Psalm 130

1 Ein Lied im höhern Chor. Aus der Tiefe rufe ich, HERR, zu dir.

A song of ascents. Out of the depths I cry to You, O LORD!

2 HERR, höre meine Stimme; laß deine Ohren merken auf die Stimme meines Flehens!

O Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my plea for mercy.

3 So du willst, HERR, Sünde zurechnen, HERR, wer wird bestehen?

If You, O LORD, kept track of iniquities, then who, O Lord, could stand?

4 Denn bei dir ist die Vergebung, daß man dich fürchte.

But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be feared.

5 Ich harre des HERRN; meine Seele harret, und ich hoffe auf sein Wort.

I wait for the LORD; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope.

6 Meine Seele wartet auf den HERRN von einer Morgenwache bis zur andern.

My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning— more than watchmen wait for the morning.

7 Israel hoffe auf den HERRN; denn bei dem HERRN ist die Gnade und viel Erlösung bei ihm;

O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance.

8 und er wird Israel erlösen aus allen seinen Sünden.

And He will redeem Israel from all iniquity.
