Psalm 90
1 Ein Gebet Moses, des Mannes Gottes.
The preier of Moises, the man of God. Lord, thou art maad help to vs; fro generacioun in to generacioun.
2 HERR Gott, du bist unsere Zuflucht für und für. Ehe denn die Berge worden und die Erde und die Welt geschaffen worden, bist du, Gott, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit,
Bifore that hillis weren maad, ether the erthe and the world was formed; fro the world and in to the world thou art God.
3 der du die Menschen lässest sterben und sprichst: Kommt wieder, Menschenkinder!
Turne thou not awei a man in to lownesse; and thou seidist, Ye sones of men, be conuertid.
4 Denn tausend Jahre sind vor dir wie der Tag, der gestern vergangen ist, und wie eine Nachtwache.
For a thousynde yeer ben bifore thin iyen; as yistirdai, which is passid, and as keping in the niyt.
5 Du lässest sie dahinfahren wie einen Strom, und sind wie ein Schlaf, gleichwie ein Gras, das doch bald welk wird,
The yeeris of hem schulen be; that ben had for nouyt.
6 das da frühe blühet und bald welk wird und des Abends abgehauen wird und verdorret.
Eerli passe he, as an eerbe, eerli florische he, and passe; in the euentid falle he doun, be he hard, and wexe drie.
7 Das macht dein Zorn, daß wir so vergehen, und dein Grimm, daß wir so plötzlich dahin müssen.
For we han failid in thin ire; and we ben disturblid in thi strong veniaunce.
8 Denn unsere Missetat stellest du vor dich, unsere unerkannte Sünde ins Licht vor deinem Angesichte.
Thou hast set oure wickidnessis in thi siyt; oure world in the liytning of thi cheer.
9 Darum fahren alle unsere Tage dahin durch deinen Zorn; wir bringen unsere Jahre zu wie ein Geschwätz.
For alle oure daies han failid; and we han failid in thin ire. Oure yeris schulen bithenke, as an yreyn;
10 Unser Leben währet siebenzig Jahre, und wenn's hoch kommt, so sind's achtzig Jahre; und wenn's köstlich gewesen ist, so ist's Mühe und Arbeit gewesen; denn es fähret schnell dahin, als flögen wir davon.
the daies of oure yeeris ben in tho seuenti yeeris. Forsothe, if fourescoor yeer ben in myyti men; and the more tyme of hem is trauel and sorewe. For myldenesse cam aboue; and we schulen be chastisid.
11 Wer glaubt es aber, daß du so sehr zürnest? und wer fürchtet sich vor solchem deinem Grimm?
Who knew the power of thin ire; and durste noumbre thin ire for thi drede?
12 Lehre uns bedenken, daß wir sterben müssen, auf daß wir klug werden.
Make thi riythond so knowun; and make men lerned in herte bi wisdom.
13 HERR, kehre dich doch wieder zu uns und sei deinen Knechten gnädig!
Lord, be thou conuertid sumdeel; and be thou able to be preied on thi seruauntis.
14 Fülle uns frühe mit deiner Gnade, so wollen wir rühmen und fröhlich sein unser Leben lang.
We weren fillid eerli with thi merci; we maden ful out ioye, and we delitiden in alle oure daies.
15 Erfreue uns nun wieder, nachdem du uns so lange plagest, nachdem wir so lange Unglück leiden.
We weren glad for the daies in whiche thou madist vs meke; for the yeeris in whiche we siyen yuels.
16 Zeige deinen Knechten deine Werke und deine Ehre ihren Kindern!
Lord, biholde thou into thi seruauntis, and in to thi werkis; and dresse thou the sones of hem.
17 Und der HERR, unser Gott, sei uns freundlich und fördere das Werk unserer Hände bei uns; ja das Werk unserer Hände wolle er fördern!
And the schynyng of oure Lord God be on vs; and dresse thou the werkis of oure hondis on vs, and dresse thou the werk of oure hondis.
