Psalm 68
1 Ein Psalmlied Davids, vorzusingen. Es stehe Gott auf, daß seine Feinde zerstreuet werden, und die ihn hassen, vor ihm fliehen.
For the Chief Musician; A Psalm of David, a Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; Let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 Vertreibe sie, wie der Rauch vertrieben wird; wie das Wachs zerschmilzt vom Feuer, so müssen umkommen die Gottlosen vor Gott.
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 Die Gerechten aber müssen sich freuen und fröhlich sein vor Gott und von Herzen sich freuen.
But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God: Yea, let them rejoice with gladness.
4 Singet Gott, lobsinget seinem Namen! Machet Bahn dem, der da sanft herfährt! Er heißt HERR; und freuet euch vor ihm,
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: Cast up a highway for him that rideth through the deserts; His name is Jehovah; and exult ye before him.
5 der ein Vater ist der Waisen und ein Richter der Witwen. Er ist Gott in seiner heiligen Wohnung,
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.
6 ein Gott, der den Einsamen das Haus voll Kinder gibt, der die Gefangenen ausführet zu rechter Zeit und läßt die Abtrünnigen bleiben in der Dürre.
God setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
7 Gott, da du vor deinem Volk herzogest, da du einhergingest in der Wüste, (Sela)
O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, When thou didst march through the wilderness; (Selah)
8 da bebete die Erde, und die Himmel troffen vor diesem Gott in Sinai, vor dem Gott, der Israels Gott ist.
The earth trembled, The heavens also dropped [rain] at the presence of God: Yon Sinai [trembled] at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Nun aber gibst du, Gott, einen gnädigen Regen, und dein Erbe, das dürre ist, erquickest du,
Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
10 daß deine Tiere drinnen wohnen können. Gott, du labest die Elenden mit deinen Gütern.
Thy congregation dwelt therein: Thou, O God, didst prepare of thy goodness for the poor.
11 Der HERR gibt das Wort mit großen Scharen Evangelisten.
The Lord giveth the word: The women that publish the tidings are a great host.
12 Die Könige der Heerscharen sind untereinander Freunde, und die Hausehre teilet den Raub aus.
Kings of armies flee, they flee; And she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.
13 Wenn ihr zu Felde lieget, so glänzet es als der Tauben Flügel, die wie Silber und Gold schimmern.
When ye lie among the sheepfolds, [It is as] the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her pinions with yellow gold.
14 Wenn der Allmächtige hin und wieder unter ihnen Könige setzet, so wird es helle, wo es dunkel ist.
When the Almighty scattered kings therein, [It was as when] it snoweth in Zalmon.
15 Der Berg Gottes ist ein fruchtbarer Berg, ein groß und fruchtbar Gebirge.
A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A high mountain is the mountain of Bashan.
16 Was hüpfet ihr großen Gebirge? Gott hat Lust, auf diesem Berge zu wohnen, und der HERR bleibt auch immer daselbst.
Why look ye askance, ye high mountains, At the mountain which God hath desired for his abode? Yea, Jehovah will dwell [in it] for ever.
17 Der Wagen Gottes ist viel tausendmal tausend; der HERR ist unter ihnen im heiligen Sinai.
The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands: The Lord is among them, [as in] Sinai, in the sanctuary.
18 Du bist in die Höhe gefahren und hast das Gefängnis gefangen; du hast Gaben empfangen für die Menschen, auch die Abtrünnigen, daß Gott der HERR dennoch daselbst bleiben wird.
Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led away captives; Thou hast received gifts among men, Yea, [among] the rebellious also, that Jehovah God might dwell [with them].
19 Gelobet sei der HERR täglich! Gott legt uns eine Last auf, aber er hilft uns auch. (Sela)
Blessed be the Lord, who daily beareth our burden, Even the God who is our salvation. (Selah)
20 Wir haben einen Gott, der da hilft, und den HERRN HERRN, der vom Tode errettet.
God is unto us a God of deliverances; And unto Jehovah the Lord belongeth escape from death.
21 Aber Gott wird den Kopf seiner Feinde zerschmeißen samt ihrem Haarschädel, die da fortfahren in ihrer Sünde.
But God will smite through the head of his enemies, The hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his guiltiness.
22 Doch spricht der HERR: Ich will unter den Fetten etliche holen; aus der Tiefe des Meers will ich etliche holen.
The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring [them] again from the depths of the sea;
23 Darum wird dein Fuß in der Feinde Blut gefärbet werden, und deine Hunde werden es lecken.
That thou mayest crush [them], [dipping] thy foot in blood, That the tongue of thy dogs may have its portion from [thine] enemies.
24 Man siehet, Gott, wie du einherzeuchst, wie du, mein Gott und König, einherzeuchst im Heiligtum.
They have seen thy goings, O God, Even the goings of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.
25 Die Sänger gehen vorher, danach die Spielleute unter den Mägden, die da pauken.
The singers went before, the minstrels followed after, In the midst of the damsels playing with timbrels.
26 Lobet Gott den HERRN in den Versammlungen für den Brunn Israels.
Bless ye God in the congregations, Even the Lord, [ye that are] of the fountain of Israel.
27 Da herrschet unter ihnen der kleine Benjamin, die Fürsten Judas mit ihren Haufen, die Fürsten Sebulons, die Fürsten Naphthalis.
There is little Benjamin their ruler, The princes of Judah [and] their council, The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
28 Dein Gott hat dein Reich aufgerichtet. Dasselbe wollest du, Gott, uns stärken; denn es ist dein Werk.
Thy God hath commanded thy strength: Strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
29 Um deines Tempels willen zu Jerusalem werden dir die Könige Geschenke zuführen.
Because of thy temple at Jerusalem Kings shall bring presents unto thee.
30 Schilt das Tier im Rohr, die Rotte der Ochsen unter ihren Kälbern, die da zertreten um Geldes willen. Er zerstreuet die Völker, die da gerne kriegen.
Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, The multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples, Trampling under foot the pieces of silver: He hath scattered the peoples that delight in war.
31 Die Fürsten aus Ägypten werden kommen, Mohrenland wird seine Hände ausstrecken zu Gott.
Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall haste to stretch out her hands unto God.
32 Ihr Königreiche auf Erden, singet Gott, lobsinget dem HERRN, (Sela)
Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; Oh sing praises unto the Lord; (Selah)
33 dem, der da fährt im Himmel allenthalben von Anbeginn. Siehe, er wird seinem Donner Kraft geben.
To him that rideth upon the heaven of heavens, which are of old; Lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.
34 Gebt Gott die Macht! Seine HERRLIchkeit ist in Israel und seine Macht in den Wolken.
Ascribe ye strength unto God: His excellency is over Israel, And his strength is in the skies.
O God, [thou art] terrible out of thy holy places: The God of Israel, he giveth strength and power unto [his] people. Blessed be God.
