Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
5 Die Kinder Japheths sind diese: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Thubal, Mesech, Thiras.
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Meshech, and Thirass.
6 Die Kinder aber Gomers sind: Askenas, Riphath, Thogarma.
And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenas, and Diphath, and Thogarmah.
7 Die Kinder Javans sind: Elisa, Tharsisa, die Chittiter, die Dodaniter.
And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tharshishah, Kittim, and Rodanim.
8 Die Kinder Hams sind: Chus, Mizraim, Put, Kanaan.
The sons of Ham: Cush, and Misrayim, Put, and Canaan.
9 Die Kinder aber von Chus sind: Seba, Hevila, Sabtha, Ragma, Sabthecha. Die Kinder aber Ragmas sind: Saba und Dedan.
And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra'mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra'mah: Sheba, and Dedan.
10 Chus aber zeugte Nimrod; der fing an, gewaltig zu sein auf Erden.
And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.
11 Mizraim zeugte die Luditer, die Anamiter, die Lehabiter, die Naphthuhiter,
And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the 'Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,
12 die Pathrusiter, die Kasluhiter, von welchen sind ausgegangen die Philister, und die Kaphthoriter.
And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.
13 Kanaan aber zeugte Sidon, seinen ersten Sohn und Heth,
And Canaan begat Zidon, his first-born, and Heth.
14 den Jebusiter, den Amoriter, den Girgasiter,
And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,
15 den Heviter, den Arkiter, den Siniter,
And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
16 den Arvaditer, den Zemariter und den Hamathiter.
And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Chamathite.
17 Die Kinder Sems sind diese: Elam, Assur, Arphachsad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether und Mesech.
The sons of Shem: 'Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and 'Uz, and Chul, and Gether, and Meshech.
18 Arphachsad aber zeugte Salah; Salah zeugte Eber.
And Arpachshad begat Shelach, and Shelach begat 'Eber.
19 Eber aber wurden zwei Söhne geboren: der eine hieß Peleg, darum daß zu seiner Zeit das Land zerteilt ward, und sein Bruder hieß Joktan.
And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
20 Joktan aber zeugte Almodad, Saleph, Hazarmaveth, Jarah,
And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,
21 Hadoram, Usal, Dikla,
And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 Ebal, Abimael, Saba,
And 'Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 Ophir, Hevila, und Jobab. Diese alle sind Kinder Joktans.
And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
24 Sem, Arphachsad, Salah,
Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,
25 Eber, Peleg, Regu,
'Eber, Peleg, Re'u,
26 Serug, Nahor, Tharah,
Serug, Nachor, Terach,
27 Abram, das ist Abraham.
Abram, the same is Abraham.
28 Die Kinder aber Abrahams sind: Isaak und Ismael.
The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishma'el.
29 Dies ist ihr Geschlecht: der erste Sohn Ismaels, Nebajoth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
These are their generations: The first-born of Ishma'el, Nebayoth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
30 Misma, Duma, Massa, Hadad, Thema,
Mishma', and Dumah, Massa, Chadad, and Thema,
31 Jetur, Naphis, Kedma. Das sind die Kinder Ismaels.
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishma'el.
32 Die Kinder aber Keturas, des Kebsweibs Abraham: die gebar Simran, Joksan, Medan, Midian, Jesbak, Suah. Aber die Kinder Joksans sind: Saba und Dedan.
And the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Yishbak, and Shuach. And the sons Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.
33 Und die Kinder Midians sind: Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, Eldaa. Diese alle sind Kinder der Ketura.
And the sons of Midian: 'Ephah, and 'Epher, and Chanoch, and Abida', and Elda'ah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
34 Abraham zeugte Isaak. Die Kinder aber Isaaks sind: Esau und Israel.
And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
35 Die Kinder Esaus sind: Eliphas, Reguel, Jeus, Jaelam, Korah.
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Re'uel, and Ye'ush, and Ya'lam, and Korach.
36 Die Kinder Eliphas sind: Theman, Omar, Zephi, Gaetham, Kenas, Thimna, Amalek.
The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga'tam, Kenas, and Thimna', and 'Amalek.
37 Die Kinder Reguels sind: Nahath, Serah, Samma und Missa.
The sons of Re'uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 Die Kinder Seirs sind: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dison, Ezer, Disan.
And the sons of Se'ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib'on, and 'Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Die Kinder Lotans sind: Hori, Homam; und Thimna war eine Schwester Lotans.
And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna'.
40 Die Kinder Sobals sind: Aljan, Manahath, Ebal, Sephi, Onam. Die Kinder Zibeons sind: Aja und Ana.
The sons of Shobal: 'Alyan, and Manachath, and 'Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib'on: 'Ayah, and 'Anah.
41 Die Kinder Anas: Dison. Die Kinder Disons sind: Hamran, Esban, Jethran, Cheran.
The sons of 'Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
42 Die Kinder Ezers sind: Bilhan, Saawan, Jaakan. Die Kinder Disans sind: Uz und Aran.
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za'avan, and Ja'akan. The sons of Dishan: 'Uz, and Aran.
43 Die sind die Könige die regiert haben im Lande Edom, ehe denn ein König regierte unter den Kindern Israel; Bela, der Sohn Beors; und seine Stadt hieß Dinhaba.
And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela' the son of Be'or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 Und da Bela starb, ward König an seiner Statt Jobab, der Sohn Serahs von Bozra.
And Bela' died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
45 Und da Jobab starb, ward König an seiner Statt Husam aus der Themaniter Lande.
And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.
46 Da Husam starb, ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, der Sohn Bedads der die Midianiter schlug in der Moabiter Feld; und seine Stadt hieß Awith.
And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.
47 Da Hadad starb, ward König an seiner Statt Samla von Masrek.
And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.
48 Da Samla starb, ward König an seiner Statt Saul von Rehoboth am Strom.
And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.
49 Da Saul starb, ward König an seiner Statt Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors.
And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba'al-chanan the son of 'Achbor.
50 Da Baal-Hanan starb, ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, und seine Stadt hieß Pagi; und sein Weib hieß Mehetabeel, eine Tochter Matreds, die Mesahabs Tochter war.
And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
51 Da aber Hadad starb, wurden Fürsten zu Edom: Fürst Thimna, Fürst Alwa, Fürst Jetheth,
Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,
52 Fürst Oholibama, Fürst Ela, Fürst Pinon,
Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
53 Fürst Kenas, Fürst Theman, Fürst Mizbar,
Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,
54 Fürst Magdiel, Fürst Iram. Das sind die Fürsten zu Edom.
