Psalm 66
1 Ein Psalmlied, vorzusingen. Jauchzet Gott, alle Lande!
For the Leader. A Song, a Psalm. Shout unto God, all the earth;
2 Lobsinget zu Ehren seinem Namen; rühmet ihn herrlich!
Sing praises unto the glory of His name; make His praise glorious.
3 Sprechet zu Gott: Wie wunderlich sind deine Werke! Es wird deinen Feinden fehlen vor deiner großen Macht.
Say unto God: 'How tremendous is Thy work! Through the greatness of Thy power shall Thine enemies dwindle away before Thee.
4 Alles Land bete dich an und lobsinge dir, lobsinge deinem Namen. (Sela)
All the earth shall worship Thee, and shall sing praises unto Thee; they shall sing praises to Thy name.' (Selah)
5 Kommt her und sehet an die Werke Gottes, der so wunderlich ist mit seinem Tun unter den Menschenkindern.
Come, and see the works of God; He is terrible in His doing toward the children of men.
6 Er verwandelt das Meer ins Trockne, daß man zu Fuß über das Wasser gehet; des freuen wir uns in ihm.
He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there let us rejoice in Him!
7 Er herrschet mit seiner Gewalt ewiglich; seine Augen schauen auf die Völker. Die Abtrünnigen werden sich nicht erhöhen können. (Sela)
Who ruleth by His might for ever; His eyes keep watch upon the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves. (Selah)
8 Lobet, ihr Völker, unsern Gott; lasset seinen Ruhm weit erschallen,
Bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of His praise to be heard;
9 der unsere Seelen im Leben behält und läßt unsere Füße nicht gleiten.
Who hath set our soul in life, and suffered not our foot to be moved,
10 Denn, Gott, du hast uns versucht und geläutert, wie das Silber geläutert wird.
For Thou, O God, hast tried us; Thou hast refined us, as silver is refined.
11 Du hast uns lassen in den Turm werfen; du hast auf unsere Lenden eine Last gelegt;
Thou didst bring us into the hold; Thou didst lay constraint upon our loins.
12 du hast Menschen lassen über unser Haupt fahren; wir sind in Feuer und Wasser kommen; aber du hast uns ausgeführt und erquicket.
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; but Thou didst bring us out unto abundance.
13 Darum will ich mit Brandopfern gehen in dein Haus und dir meine Gelübde bezahlen,
I will come into Thy house with burnt-offerings, I will perform unto Thee my vows,
14 wie ich meine Lippen habe aufgetan und mein Mund geredet hat in meiner Not.
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in distress.
15 Ich will dir feiste Brandopfer tun von gebrannten Widdern; ich will opfern Rinder mit Böcken. (Sela)
I will offer unto Thee burnt-offerings of fatlings, with the sweet smoke of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. (Selah)
16 Kommt her, höret zu, alle, die ihr Gott fürchtet; ich will erzählen, was er an meiner Seele getan hat.
Come, and hearken, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul.
17 Zu ihm rief ich mit meinem Munde und preisete ihn mit meiner Zunge.
I cried unto Him with my mouth, and He was extolled with my tongue.
18 Wo ich Unrechts vorhätte in meinem Herzen, so würde der HERR nicht hören.
If I had regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not hear;
19 Darum erhöret mich Gott und merket auf mein Flehen.
But verily God hath heard; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Gelobt sei Gott, der mein Gebet nicht verwirft noch seine Güte von mir wendet.
Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.
