, and vpon the halfe thereof he eateth flesh: he rosteth the roste and is satisfied: also he warmeth himselfe and sayth, Aha, I am warme, I haue bene at the fire.
17 Aber das übrige macht er zum Gott, daß es ein Götze sei, davor er kniet und niederfällt und betet und spricht: Errette mich; denn du bist mein Gott!
And the residue thereof he maketh a god, euen his idole: he boweth vnto it, and worshippeth and prayeth vnto it, and sayeth, Deliuer me: for thou art my god.
18 Sie wissen nichts und verstehen nichts; denn sie sind verblendet, daß ihre Augen nicht sehen und ihre Herzen nicht merken können,
They haue not knowen, nor vnderstand: for God hath shut their eyes that they cannot see, and their heartes, that they cannot vnderstand.
19 und gehen nicht in ihr Herz; keine Vernunft noch Witz ist da, daß sie doch dächten: Ich habe auf den Kohlen Brot gebacken und Fleisch gebraten und gegessen, und sollte das übrige zum Greuel machen und sollte knieen vor einem Klotz?
And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor vnderstanding to say, I haue burnt halfe of it, euen in the fire, and haue baked bread also vpon the coles thereof: I haue rosted flesh, and eaten it, and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I bowe to the stocke of a tree?
20 Er hat Lust an Asche, sein getäuschtes Herz verführt ihn; und er wird seine Seele nicht erretten, daß er dächte: Ist das nicht Trügerei, was meine rechte Hand treibt?
He feedeth of ashes: a seduced heart hath deceiued him, that he cannot deliuer his soule, nor say, Is there not a lye in my right hand?
21 Daran gedenke Jakob und Israel; denn du bist mein Knecht. Ich habe dich bereitet, daß du mein Knecht seist; Israel, vergiß mein nicht.
Remember these (O Iaakob and Israel) for thou art my seruant: I haue formed thee: thou art my seruant: O Israel forget me not.
22 Ich vertilge deine Missetaten wie eine Wolke und deine Sünden wie den Nebel. Kehre dich zu mir; denn ich erlöse dich.
I haue put away thy transgressions like a cloude, and thy sinnes, as a mist: turne vnto me, for I haue redeemed thee.
23 Jauchzet ihr Himmel, denn der HERR hat's getan; rufe, du Erde hier unten; ihr Berge, frohlocket mit Jauchzen, der Wald und alle Bäume darin! denn der HERR hat Jakob erlöst und ist in Israel herrlich.
Reioyce, ye heauens: for the Lord hath done it: shoute, ye lower partes of the earth: brast foorth into prayses, ye mountaines, O forest and euery tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Iaakob and will be glorified in Israel.
24 So spricht der HERR, dein Erlöser, der dich von Mutterleibe hat bereitet: Ich bin der HERR, der alles tut, der den Himmel ausbreitet allein und die Erde weit macht ohne Gehilfen;
Thus sayeth the Lord thy redeemer and he that formed thee from the wombe, I am the Lord, that made all things, that spred out the heauens alone, and stretched out the earth by my selfe.
25 der die Zeichen der Wahrsager zunichte und die Weissager toll macht; der die Weisen zurückkehrt und ihre Kunst zur Torheit macht,
I destroy the tokens of ye southsayers, and make them that coniecture, fooles, and turne the wise men backwarde, and make their knowledge foolishnesse.
26 bestätigt aber das Wort seines Knechtes und vollführt den Rat seiner Boten; der zu Jerusalem spricht: Sei bewohnt! und zu den Städten Juda's: Seid gebaut! und ihre Verwüstung richte ich auf;
He confirmeth the worde of his seruant and performeth the counsell of his messengers, saying to Ierusalem, Thou shalt bee inhabited: and to the cities of Iudah, Yee shall be built vp, and I will repayre the decayed places thereof.
27 der ich spreche zu der Tiefe: Versiege! und zu den Strömen: Vertrocknet!
He saith to the deepe, Be drye and I will drye vp thy floods.
28 der ich spreche von Kores: Der ist mein Hirte und soll all meinen Willen vollenden, daß man sage zu Jerusalem: Sei gebaut! und zum Tempel: Sei gegründet!
He saith to Cyrus, Thou art my shepheard: and he shall performe all my desire: saying also to Ierusalem, Thou shalt be built: and to the Temple, Thy foundation shall be surely layed.
