Esra 2

1 Dies sind die Kinder der Landschaft, die heraufzogen aus der Gefangenschaft, die Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, hatte gen Babel geführt und die wieder gen Jerusalem und nach Juda kamen, ein jeglicher in seine Stadt,

And these [are] sons of the province who are going up—of the captives of the expulsion that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed to Babylon, and they return to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city—

2 und kamen mit Serubabel, Jesua, Nehemia, Seraja, Reelaja, Mardochai, Bilsa, Mispar, Bigevai, Rehum und Baana. Dies ist nun die Zahl der Männer des Volkes Israel:

who have come in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

3 der Kinder Parevs zweitausend hundertundzweiundsiebzig;

sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred seventy-two;

4 der Kinder Sephatja dreihundert und zweiundsiebzig;

sons of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy-two;

5 der Kinder Arah siebenhundert und fünfundsiebzig;

sons of Arah, seven hundred seventy-five;

6 der Kinder Pahath-Moab, von den Kindern Jesua, Joab, zweitausend achthundertundzwölf;

sons of Pahath-Moab, of the sons of Jeshua [and] Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve;

7 der Kinder Elam tausend zweihundertvierundfünfzig;

sons of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four;

8 der Kinder Satthu neunhundert und fünfundvierzig;

sons of Zattu, nine hundred and forty-five;

9 der Kinder Sakkai siebenhundert und sechzig;

sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;

10 der Kinder Bani sechshundert und zweiundvierzig;

sons of Bani, six hundred forty-two;

11 der Kinder Bebai sechshundert und dreiundzwanzig;

sons of Bebai, six hundred twenty-three;

12 der Kinder Asgad tausend zweihundert und zweiundzwanzig;

sons of Azgad, one thousand two hundred twenty-two;

13 der Kinder Adonikam sechshundert und sechsundsechzig;

sons of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-six;

14 der Kinder Bigevai zweitausend und sechsundfünfzig;

sons of Bigvai, two thousand fifty-six;

15 der Kinder Adin vierhundert und vierundfünfzig;

sons of Adin, four hundred fifty-four;

16 der Kinder Ater von Hiskia achtundneunzig;

sons of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety-eight;

17 der Kinder Bezai dreihundert und dreiundzwanzig;

sons of Bezai, three hundred twenty-three;

18 der Kinder Jorah hundertundzwölf;

sons of Jorah, one hundred and twelve;

19 der Kinder Hasum zweihundert und dreiundzwanzig;

sons of Hashum, two hundred twenty-three;

20 der Kinder von Gibbar fünfundneunzig;

sons of Gibbar, ninety-five;

21 der Kinder von Bethlehem hundertdreiundzwanzig;

sons of Beth-Lehem, one hundred twenty-three;

22 der Männer von Netopha sechsundfünfzig;

24 der Kinder von Asmaveth zweihundertvierzig;

25 der Kinder von Kirjath-Arim, Kaphira und Beeroth siebenhundert und dreiundvierzig;

sons of Kirjath-Arim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty-three;

26 der Kinder von Rama und Geba sechshundert und einundzwanzig;

sons of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty-one;

27 der Männer von Michmas hundertzweiundzwanzig;

men of Michmas, one hundred twenty-two;

28 der Männer von Beth-El und Ai zweihundert und dreiundzwanzig;

men of Beth-El and Ai, two hundred twenty-three;

29 der Kinder von Nebo zweiundfünfzig;

sons of Nebo, fifty-two;

30 der Kinder Magbis hundertsechsundfünfzig;

sons of Magbish, one hundred fifty-six;

31 der Kinder des andern Elam tausendzweihundert und vierundfünfzig;

sons of another Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four;

32 der Kinder Harim dreihundertundzwanzig;

sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty;

33 der Kinder von Lod, Hadid und Ono siebenhundert und fünfundzwanzig;

sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty-five;

34 der Kinder von Jericho dreihundert und fünfundvierzig;

sons of Jericho, three hundred forty-five;

35 der Kinder von Senaa dreitausend und sechshundertunddreißig.

sons of Senaah, three thousand and six hundred and thirty.

36 Der Priester: der Kinder Jedaja vom Hause Jesua neunhundert und dreiundsiebzig;

The priests: sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three;

37 der Kinder Immer tausend und zweiundfünfzig;

sons of Immer, one thousand fifty-two;

38 der Kinder Pashur tausendzweihundert und siebenundvierzig;

sons of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven;

39 der Kinder Harim tausend und siebzehn.

sons of Harim, one thousand and seventeen.

40 Der Leviten: der Kinder Jesua und Kadmiel von den Kindern Hodavja vierundsiebzig.

The Levites: sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the sons of Hodaviah, seventy-four.

41 Der Sänger: der Kinder Asaph hundertachtundzwanzig.

The singers: sons of Asaph, one hundred twenty-eight.

42 der Kinder der Torhüter: die Kinder Sallum, die Kinder Ater, die Kinder Talmon, die Kinder Akkub, die Kinder Hatita und die Kinder Sobai, allesamt hundertneununddreißig.

Sons of the gatekeepers: sons of Shallum, sons of Ater, sons of Talmon, sons of Akkub, sons of Hatita, sons of Shobai, the whole [are] one hundred thirty-nine.

43 Der Tempelknechte: die Kinder Ziha, die Kinder Hasupha, die Kinder Tabbaoth,

sons of Lebanah, sons of Hagabah, sons of Akkub,

46 die Kinder Hagab, die Kinder Samlai, die Kinder Hanan,

sons of Hagab, sons of Shalmai, sons of Hanan,

47 die Kinder Giddel, die Kinder Gahar, die Kinder Reaja,

sons of Giddel, sons of Gahar, sons of Reaiah,

48 die Kinder Rezin, die Kinder Nekoda, die Kinder Gassam,

sons of Rezin, sons of Nekoda, sons of Gazzam,

49 die Kinder Usa, die Kinder Paseah, die Kinder Beasi,

sons of Uzza, sons of Paseah, sons of Besai,

50 die Kinder Asna, die Kinder der Meuniter, die Kinder der Nephusiter,

sons of Asnah, sons of Mehunim, sons of Nephusim,

51 die Kinder Bakbuk, die Kinder Hakupha, die Kinder Harhur,

sons of Bakbuk, sons of Hakupha, sons of Harhur,

52 die Kinder Bazluth, die Kinder Mehida, die Kinder Harsa,

53 die Kinder Barkos, die Kinder Sisera, die Kinder Themah,

sons of Barkos, sons of Sisera, sons of Thamah,

54 die Kinder Neziah, die Kinder Hatipha.

55 Die Kinder der Knechte Salomos: Die Kinder Sotai, die Kinder Sophereth, die Kinder Peruda,

Sons of the servants of Solomon: sons of Sotai, sons of Sophereth, sons of Peruda,

56 die Kinder Jaala, die Kinder Darkon, die Kinder Giddel,

sons of Jaalah, sons of Darkon, sons of Giddel,

57 die Kinder Sephatja, die Kinder Hattil, die Kinder Pochereth von Zebaim, die Kinder der Ami.

sons of Shephatiah, sons of Hattil, sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, sons of Ami.

58 Aller Tempelknechte und Kinder der Knechte Salomos waren zusammen dreihundert und zweiundneunzig.

All the Nethinim, and the sons of the servants of Solomon [are] three hundred ninety-two.

59 Und diese zogen auch mit herauf von Thel-Melah, Thel-Harsa, Cherub, Addon und Immer, aber sie konnten nicht anzeigen ihr Vaterhaus noch ihr Geschlecht, ob sie aus Israel wären:

And these [are] those going up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsa, Cherub, Addan, Immer, and they have not been able to declare the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they [are] of Israel:

60 die Kinder Delaja, die Kinder Tobia, die Kinder Nekoda, sechshundert und zweiundfünfzig.

sons of Delaiah, sons of Tobiah, sons of Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two.

61 Und von den Kindern der Priester: die Kinder Habaja, die Kinder Hakkoz, die Kinder Barsillais, der aus den Töchtern Barsillais, des Gileaditers, ein Weib nahm und ward unter ihrem Namen genannt.

And of the sons of the priests: sons of Habaiah, sons of Koz, sons of Barzillai (who took a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and is called by their name);

62 Die suchten ihre Geburtsregister, und fanden keine; darum wurden sie untüchtig geachtet zum Priestertum.

these have sought their register among those reckoning themselves by genealogy, and they have not been found, and they are redeemed from the priesthood,

63 Und der Landpfleger sprach zu ihnen, sie sollten nicht essen vom Hochheiligen, bis ein Priester aufstände mit dem Licht und Recht.

and the Tirshatha says to them that they do not eat of the most holy things until the standing up of a priest with [the] Lights and with [the] Perfections.

64 Der ganzen Gemeinde wie ein Mann waren zweiundvierzigtausend und dreihundertundsechzig.

All the assembly together [is] forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,

65 ausgenommen ihre Knechte und Mägde, derer waren siebentausend dreihundert und siebenunddreißig, dazu zweihundert Sänger und Sängerinnen.

apart from their servants and their handmaids; these [are] seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and of them [are] two hundred male and female singers.

66 Und hatten siebenhundert und sechsunddreißig Rosse, zweihundert und fünfundvierzig Maultiere,

Their horses [are] seven hundred thirty-six, their mules, two hundred forty-five,

67 vierhundert und fünfunddreißig Kamele und sechstausend und siebenhundertzwanzig Esel.

their camels, four hundred thirty-five, donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

68 Und etliche Oberste der Vaterhäuser, da sie kamen zum Hause des Herrn zu Jerusalem, gaben sie freiwillig zum Hause Gottes, daß man's setzte auf seine Stätte,

And some of the heads of the fathers in their coming to the house of YHWH that [is] in Jerusalem, have offered willingly for the house of God, to establish it on its base;

69 und gaben nach ihrem Vermögen zum Schatz fürs Werk einundsechzigtausend Goldgulden und fünftausend Pfund Silber und hundert Priesterröcke.

according to their power they have given to the treasure of the work; of gold, sixty-one thousand drams, and of silver, five thousand pounds, and of priests’ coats, one hundred.

70 Also setzten sich die Priester und die Leviten und die vom Volk und die Sänger und die Torhüter und die Tempelknechte in ihre Städte und alles Israel in seine Städte.

And the priests dwell, and the Levites, and of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, in their cities; even all Israel in their cities.
