1 Im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahr Jerobeams, des Königs Israels, ward König Asarja, der Sohn Amazjas, des Königs Juda's;

In the seuen and twentieth yeere of Ieroboam King of Israel, began Azariah, sonne of Amaziah King of Iudah to reigne.

2 und er war sechzehn Jahre alt, da er König ward, und regierte zweiundfünfzig Jahre zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Jecholja von Jerusalem.

Sixteene yeere olde was he, when he was made King, and he reigned two and fiftie yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Iecholiah of Ierusalem.

3 Und er tat, was dem HERRN wohl gefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Amazja,

And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

4 nur, daß sie die Höhen nicht abtaten; denn das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen.

But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered, and burned incense in the hie places.

5 Der HERR aber plagte den König, daß er aussätzig war bis an seinen Tod, und wohnte in einem besonderen Hause. Jotham aber, des Königs Sohn, regierte das Haus und richtete das Volk im Lande.

And the Lord smote the King: and he was a leper vnto the day of his death, and dwelt in an house apart, and Iotham the kings sonne gouerned the house, and iudged the people of the land.

Concerning the rest of the actes of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

7 Und Asarja entschlief mit seinen Vätern, und man begrub ihn bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids. Und sein Sohn Jotham ward König an seiner Statt.

So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Iotham his sonne reigned in his stead.

8 Im achtunddreißigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs Juda's, ward König Sacharja, der Sohn Jerobeams, über Israel zu Samaria sechs Monate;

In the eyght and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah did Zachariah the sonne of Ieroboam reigne ouer Israel in Samaria sixe moneths,

9 und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, wie seine Väter getan hatten. Er ließ nicht ab von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.

And did euill in the sight of the Lord, as did his fathers: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

10 Und Sallum, der Sohn des Jabes, machte einen Bund wider ihn und schlug ihn vor dem Volk und tötete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.

And Shallum the sonne of Iabesh cospired against him, and smote him in the sight of the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.

11 Was aber mehr von Sacharja zu sagen ist, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.

Concerning the rest of the actes of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

12 Und das ist's, was der HERR zu Jehu geredet hatte: Dir sollen Kinder ins vierte Glied sitzen auf dem Stuhl Israels. Und ist also geschehen.

This was the word of the Lord, which he spake vnto Iehu, saying, Thy sonnes shall sit on the throne of Israel vnto the fourth generation after thee. And it came so to passe.

13 Sallum aber, der Sohn des Jabes, ward König im neununddreißigsten Jahr Usias, des Königs in Juda, und regierte einen Monat zu Samaria.

Shallum the sonne of Iabesh began to reigne in the nine and thirtieth yeere of Vzziah King of Iudah: and he reigned the space of a moneth in Samaria.

14 Denn Menahem, der Sohn Gadis, zog herauf von Thirza und kam gen Samaria und schlug Sallum, den Sohn des Jabes, zu Samaria und tötete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.

For Menahem the sonne of Gadi went vp from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the sonne of Iabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15 Was aber mehr von Sallum zu sagen ist und seinen Bund, den er anrichtete, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.

Cocerning the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the treason which he wrought, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

16 Dazumal schlug Menahem Tiphsah und alle, die darin waren, und ihr Gebiet von Thirza aus, darum daß sie ihn nicht wollten einlassen, und schlug alle ihre Schwangeren und zerriß sie.

Then Menahem destroyed Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coastes thereof from Tirzah, because they opened not to him, and he smote it, and ript vp all their women with childe.

17 Im neununddreißigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs Juda's, ward König Menahem, der Sohn Gadis, über Israel zu Samaria;

The nine and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah, beganne Menahem the sonne of Gadi to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned ten yeeres in Samaria.

18 und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel. Er ließ sein Leben lang nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.

And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and departed not all his dayes from the sinne of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

19 Und es kam Phul, der König von Assyrien, ins Land. Und Menahem gab dem Phul tausend Zentner Silber, daß er's mit ihm hielte und befestigte ihm das Königreich.

Then Pul the king of Asshur came against the land: and Menahem gaue Pul a thousand talents of siluer, that his hande might bee with him, and establish the kingdome in his hand.

20 Und Menahem setzte ein Geld in Israel auf die Reichsten, fünfzig Silberlinge auf einen jeglichen Mann, daß er's dem König von Assyrien gäbe. Also zog der König von Assyrien wieder heim und blieb nicht im Lande.

And Menahem exacted the money in Israel, that all men of substance shoulde giue the King of Asshur fiftie shekels of siluer a piece: so the king of Asshur returned and taried not there in the land.

22 Und Menahem entschlief mit seinen Vätern, und Pekahja, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.

And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his sonne did reigne in his steade.

23 Im fünfzigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs in Juda, ward König Pekahja, der Sohn Menahems, über Israel zu Samaria, zwei Jahre;

In ye fiftieth yere of Azariah king of Iudah, began Pekahiah the sonne of Menahem to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned two yere.

24 und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel; denn er ließ nicht von der Sünde Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.

And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

25 Und es machte Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, sein Ritter, einen Bund wider ihn und schlug ihn zu Samaria im Palast des Königshauses samt Argob und Arje, und mit ihm waren fünfzig Mann von den Kindern Gileads, und tötete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.

And Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, his captaine conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria in the place of the Kings palace with Argob and Arieh, and with him fiftie men of the Gileadites: so he killed him, and reigned in his steade.

26 Was aber mehr von Pekahja zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.

27 Im zweiundfünfzigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs Juda's, ward König Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, über Israel zu Samaria zwanzig Jahre;

In the two and fiftieth yere of Azariah King of Iudah began Pekah the sonne of Remaliah to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned twentie yeere.

28 und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel; denn er ließ nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.

And he did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, that made Israel to sinne.

29 Zu den Zeiten Pekahs, des Königs Israels, kam Thiglath-Pileser, der König von Assyrien, und nahm Ijon, Abel-Beth-Maacha, Janoah, Kedes, Hazor, Gilead und Galiläa, das ganze Land Naphthali, und führte sie weg nach Assyrien.

In the dayes of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, and tooke Iion, and Abel, Beth-maachah, and Ianoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilah, and all the land of Naphtali, and caryed them away to Asshur.

30 Und Hosea, der Sohn Elas, machte einen Bund wider Pekah, den Sohn Remaljas, und schlug ihn tot und ward König an seiner Statt im zwanzigsten Jahr Jothams, des Sohnes Usias.

And Hoshea the sonne of Elah wrought treason against Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, and smote him, and slewe him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth yeere of Iotham the sonne of Vzziah.

31 Was aber mehr von Pekah zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.

Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32 Im zweiten Jahr Pekahs, des Sohnes Remaljas, des Königs über Israel, ward König Jotham, der Sohn Usias, des Königs in Juda.

In the second yere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, began Iotham sonne of Vzziah King of Iudah to reigne.

33 Er war fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt, da er König ward, und regierte sechzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Jerusa, eine Tochter Zadoks.

Fiue and twentie yeere olde was he, when he began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Ierusha the daughter of Zadok.

34 Und er tat, was dem HERRN wohl gefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Usia getan hatte,

And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Vzziah had done.

35 nur, daß sie die Höhen nicht abtaten; denn das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen. Er baute das obere Tor am Hause des HERRN.

But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered and burnt incense in the hie places: he buylt the hyest gate of the house of the Lord.

36 Was aber mehr von Jotham zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Juda's.

Concerning the rest of the acts of Iotham, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Iudah?

37 Zu der Zeit hob der HERR an, zu senden gen Juda Rezin, den König von Syrien und Pekah, den Sohn Remaljas.

In those dayes the Lord began to send against Iudah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah.

38 Und Jotham entschlief mit seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids, seines Vaters. Und Ahas, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.

And Iotham slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Ahaz his sonne reigned in his steade.
