Psalm 75
1 Ein Psalm und Lied Assaphs, daß er nicht umkäme, vorzusingen. Wir danken dir, Gott, wir danken dir und verkündigen deine Wunder, daß dein Name so nahe ist.
Unto the end, corrupt not, a psalm of a canticle for Asaph. We will praise thee, O God: we will praise, and we will call upon thy name. We will relate thy wondrous works:
2 Denn zu seiner Zeit so werde ich recht richten.
When I shall take a time, I will judge justices.
3 Das Land zittert und alle, die drinnen wohnen; aber ich halte seine Säulen fest. (Sela)
The earth is melted, and all that dwell therein: I have established the pillars thereof.
4 Ich sprach zu den Ruhmredigen: Rühmet nicht so! und zu den Gottlosen: Pochet nicht auf Gewalt!
I said to the wicked: Do not act wickedly: and to the sinners: Lift not up the horn.
5 Pochet nicht so hoch auf eure Gewalt, redet nicht halsstarrig,
Lift not up your horn on high: speak not iniquity against God.
6 es habe keine Not, weder von Aufgang noch von Niedergang, noch von dem Gebirge in der Wüste.
For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert hills:
7 Denn Gott ist Richter, der diesen niedriget und jenen erhöhet.
For God is the judge. One he putteth down, and another he lifteth up:
8 Denn der HERR hat einen Becher in der Hand und mit starkem Wein voll eingeschenkt und schenkt aus demselben; aber die Gottlosen müssen alle trinken und die Hefen aussaufen.
For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup of strong wine full of mixture. And he hath poured it out from this to that: but the dregs thereof are not emptied: all the sinners of the earth shall drink.
9 Ich aber will verkündigen ewiglich und lobsingen dem Gott Jakobs.
But I will declare for ever: I will sing to the God of Jacob.
And I will break all the horns of sinners: but the horns of the just shall be exalted.
