Sacharja 7
1 Und es geschah im vierten Jahr des Königs Darius, daß des HERRN Wort geschah zu Sacharja, am vierten Tage des neunten Monden, welcher heißt Chisleu,
And it came to pass, in the fourth year of King Darius, that the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah, on the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
2 da Sarezer und Regem-Melech samt ihren Leuten sandten in das Haus Gottes, zu bitten vor dem HERRN,
when they had sent to the house of God Sherezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to pray before Jehovah,
3 und ließen sagen den Priestern, die da waren um das Haus des HERRN Zebaoth, und zu den Propheten: Muß ich auch noch weinen im fünften Monden und mich enthalten, wie ich solches getan habe nun etliche Jahre?
and to speak to the priests that were in the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, “Shall I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?”
4 Und des HERRN Zebaoth Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:
Then came the word of Jehovah of hosts to me, saying,
5 Sage allem Volk im Lande und den Priestern und sprich: Da ihr fastetet und Leid truget im fünften und siebenten Monden diese siebenzig Jahre lang, habt ihr mir so gefastet?
Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth month and in the seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast for me, even for me?
6 Oder da ihr aßet und tranket, habt ihr nicht für euch selbst gegessen und getrunken?
And when ye eat and drink, is it not ye that eat, and ye that drink?
7 Ist's nicht das, welches der HERR predigen ließ durch die vorigen Propheten, da Jerusalem bewohnet war und hatte die Fülle samt ihren Städten umher, und Leute wohneten beide gegen Mittag und in Gründen?
Are not these the words which Jehovah proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and her cities round about her, and when the South and the Plain were inhabited?
8 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu Sacharja und sprach:
And the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah, saying,
9 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Richtet recht, und ein jeglicher beweise an seinem Bruder Güte und Barmherzigkeit;
Thus spake Jehovah of hosts, saying, Judge true judgment, and show mercy and compassion every man to his brother.
10 und tut nicht Unrecht den Witwen, Waisen, Fremdlingen und Armen; und denke keiner wider seinen Bruder etwas Arges in seinem Herzen.
And the widow, and the orphan, and the stranger, and the poor, oppress not, and meditate not evil against one another in your heart.
11 Aber sie wollten nicht aufmerken und kehreten mir den Rücken zu und verstockten ihre Ohren, daß sie nicht höreten,
But they refused to hearken, and showed a refractory shoulder, and made their ears dull, that they might not hear;
12 und stelleten ihre Herzen wie einen Demant, daß sie nicht höreten das Gesetz und Worte, welche der HERR Zebaoth sandte in seinem Geiste durch die vorigen Propheten, daher so großer Zorn vom HERRN Zebaoth kommen ist.
yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, that they might not hear the law, and the words which Jehovah of hosts sent through his spirit by the former prophets. Therefore came great anger from Jehovah of hosts.
13 Und ist also ergangen: Gleichwie geprediget ward, und sie nicht höreten, so wollt ich auch nicht hören, da sie riefen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
And as he called and they would not hear, so they called and I would not hear, saith Jehovah of hosts.
14 Also hab ich sie zerstreuet unter alle Heiden, die sie nicht kennen, und ist das Land hinter ihnen wüst geblieben, daß niemand drinnen wandelt noch wohnet, und ist das edle Land zur Wüstung gemacht.
And I scattered them as with a whirlwind among all the nations, which they knew not. And the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through, nor returned; and thus the beautiful land was made a desolation.
