Offenbarung 22
1 Und er zeigte mir einen lauteren Strom des lebendigen Wassers, klar wie ein Kristall; der ging von dem Stuhl Gottes und des Lammes.
And the angel showed me a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, issuing from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
2 Mitten auf ihrer Gasse und auf beiden Seiten des Stromes stund Holz des Lebens, das trug zwölferlei Früchte und brachte seine Früchte alle Monden; und die Blätter des Holzes dieneten zu der Gesundheit der Heiden.
in the middle of the street of the city. On each side of the river was a Tree of life which bore twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 Und wird kein Verbannetes mehr sein; und der Stuhl Gottes und des Lammes wird darinnen sein; und seine Knechte werden ihm dienen
Every thing that is accursed will cease to be. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be within it, and his servants will worship him;
4 und sehen sein Angesicht; und sein Name wird an ihren Stirnen sein.
they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
5 Und wird keine Nacht da sein, und nicht bedürfen einer Leuchte oder des Lichts der Sonne; denn Gott der HERR wird sie erleuchten, und sie werden regieren von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit. (aiōn g165)
Night will cease to be. They have no need of the light of a lamp, nor have they the light of the sun; for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign for ever and ever. (aiōn g165)
6 Und er sprach zu mir: Diese Worte sind gewiß und wahrhaftig. Und Gott, der HERR der heiligen Propheten, hat seinen Engel gesandt, zu zeigen seinen Knechten, was bald geschehen muß.
Then the angel said to me – ‘These words may be trusted and are true. The Lord, the God that inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants what must quickly take place;
7 Siehe, ich komme bald! Selig ist, der da hält die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch.
and they said “I will come quickly.” Blessed will he be who lays to heart the words of the prophecy contained in this book.’
8 Und ich bin Johannes, der solches gesehen und gehöret hat. Und da ich es gehöret und gesehen, fiel ich nieder, anzubeten zu den Füßen des Engels, der mir solches zeigete.
It was I, John, who heard and saw these things; and, when I heard and saw them, I prostrated myself in worship at the feet of the angel that showed them to me.
9 Und er spricht zu mir: Siehe zu, tu es nicht; denn ich bin dein Mitknecht und deiner Brüder, der Propheten, und derer, die da halten die Worte dieses Buchs; bete Gott an!
But he said to me – ‘Forbear; I am your fellow servant, and the fellow servant of your fellow prophets, and of all who lay to heart the words in this book. Worship God.’
10 Und er spricht zu mir: versiegle nicht die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch; denn die Zeit ist nahe.
Then the angel said to me – ‘Do not keep secret the words of the prophecy contained in this book; for the time is near.
11 Wer böse ist, der sei immerhin böse; und wer unrein ist, der sei immerhin unrein. Aber wer fromm ist, der sei immerhin fromm; und wer heilig ist, der sei immerhin heilig.
Let the wrongdoer continue to do wrong; the filthy-minded continue to be filthy; the righteous continue to act righteously; and the holy-minded continue to be holy.’
12 Und siehe, ich komme bald und mein Lohn mit mir, zu geben einem jeglichen, wie seine Werke sein werden.
(“I will come quickly. I bring my rewards with me, to give to each what their actions deserve.
13 Ich bin das A und das O, der Anfang und das Ende, der Erste und der Letzte.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the End.”)
14 Selig sind, die seine Gebote halten, auf daß ihre Macht sei an dem Holz des Lebens, und zu den Toren eingehen in die Stadt.
Blessed will they be who wash their robes! They will have the right to approach the Tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates.
15 Denn draußen sind die Hunde und die Zauberer und die Hurer und die Totschläger und die Abgöttischen und alle, die liebhaben und tun die Lüge.
Outside will be the filthy, the sorcerers, the impure, the murderers, the idolaters, and all who love the false and live it.
16 Ich, Jesus, habe gesandt meinen Engel, solches euch zu zeugen an die Gemeinden. Ich bin die Wurzel des Geschlechts Davids, ein heller Morgenstern.
“I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear testimony to you about these things before the churches. I am the Scion and the Offspring of David, the bright star of the Morning.”
17 Und der Geist und die Braut sprechen: Komm! Und wer es höret, der spreche: Komm! Und wen dürstet, der komme; und wer da will, der nehme das Wasser des Lebens umsonst.
“Come,” say the Spirit and the Bride; and all who hear, say “Come.” All who thirst, come; anyone who wants, take the water of life freely.
18 Ich bezeuge aber allen, die da hören die Worte der Weissagung in diesem Buch: So jemand dazusetzt, so wird Gott zusetzen auf ihn die Plagen, die in diesem Buch geschrieben stehen.
I declare to all who hear the words of the prophecy contained in this book – “If anyone adds to it, God will add to his troubles the curses described in this book;
19 Und so jemand davontut von den Worten des Buchs dieser Weissagung, so wird Gott abtun sein Teil vom Buch des Lebens und von der heiligen Stadt und von dem, was in diesem Buch geschrieben stehet.
and if anyone takes away any of the words in the book containing this prophecy, God will take away his share in the Tree of life, and in the Holy City – as described in this book.”
20 Es spricht, der solches zeuget: Ja, ich komme bald. Amen. Ja komm, HERR Jesu!
He whose testimony this is says – “Assuredly I will come quickly.” “Amen, come, Lord Jesus.”
21 Die Gnade unsers HERRN Jesu Christi sei mit euch allen! Amen. Ende des Neuen Testaments
May the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ, be with his people.
