1 Koenige 2

1 Als nun die Zeit herbeikam, daß David sterben sollte, gebot er seinem Sohn Salomo und sprach:

Forsothe the daies of Dauid neiyiden, that he schulde die; and he comaundide to Salomon, his sone, and seide, Lo!

2 Ich gehe hin den Weg aller Welt; so sei getrost und sei ein Mann

Y entre in to the weie of al erthe; be thou coumfortid, and be thou a strong man.

3 und warte des Dienstes des HERRN, deines Gottes, daß du wandelst in seinen Wegen und haltest seine Sitten, Gebote und Rechte und Zeugnisse, wie geschrieben steht im Gesetz Mose's, auf daß du klug seist in allem, was du tust und wo du dich hin wendest;

And kepe thou the kepyngis and heestis of thi Lord God, that thou go in hise weies, and kepe hise cerymonyes, and hise heestis, and hise domes, and witnessyngis, as it is writun in the lawe of Moises; that thou vndurstonde alle thingis whiche thou doist, and whidur euer thou schalt turne thee.

4 auf daß der HERR sein Wort erwecke, das er über mich geredet hat und gesagt: Werden deine Kinder ihre Wege behüten, daß sie vor mir treulich und von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele wandeln, so soll dir nimmer gebrechen ein Mann auf dem Stuhl Israels.

That the Lord conferme hise wordis, whiche the Lord spak of me, and seide, If thi sones kepen my weies, and goen bifor me in treuthe, in al her herte, and in al her soule, a man schal not be takun awei of thee fro the trone of Israel.

5 Auch weißt du wohl, was mir getan hat Joab, der Sohn der Zeruja, was er tat den zwei Feldhauptmännern Israels, Abner dem Sohn Ners, und Amasa, dem Sohn Jethers, die er erwürgt hat und vergoß Kriegsblut im Frieden und tat Kriegsblut an seinen Gürtel, der um seine Lenden war, und an seine Schuhe, die an seinen Füßen waren.

Also thou knowist what thingis Joab, the sone of Saruye, dide to me; what thingis he dide to twey princis of the oost of Israel, to Abner, sone of Ner, and to Amasa, sone of Jether, whiche he killide, and schedde the blood of batel in pees; and puttide the blood of batel in his girdil, that was aboute hise leendis, and in his scho, that was in hise feet.

6 Tue nach deiner Weisheit, daß du seine grauen Haare nicht mit Frieden hinunter in die Grube bringst. (Sheol h7585)

Therfor thou schalt do by thi wisdom, and thou schalt not lede forth his hoornesse pesibli to hellis. (Sheol h7585)

7 Aber den Kindern Barsillais, des Gileaditers, sollst du Barmherzigkeit beweisen, daß sie an deinem Tisch essen. Denn also nahten sie zu mir, da ich vor Absalom, deinem Bruder, floh.

But also thou schalt yelde grace to the sones of Bersellai of Galaad, and thei schulen be eetynge in thi boord; for thei metten me, whanne Y fledde fro the face of Absolon, thi brother.

8 Und siehe, du hast bei mir Simei, den Sohn Geras, den Benjaminiter von Bahurim, der mir schändlich fluchte zu der Zeit, da ich gen Mahanaim ging. Er aber kam herab mir entgegen am Jordan. Da schwur ich ihm bei dem HERRN und sprach: Ich will dich nicht töten mit dem Schwert.

Also thou hast anentis thee Semey, sone of Gera, sone of Gemyny, of Bahurym, which Semei curside me bi the worste cursyng, whanne Y yede to `the castels; but for he cam doun to me in to metyng, whanne Y passide Jordan, and Y swoor to him bi the Lord, and seide, Y schal not slee thee bi swerd,

9 Du aber laß ihn nicht unschuldig sein; denn du bist ein weiser Mann und wirst wohl wissen, was du ihm tun sollst, daß du seine grauen Haare mit Blut hinunter in die Grube bringst. (Sheol h7585)

nyle thou suffre hym to be vnpunyschid; forsothe thou art a wise man, and thou schalt wite what thou schalt do to hym, and thou schalt lede forth hise hoor heeris with blood to hellis. (Sheol h7585)

10 Also entschlief David mit seinen Vätern und ward begraben in der Stadt Davids.

Sotheli Dauid slepte with hise fadris, and was biriede in the citee of Dauid.

11 Die Zeit aber, die David König gewesen ist über Israel, ist vierzig Jahre: sieben Jahre war er König zu Hebron und dreiunddreißig Jahre zu Jerusalem.

Forsothe the daies, in whiche Dauid regnede on Israel, ben fourti yeer; in Ebron he regned seuene yeer, in Jerusalem thre and thretti yeer.

12 Und Salomo saß auf dem Stuhl seines Vaters David, und sein Königreich ward sehr beständig.

Forsothe Salomon sat on the trone of Dauid, his fadir, and his rewme was maad stidfast greetli.

13 Aber Adonia, der Sohn der Haggith, kam hinein zu Bath-Seba, der Mutter Salomos. Und sie sprach: Kommst du auch in Frieden? Er sprach: Ja!

And Adonye, sone of Agith, entride to Bersabee, modir of Salomon; and sche seide to hym, Whether thin entryng is pesible? And he answeride, It is pesible.

14 und sprach: Ich habe mit dir zu reden. Sie sprach: Sage an!

And he addide, A word of me is to thee. `To whom sche seide, Speke thou.

15 Er sprach: Du weißt, daß das Königreich mein war und ganz Israel hatte sich auf mich gerichtet, daß ich König sein sollte; aber nun ist das Königreich gewandt und meines Bruders geworden, von dem HERRN ist's ihm geworden.

And he seide, Thou knowist that the rewme was myn, and al Israel purposide to make me in to king to hem; but the rewme is translatid, and is maad my brotheris; for of the Lord it is ordeyned to hym.

16 Nun bitte ich eine Bitte von dir; du wolltest mein Angesicht nicht beschämen. Sie sprach zu ihm: Sage an!

Now therfor Y preye of the oon axyng; schende thou not my face. And sche seide to hym, Speke thou. And he seide, Y preie,

17 Er sprach: Rede mit dem König Salomo, denn er wird dein Angesicht nicht beschämen, daß er mir gebe Abisag von Sunem zum Weibe.

that thou seie to Salomon the king; for he may not denye ony thing to thee; that he yyue to me Abisag of Sunam wijf.

18 Bath-Seba sprach: Wohl, ich will mit dem König deinethalben reden.

And Bersabee seide, Wel, Y schal speke for thee to the kyng.

19 Und Bath-Seba kam hinein zum König Salomo, mit ihm zu reden Adonias halben. Und der König stand auf und ging ihr entgegen und neigte sich vor ihr und setzte sie auf seinen Stuhl. Und es ward der Mutter des Königs ein Stuhl gesetzt, daß sie sich setzte zu seiner Rechten.

Therfor Bersabee cam to kyng Salomon, to speke to hym for Adonye; and the kyng roos ayens the comyng of hir, and worschipide hir, and `sat on his trone; and a trone was set to the modir of the kyng, and sche sat at his riyt side.

20 Und sie sprach: Ich bitte eine kleine Bitte von dir; du wollest mein Angesicht nicht beschämen. Der König sprach zu ihr: Bitte, meine Mutter; ich will dein Angesicht nicht beschämen.

And sche seide to hym, Y preie of thee o litil axyng; schende thou not my face. And the kyng seide to hir, My modir, axe thou; for it is not leueful that Y turne awei thi face.

21 Sie sprach: Laß Abisag von Sunem deinem Bruder Adonia zum Weibe geben.

And sche seide, Abisag of Sunam be youun wijf to Adonye, thi brother.

22 Da antwortete der König Salomo und sprach zu seiner Mutter: Warum bittest du um Abisag von Sunem für Adonia? Bitte ihm das Königreich auch; denn er ist mein älterer Bruder und hat den Priester Abjathar und Joab, den Sohn der Zeruja.

And kyng Salomon answeride, and seide to his modir, Whi axist thou Abisag of Sunam to Adonye? Axe thou to hym also the rewme; for he is `my gretter brothir, and he hath Abiathar, preest, and Joab, sone of Saruye.

23 und der König Salomo schwur bei dem HERRN und sprach: Gott tue mir dies und das, Adonia soll das wider sein Leben geredet haben!

Therfor kyng Salomon swoor bi the Lord, and seide, God do to me these thingis, and adde these thinges, for Adonie spak this word ayens his lijf.

24 Und nun, so wahr der HERR lebt, der mich bestätigt hat und sitzen lassen auf dem Stuhl meines Vaters David und der mir ein Haus gemacht hat, wie er geredet hat, heute soll Adonia sterben!

And now the Lord lyueth, that confermede me, and hath set me on the trone of my fadir, and that hath maad to me an hows, as he spak, for Adonye schal be slayn to dai.

25 Und der König Salomo sandte hin Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas; der schlug ihn, daß er starb.

And kyng Salomon sente bi the hond of Banaie, sone of Joiada; which Banaie killide Adonye, and he was deed.

26 Und zu dem Priester Abjathar sprach der König: Gehe hin gen Anathoth zu deinem Acker; denn du bist des Todes. Aber ich will dich heute nicht töten; denn du hast die Lade des Herrn HERRN vor meinem Vater David getragen und hast mitgelitten, wo mein Vater gelitten hat.

Also the kyng seide to Abiathar, preest, Go thou in to Anatot, to thi feeld; and sotheli thou art a man of deeth, `that is, worthi the deeth, for conspiryng ayens me, and the ordynaunce of God, and of my fadir; but to dai Y schal not sle thee, for thou barist the arke of the Lord God bifor Dauid, my fadir, and thou suffridist trauele in alle thingis, in whiche my fadir trauelide.

27 Also verstieß Salomo den Abjathar, daß er nicht durfte Priester des HERRN sein, auf daß erfüllet würde des HERRN Wort, das er über das Haus Elis geredet hatte zu Silo.

Therfor Salomon puttide out Abiathar, that he schulde not be preest of the Lord, that the word of the Lord were fillid, which he spak on the hows of Heli, in Silo.

28 Und dies Gerücht kam vor Joab; denn Joab hatte an Adonia gehangen, wiewohl nicht an Absalom. Da floh Joab in die Hütte des HERRN und faßte die Hörner des Altars.

Forsothe a messager cam to Salomon, that Joab hadde bowid aftir Adonye, and that he hadde not bowid after Salomon. Therfor Joab fledde in to the tabernacle of the Lord, and took the horn of the auter.

29 Und es ward dem König Salomo angesagt, daß Joab zur Hütte des HERRN geflohen wäre, und siehe, er steht am Altar. Da sandte Salomo hin Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas, und sprach: Gehe, schlage ihn!

And it was teld to kyng Salomon, that Joab hadde fledde in to the tabernacle of the Lord, and was bisidis the auter; and Salomon sente Banaie, sone of Joiada, and seide, Go thou, and sle hym.

30 Und da Benaja zur Hütte des HERRN kam, sprach er zu ihm: So sagt der König: Gehe heraus! Er sprach: Nein, hier will ich sterben. Und Benaja sagte solches dem König wieder und sprach: So hat Joab geredet, und so hat er mir geantwortet.

And Banaie cam to the tabernacle of the Lord, and seide to Joab, The kyng seith these thingis, Go thou out. And he seide, Y schal not go out, but Y schal die here. Banaie telde the word to the kyng, and seide, Joab spak thes thingis, and answeride these thingis to me.

31 Der König sprach zu ihm: Tue, wie er geredet hat, und schlage ihn und begrabe ihn, daß du das Blut, das Joab ohne Ursache vergossen hat, von mir tust und von meines Vaters Hause;

And the kyng seide to Banaie, Do thou as he spak, and sle thou hym, and birie him; and thou schalt remoue the innocent blood, that was sched out of Joab, fro me, and fro the hows of my fadir.

32 und der HERR bezahle ihm sein Blut auf seinen Kopf, daß er zwei Männer erschlagen hat, die gerechter und besser waren denn er, und hat sie erwürgt mit dem Schwert, daß mein Vater David nichts darum wußte: Abner, den Sohn Ners, den Feldhauptmann über Israel, und Amasa, den Sohn Jethers, den Feldhauptmann über Juda;

And the Lord yelde on his heed his blood, for he killide twei iust men, and betere than hym silf, and he killide hem bi swerd, while Dauid, my fadir, `wiste not, Abner, the sone of Ner, the prince of the chyualrie of Israel, and Amasa, sone of Jether, the prince of the oost of Juda.

33 daß ihr Blut bezahlt werde auf den Kopf Joabs und seines Samens ewiglich, aber David und sein Same, sein Haus und sein Stuhl Frieden habe ewiglich von dem HERRN.

And the blood of hem schal turne ayen in to the heed of Joab, and in to the heed of his seed with outen ende; forsothe pees be of the Lord til in to with outen ende to Dauid, and to his seed, and to the hous and trone of hym.

34 Und Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, ging hinauf und schlug ihn und tötete ihn. Und er ward begraben in seinem Hause in der Wüste.

Therfor Banaie, sone of Joiada, stiede, and asailide, and killide Joab; and Joab was biried in his hows in deseert.

35 Und der König setzte Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas, an seine Statt über das Heer, und Zadok, den Priester, setzte der König an die Statt Abjathars.

And the kyng ordeynede Banaie, sone of Joiada, on the oost for hym; and the kyng puttide Sadoch preest for Abiathar.

36 Und der König sandte hin und ließ Simei rufen und sprach zu ihm: Baue dir ein Haus zu Jerusalem und wohne daselbst und gehe von da nicht heraus, weder hierher noch daher.

Also the kyng sente, and clepide Semey, and seide to hym, Bilde to thee an hows in Jerusalem, and dwelle thou there, and thou schalt not go out fro thennus hidur and thidur;

37 Welches Tages du wirst hinausgehen und über den Bach Kidron gehen, so wisse, daß du des Todes sterben mußt; dein Blut sei auf deinem Kopf!

sotheli in what euer dai thou goist out, and passist the stronde of Cedron, wite thou thee worthi to be slayn; thi blood schal be on thin heed.

38 Simei sprach zum König: Das ist eine gute Meinung; wie mein Herr, der König, geredet hat, so soll dein Knecht tun. Also wohnte Simei zu Jerusalem lange Zeit.

And Semei seide to the kyng, The word of the kyng is good; as my lord the kyng spak, so thi seruaunt schal do. Therfor Semey dwellide in Jerusalem in many daies.

39 Es begab sich aber über drei Jahre, daß zwei Knechte dem Simei entliefen zu Achis, dem Sohn Maachas, dem König zu Gath. Und es ward Simei angesagt: Siehe, deine Knechte sind zu Gath.

Forsothe it was doon after thre yeer, that the seruauntis of Semei fledden to Achis, sone of Maacha, the kyng of Geth; and it was teld to Semey, that hise seruauntis hadden go in to Geth.

40 Da machte sich Simei auf und sattelte seinen Esel und zog hin gen Gath zu Achis, daß er seine Knechte suchte. Und da er hinkam, brachte er seine Knechte von Gath.

And Semey roos, and sadlide his asse, and yede to Achis, in to Geth, to seke hise seruauntis; and brouyte hem ayen fro Geth.

41 Und es ward Salomo angesagt, daß Simei hingezogen wäre von Jerusalem gen Gath und wiedergekommen.

Forsothe it was teld to kyng Salomon, that Semey hadde go to Geth fro Jerusalem, and hadde come ayen.

42 Da sandte der König hin und ließ Simei rufen und sprach zu ihm: Habe ich dir nicht geschworen bei dem HERRN und dir bezeugt und gesagt, welches Tages du würdest ausziehen und hierhin oder dahin gehen, daß du wissen solltest, du müßtest des Todes sterben? und du sprachst zu mir: Ich habe eine gute Meinung gehört.

And Salomon sente, and clepide hym, and seide to hym, Whether Y witnessede not to thee bi the Lord, and bifor seide to thee, In what euer dai thou schalt go out hidur and thidur, wite thou that thou schalt die; and thou answeridist to me, The word is good, which Y herde?

43 Warum hast du denn nicht dich gehalten nach dem Eid des HERRN und dem Gebot, das ich dir geboten habe?

Whi therfor keptist thou not the ooth of the Lord, and the comaundement which Y comaundide to thee?

44 Und der König sprach zu Simei: Du weißt alle die Bosheit, der dir dein Herz bewußt ist, die du meinem Vater David getan hast; der HERR hat deine Bosheit bezahlt auf deinen Kopf,

And the kyng seide to Semei, Thou knowist al the yuel, of which thin herte is gilti to thee, which yuel thou didist to my fadir; the Lord hath yolde thi malice in to thin heed.

45 und der König Salomo ist gesegnet, und der Stuhl Davids wird beständig sein vor dem HERRN ewiglich.

And kyng Salomon schal be blessid; and the trone of Dauid schal be stable bifor the Lord til in to with outen ende.

46 Und der König gebot Benaja, dem Sohn Jojadas; der ging hinaus und schlug ihn, daß er starb. Und das Königreich ward bestätigt durch Salomos Hand.

Therfor the kyng comaundide to Banaie, sone of Joiada; and he assailide, and smoot Semey, and he was deed.
