Psalm 119
1 Wohl denen, die ohne Wandel leben, die im Gesetz des HERRN wandeln!
[ALEPH.] How happy the men of blameless life, who walk in the law of Yahweh.
2 Wohl denen, die seine Zeugnisse halten, die ihn von ganzem Herzen suchen!
How happy they who observe his testimonies, with a whole heart, they seek him.
3 Denn welche auf seinen Wegen wandeln, die tun kein Übels.
Yea, they have not wrought perversity, In his ways, have they walked.
4 Du hast geboten, fleißig zu halten deine Befehle.
Thou, hast commanded thy precepts, that they should be diligently kept.
5 O daß mein Leben deine Rechte mit ganzem Ernst hielte!
Oh would that my ways might be settled! that I might keep thy statutes.
6 Wenn ich schaue allein auf deine Gebote, so werde ich nicht zuschanden.
Then, shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7 Ich danke dir von rechtem Herzen, daß du mich lehrest die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit.
I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I have learned thy righteous regulations.
8 Deine Rechte will ich halten; verlaß mich nimmermehr!
Thy statutes, will I keep, Do not thou forsake me utterly.
9 Wie wird ein Jüngling seinen Weg unsträflich gehen? Wenn er sich hält nach deinen Worten.
[BETH.] Wherewithal can a young man keep pure his way? By taking heed, according to thy word.
10 Ich suche dich von ganzem Herzen; laß mich nicht fehlen deiner Gebote!
With all my heart, have I sought thee, Suffer me not to be led astray from thy commandments.
11 Ich behalte dein Wort in meinem Herzen, auf daß ich nicht wider dich sündige.
In my heart, have I treasured what thou hast said, to the end I may not sin against thee.
12 Gelobet seiest du, HERR! Lehre mich deine Rechte!
Blessed art thou, O Yahweh—Teach me thy statutes.
13 Ich will mit meinen Lippen erzählen alle Rechte deines Mundes.
With my lips, have I recounted All the regulations of thy mouth.
14 Ich freue mich des Weges deiner Zeugnisse als über allerlei Reichtum.
In the way of thy testimonies, have I rejoiced, Like as over all riches.
15 Ich rede, was du befohlen hast, und schaue auf deine Wege.
In thy precepts, will I meditate, that I may discern thy paths.
16 Ich habe Lust zu deinen Rechten und vergesse deine Worte nicht.
In thy statutes, will I find my dear delight, I will not forget thy word.
17 Tu wohl deinem Knechte, daß ich lebe und dein Wort halte.
[GIMEL.] Bestow thy bounties upon thy servant—let me live, That I may observe thy word.
18 Öffne mir die Augen, daß ich sehe die Wunder an deinem Gesetze.
Unveil thou mine eyes, that I may discern Wondrous things out of thy law.
19 Ich bin ein Gast auf Erden; verbirg deine Gebote nicht vor mir!
A sojourner, am, I, in the earth, Do not hide from me, thy commandments.
20 Meine Seele ist zermalmet vor Verlangen nach deinen Rechten allezeit.
My soul is crushed with longing for thy just decisions at all times.
21 Du schiltst die Stolzen; verflucht sind, die deiner Gebote fehlen.
Thou hast rebuked the proud as accursed, who stray from thy commandments.
22 Wende von mir Schmach und Verachtung; denn ich halte deine Zeugnisse.
Roll from off me, reproach and contempt, For, thy testimonies, have I observed.
23 Es sitzen auch die Fürsten und reden wider mich; aber dein Knecht redet von deinen Rechten.
Even rulers have taken their seat, against me, have talked, Thy servant, will still meditate in thy statutes.
24 Ich habe Lust zu deinen Zeugnissen; die sind meine Ratsleute.
Yea, thy testimonies, are my dear delight, My counsellors.
25 Meine Seele liegt im Staube; erquicke mich nach deinem Wort!
[DALETH.] My soul, cleaveth to the dust, Give me life, according to thy word.
26 Ich erzähle meine Wege, und du erhörest mich; lehre mich deine Rechte!
My ways, I recounted, and thou didst answer me, Teach me thy statutes.
27 Unterweise mich den Weg deiner Befehle, so will ich reden von deinen Wundern.
The way of thy precepts, cause thou me to understand, and I will indeed meditate in thy wonders.
28 Ich gräme mich, daß mir das Herz verschmachtet; stärke mich nach deinem Wort!
My soul weepeth itself away, for grief, Confirm thou me, according to thy word.
29 Wende von mir den falschen Weg und gönne mir dein Gesetz.
The way of falsehood, take thou from me, and, with thy law, O favour me.
30 Ich habe den Weg der Wahrheit erwählet; deine Rechte hab ich vor mich gestellet.
The way of faithfulness, have I chosen, Thy regulations, have I deemed right.
31 ich hange an deinen Zeugnissen; HERR, laß mich nicht zuschanden werden!
I have kept close to thy testimonies, O Yahweh! do not put me to shame.
32 Wenn du mein Herz tröstest, so laufe ich den Weg deiner Gebote.
The way of thy commandments, will I run, for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
33 Zeige mir, HERR, den Weg deiner Rechte, daß ich sie bewahre bis ans Ende.
[HE.] Point out to me, O Yahweh, the way of thy statutes, that I may observe it unto the end.
34 Unterweise mich, daß ich bewahre dein Gesetz und halte es von ganzem Herzen.
Give me understanding, that I may observe thy law, that I may keep it with a whole heart.
35 Führe mich auf dem Steige deiner Gebote; denn ich habe Lust dazu.
Guide me in the path of thy commandments, for, therein, do I find pleasure.
36 Neige mein Herz zu deinen Zeugnissen und nicht zum Geiz.
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not unto unjust gain.
37 Wende meine Augen ab, daß sie nicht sehen nach unnützer Lehre, sondern erquicke mich auf deinem Wege.
Turn away mine eyes, from beholding vanity, In thy way, give me life.
38 Laß deinen Knecht dein Gebot festiglich für dein Wort halten, daß ich dich fürchte!
Establish, unto thy servant, thy word, which pertaineth to the reverence of thee.
39 Wende von mir die Schmach, die ich scheue; denn deine Rechte sind lieblich.
Cause to pass away my reproach, that I have feared, for, thy regulations, are good.
40 Siehe, ich begehre deiner Befehle; erquicke mich mit deiner Gerechtigkeit!
Lo! I have longed for thy precepts, In thy righteousness, give me life.
41 HERR, laß mir deine Gnade widerfahren, deine Hilfe nach deinem Wort,
[WAW.] And let thy lovingkindness reach me, O Yahweh, thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 daß ich antworten möge meinem Lästerer; denn ich verlasse mich auf dein Wort.
So shall I have something to answer him that reproacheth me, That I have trusted in thy word.
43 Und nimm ja nicht von meinem Munde das Wort der Wahrheit; denn ich hoffe auf deine Rechte.
And do not snatch away from my mouth the word of truth in any wise, because, for thy regulation, have I waited.
44 Ich will dein Gesetz halten allewege, immer und ewiglich.
That I may keep thy law continually, to times age-abiding and beyond.
45 Und ich wandle fröhlich; denn ich suche deine Befehle.
That I may walk to and fro in a large place, because, thy precepts, have I sought.
46 Ich rede von deinen Zeugnissen vor Königen und schäme mich nicht;
That I may speak of thy testimonies before kings, and not be ashamed.
47 und habe Lust an deinen Geboten, und sind mir lieb;
That I may find dear delight in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 und hebe meine Hände auf zu deinen Geboten, die mir lieb sind, und rede von deinen Rechten.
That I may lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and may meditate in thy statutes.
49 Gedenke deinem Knechte an dein Wort, auf welches du mich lässest hoffen:
[ZAYIN.] Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 Das ist mein Trost in meinem Elende; denn dein Wort erquicket mich.
This, is my comfort in mine affliction, that, thy word, hath given me life.
51 Die Stolzen haben ihren Spott an mir; dennoch weiche ich nicht von deinem Gesetz.
Insolent men, have derided me exceedingly, From thy law, have I not swerved.
52 HERR, wenn ich gedenke, wie du von der Welt her gerichtet hast, so werde ich getröstet.
I have remembered thy regulations, [which have come down] from age-past times, O Yahweh, and have consoled myself.
53 Ich bin entbrannt über die Gottlosen, die dein Gesetz verlassen.
A raging heat, hath seized me, by reason of the lawless, who forsake thy law.
54 Deine Rechte sind mein Lied in dem Hause meiner Wallfahrt.
Songs, have thy statutes become to me, in my house of sojourn.
55 HERR, ich gedenke des Nachts an deinen Namen und halte dein Gesetz.
I have remembered, in the night, thy Name, O Yahweh, and have kept thy law.
56 Das ist mein Schatz, daß ich deine Befehle halte.
This, have I had, because, thy precepts, have I observed.
57 Ich habe gesagt, HERR, das soll mein Erbe sein, daß ich deine Wege halte.
[HETH.] My portion, is Yahweh, I have promised that I would keep thy words.
58 Ich flehe vor deinem Angesichte von ganzem Herzen; sei mir gnädig nach deinem Wort!
I have sought the smile of thy face with all my heart, Show me favour, according to thy word.
59 Ich betrachte meine Wege und kehre meine Füße zu deinen Zeugnissen.
I have thought upon my ways, and have turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
60 Ich eile und säume mich nicht, zu halten deine Gebote.
I have hastened, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.
61 Der Gottlosen Rotte beraubet mich; aber ich vergesse deines Gesetzes nicht.
The meshes of the lawless, have surrounded me, Thy law, have I not forgotten.
62 Zur Mitternacht stehe ich auf, dir zu danken für die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit.
At midnight, I arise to give thanks unto thee, For thy righteous regulations.
63 Ich halte mich zu denen, die dich fürchten und deine Befehle halten.
Companion, am I, to all who revere thee, and to them who keep thy precepts.
64 HERR, die Erde ist voll deiner Güte; lehre mich deine Rechte!
Of thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, the earth, is full, Thy statutes, teach thou me.
65 Du tust Gutes deinem Knechte, HERR, nach deinem Wort.
[TETH.] Well, hast thou dealt with thy servant, O Yahweh, according to thy word.
66 Lehre mich heilsame Sitten und Erkenntnis; denn ich glaube deinen Geboten.
Good judgment and knowledge, teach thou me, For, in thy commandments, have I trusted.
67 Ehe ich gedemütiget ward, irrete ich; nun aber halte ich dein Wort.
Before I was afflicted, I myself was going astray, but, now, thy word, have I kept.
68 Du bist gütig und freundlich; lehre mich deine Rechte!
Good, thou art, and doing good, Teach me thy statutes.
69 Die Stolzen erdichten Lügen über mich; ich aber halte von ganzem Herzen deine Befehle.
Insolent men have plastered falsehood over me, I, with a whole heart, will observe thy precepts.
70 Ihr Herz ist dick wie Schmeer; ich aber habe Lust an deinem Gesetz.
Gross, like fat, is their heart, I, in thy law, have found dear delight.
71 Es ist mir lieb, daß du mich gedemütiget hast, daß ich deine Rechte lerne.
It is, well for me, that I was afflicted, That I might learn thy statutes.
72 Das Gesetz deines Mundes ist mir lieber denn viel tausend Stück Gold und Silber.
Better to me, is the law of thy mouth, than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Deine Hand hat mich gemacht und bereitet; unterweise mich, daß ich deine Gebote lerne.
[YODH.] Thine own hands, have made me, and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Die dich fürchten, sehen mich und freuen sich; denn ich hoffe auf dein Wort.
They who revere thee, shall see me and rejoice, that, for thy word, I waited.
75 HERR, ich weiß, daß deine Gerichte recht sind und hast mich treulich gedemütiget.
I know, O Yahweh, that righteous are thy regulations, and, in faithfulness, didst thou afflict me.
76 Deine Gnade müsse mein Trost sein, wie du deinem Knechte zugesagt hast.
Let thy lovingkindness, I beseech thee, serve to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 Laß mir deine Barmherzigkeit widerfahren, daß ich lebe; denn ich habe Lust zu deinem Gesetz.
Let thy compassions reach me, that I may live, for, thy law, is my dear delight.
78 Ach, daß die Stolzen müßten zuschanden werden, die mich mit Lügen niederdrücken! Ich aber rede von deinem Befehl.
Let insolent men, be ashamed, because, by means of falsehood, they have dealt with me perversely, I, will meditate in thy precepts.
79 Ach, daß sich müßten zu mir halten, die dich fürchten und deine Zeugnisse kennen!
Let them who revere thee, turn unto me, even they who know thy testimonies.
80 Mein Herz bleibe rechtschaffen in deinen Rechten, daß ich nicht zuschanden werde.
Let my heart be thorough in thy statutes, that I may not be ashamed.
81 Meine Seele verlanget nach deinem Heil; ich hoffe auf dein Wort.
[KAPH.] My soul, hath languished for thy salvation, For thy word, have I hoped.
82 Meine Augen sehnen sich nach deinem Wort und sagen: Wann tröstest du mich?
Mine eyes have failed for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Denn ich bin wie eine Haut im Rauch; deiner Rechte vergesse ich nicht.
Though I have been like a wine-skin in the smoke, thy statutes, have I not forgotten.
84 Wie lange soll dein Knecht warten? Wann willst du Gericht halten über meine Verfolger?
How few are the days of thy servant! When wilt thou execute sentence on my persecutors?
85 Die Stolzen graben mir Gruben, die nicht sind nach deinem Gesetz.
Insolent men digged for me pits, men who are not according to thy law.
86 Deine Gebote sind eitel Wahrheit. Sie verfolgen mich mit Lügen; hilf mir!
All thy commandments, are faithful, With falsehood, have they persecuted me, O help me!
87 Sie haben mich schier umgebracht auf Erden; ich aber verlasse deine Befehle nicht.
A little more, and they had consumed me in the earth, but, I, forsake not thy precepts.
88 Erquicke mich durch deine Gnade, daß ich halte die Zeugnisse deines Mundes.
According to thy lovingkindness, give thou me life, so will I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
89 HERR, dein Wort bleibt ewiglich, soweit der Himmel ist;
[LAMED.] Age-abidingly, O Yahweh, hath thy word been set up in the heavens.
90 deine Wahrheit währet für und für. Du hast die Erde zugerichtet, und sie bleibt stehen.
To generation after generation, is thy faithfulness, Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.
91 Es bleibet täglich nach deinem Wort; denn es muß dir alles dienen.
By thy regulations, do they stand to-day, for, all, are thy servants.
92 Wo dein Gesetz nicht mein Trost gewesen wäre, so wäre ich vergangen in meinem Elende.
Had not thy law been my dear delight, then, had I perished in mine affliction.
93 Ich will deine Befehle nimmermehr vergessen; denn du erquickest mich damit.
Unto times age-abiding, will I not forget thy precepts, For, by them, hast thou given me life.
94 Ich bin dein, hilf mir; denn ich suche deine Befehle.
Thine, am I, —oh save me! For, thy precepts, have I sought.
95 Die Gottlosen warten auf mich, daß sie mich umbringen; ich aber merke auf deine Zeugnisse.
For me, have the lawless waited, to destroy me, Thy testimonies, will I diligently consider.
96 Ich habe alles Dinges ein Ende gesehen; aber dein Gebot währet.
To all perfection, have I seen an end, Broad is thy commandment, exceedingly.
97 Wie habe ich dein Gesetz so lieb! Täglich rede ich davon.
[MEM.] Oh how I love thy law! All the day, is it my (meditation)
98 Du machst mich mit deinem Gebot weiser, denn meine Feinde sind; denn es ist ewiglich mein Schatz.
Beyond mine enemies, will thy commandment make me wise, for, age-abidingly, shall it be mine.
99 Ich bin gelehrter denn alle meine Lehrer; denn deine Zeugnisse sind meine Rede.
Beyond all my teachers, have I shown discretion, for, thy testimonies, are my (meditation)
100 Ich bin klüger denn die Alten; denn ich halte deine Befehle.
Beyond the elders, will I show understanding, for, thy precepts, have I observed.
101 Ich wehre meinem Fuß alle bösen Wege, daß ich dein Wort halte.
From every way of wickedness, have I withheld my feet, that I might keep thy word.
102 Ich weiche nicht von deinen Rechten; denn du lehrest mich.
From thy regulations, have I not turned aside, for, thou, hast directed me.
103 Dein Wort ist meinem Munde süßer denn Honig.
How smooth to my palate is thy speech, More than honey, to my mouth.
104 Dein Wort macht mich klug; darum hasse ich alle falschen Wege,
Out of thy precepts, will I get understanding, For this cause, do I hate every false way.
105 Dein Wort ist meines Fußes Leuchte und ein Licht auf meinem Wege.
[NUN.] A lamp to my feet, is thy word, and a light to my path.
106 Ich schwöre und will's halten, daß ich die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit halten will.
I sware, and have fulfilled, To keep thy righteous regulations.
107 Ich bin sehr gedemütiget; HERR, erquicke mich nach deinem Wort!
I have been afflicted exceedingly, —O Yahweh, give me life according to thy word.
108 Laß dir gefallen, HERR, das willige Opfer meines Mundes und lehre mich deine Rechte.
The freewill offerings of my mouth, accept, I pray thee, O Yahweh, And, thy regulations, teach thou me.
109 Ich trage meine Seele immer in meinen Händen und ich vergesse deines Gesetzes nicht.
My life, is in my hand continually, Yet, thy law, have I not forgotten.
110 Die Gottlosen legen mir Stricke; ich aber irre nicht von deinem Befehl.
The lawless have set a snare for me, Yet, from thy precepts, have I not strayed.
111 Deine Zeugnisse sind mein ewiges Erbe; denn sie sind meines Herzens Wonne.
As an inheritance have I taken thy testimonies unto times age-abiding, for, the joy of my heart, they are.
112 Ich neige mein Herz, zu tun nach deinen Rechten immer und ewiglich.
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes, Age-abidingly, to the end.
113 Ich hasse die Flattergeister und liebe dein Gesetz.
[SAMECH.] Half-hearted ones, do I hate, but, thy law, do I love.
114 Du bist mein Schirm und Schild; ich hoffe auf dein Wort.
My hiding-place and my buckler, thou art, For thy word, have I waited.
115 Weichet von mir, ihr Boshaftigen; ich will halten die Gebote meines Gottes.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers, —that I may observe the commandments of my God.
116 Erhalte mich durch dein Wort, daß ich lebe, und laß mich nicht zuschanden werden über meiner Hoffnung.
Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live, and do not shame me out of my hope!
117 Stärke mich, daß ich genese, so will ich stets meine Lust haben an deinen Rechten.
Sustain me, that I may be saved, and may find dear delight in thy statutes continually.
118 Du zertrittst alle, die deiner Rechte fehlen; denn ihre Trügerei ist eitel Lüge.
Thou hast made light of all who stray from thy statutes, for their fraud is, falsehood.
119 Du wirfst alle Gottlosen auf Erden weg wie Schlacken; darum liebe ich deine Zeugnisse.
Dross, have I accounted all the lawless of the earth, therefore do I love thy testimonies.
120 Ich fürchte mich vor dir, daß mir die Haut schauert, und entsetze mich vor deinen Rechten.
My flesh, bristled up from dread of thee, and, of thy regulations, stand I in fear.
121 Ich halte über dem Recht und Gerechtigkeit; übergib mich nicht denen, die mir wollen Gewalt tun!
[AYIN.] I have done justice and righteousness, —Do not leave me to mine oppressors.
122 Vertritt du deinen Knecht und tröste ihn, daß mir die Stolzen nicht Gewalt tun.
Be thou surety for thy servant for good, Let not insolent men oppress me.
123 Meine Augen sehnen sich nach deinem Heil und nach dem Wort deiner Gerechtigkeit.
Mine eyes, have become dim for thy salvation, and for thy righteous word.
124 Handle mit deinem Knechte nach deiner Gnade und lehre mich deine Rechte!
Deal with thy servant according to thy lovingkindness, and, thy statutes, teach thou me.
125 Ich bin dein Knecht; unterweise mich, daß ich erkenne deine Zeugnisse!
Thy servant, I am—give me understanding, so shall I get to know thy testimonies.
126 Es ist Zeit, daß der HERR dazu tue; sie haben dein Gesetz zerrissen.
It is time that Yahweh should work, They have frustrated thy law!
127 Darum liebe ich dein Gebot über Gold und über fein Gold.
For this cause, do I love thy commandments, More than gold, yea than fine gold!
128 Darum halte ich stracks alle deine Befehle; ich hasse allen falschen Weg.
For this cause, all thy precepts concerning all things, I deem right, Every way of falsehood, I hate.
129 Deine Zeugnisse sind wunderbarlich; darum hält sie meine Seele.
[PE.] Wonderful are thy testimonies, For this cause, hath my soul observed them.
130 Wenn dein Wort offenbar wird, so erfreuet es und macht klug die Einfältigen.
The opening of thy words, sheddeth light, Giving understanding to the simple.
131 Ich tue meinen Mund auf und begehre deine Gebote; denn mich verlanget danach.
My mouth, have I opened wide, and panted, because, for thy commandments, have I longed.
132 Wende dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig, wie du pflegst zu tun denen, die deinen Namen lieben.
Turn thyself unto me, and show me favour, —As is befitting, to the lovers of thy Name.
133 Laß meinen Gang gewiß sein in deinem Wort und laß kein Unrecht über mich herrschen!
My steps, direct thou by thy word, and let no iniquity, have dominion over me.
134 Erlöse mich von der Menschen Frevel, so will ich halten deine Befehle.
Set me free from the oppression of man, so will I keep thy precepts.
135 Laß dein Antlitz leuchten über deinen Knecht und lehre mich deine Rechte!
Thy face, light thou up on thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
136 Meine Augen fließen mit Wasser, daß man dein Gesetz nicht hält.
Streams of water, have run down mine eyes, because men have not kept thy law.
137 HERR, du bist gerecht und dein Wort ist recht.
[ZADHE.] Righteous art thou, O Yahweh, —and, equitable, are thy regulations.
138 Du hast die Zeugnisse deiner Gerechtigkeit und die Wahrheit hart geboten.
Thou hast righteously commanded thy testimonies, yea in great faithfulness.
139 Ich habe mich schier zu Tode geeifert, daß meine Widersacher deiner Worte vergessen.
My zeal, hath put an end to me, for mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.
140 Dein Wort ist wohl geläutert, und dein Knecht hat es lieb.
Refined is thy word, to the uttermost, and, thy servant loveth it.
141 Ich bin gering und verachtet, ich vergesse aber nicht deines Befehls.
Small, am I, and despised, Thy precepts, have I not forgotten.
142 Deine Gerechtigkeit ist eine ewige Gerechtigkeit, und dein Gesetz ist Wahrheit.
Thy righteousness, is righteous to times age-abiding, and, thy law, is truth.
143 Angst und Not haben mich getroffen; ich habe aber Lust an deinen Geboten.
Straitness and distress, have befallen me, Thy commandments, are my dear delights.
144 Die Gerechtigkeit deiner Zeugnisse ist ewig; unterweise mich, so lebe ich.
Righteous are thy testimonies, unto times age-abiding, Give me understanding, that I may live.
145 Ich rufe von ganzem Herzen; erhöre mich, HERR, daß ich deine Rechte halte!
[KOPH.] I have cried out with all my heart, answer me, O Yahweh; Thy statutes, will I observe.
146 Ich rufe zu dir; hilf mir, daß ich deine Zeugnisse halte!
I have cried out unto thee, oh save me, That I may keep thy testimonies.
147 Ich komme frühe und schreie; auf dein Wort hoffe ich.
I forestalled the twilight, and cried for help, For thy word, I waited.
148 Ich wache frühe auf, daß ich rede von deinem Wort.
Mine eyes forestalled the night-watches, To meditate in thy word.
149 Höre meine Stimme nach deiner Gnade; HERR, erquicke mich nach deinen Rechten!
My voice, O hear, according to thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh! according to thy wont, give me life.
150 Meine boshaftigen Verfolger wollen mir zu und sind ferne von deinem Gesetz.
They have drawn near, who pursue villainy, From thy law, have they gone far away.
151 HERR, du bist nahe, und deine Gebote sind eitel Wahrheit.
Near art thou, O Yahweh, and, all thy commandments, are truth.
152 Zuvor weiß ich aber, daß du deine Zeugnisse ewiglich gegründet hast.
Long, have I known, from thy testimonies, That, to times age-abiding, thou didst establish them.
153 Siehe mein Elend und errette mich; hilf mir aus, denn ich vergesse deines Gesetzes nicht.
[RESH.] Behold mine affliction, and rescue me, For, thy law, have I not forgotten.
154 Führe meine Sache und erlöse mich; erquicke mich durch dein Wort!
Plead my cause, and redeem me, By thy word, give me life
155 Das Heil ist ferne von den Gottlosen; denn sie achten deine Rechte nicht.
Far from the lawless, is salvation, For, thy statutes, have they not sought.
156 HERR, deine Barmherzigkeit ist groß; erquicke mich nach deinen Rechten!
Thy compassions, are great, O Yahweh, According to thy regulations, give me life.
157 Meiner Verfolger und Widersacher ist viel; ich weiche aber nicht von deinen Zeugnissen.
Many, are my persecutors and mine adversaries, From thy testimonies, have I not swerved.
158 Ich sehe die Verächter, und tut mir wehe, daß sie dein Wort nicht halten.
I have seen traitors, and felt loathing, Because, thy word, they kept not.
159 Siehe, ich liebe deine Befehle; HERR, erquicke mich nach deiner Gnade!
See thou that, thy precepts, I have loved, O Yahweh, according to thy lovingkindness, give me life.
160 Dein Wort ist nichts denn Wahrheit; alle Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit währen ewiglich.
The sum of thy word, is truth, and, age-abiding, is every one of thy righteous regulations.
161 Die Fürsten verfolgen mich ohne Ursache und mein Herz fürchtet sich vor deinen Worten.
[SHIN.] Rulers, have persecuted me, without cause, But, of thy word, hath my heart stood in awe.
162 ich freue mich über dein Wort wie einer, der eine große Beute kriegt.
Joyful am I over thy word, Like the finder of spoil in abundance.
163 Lügen bin ich gram und habe Greuel daran; aber dein Gesetz habe ich lieb.
Falsehood, I hate and abhor, Thy law, do I love.
164 Ich lobe dich des Tages siebenmal um der Rechte willen deiner Gerechtigkeit.
Seven times in the day, have I praised thee, For thy righteous regulations.
165 Großen Frieden haben, die dein Gesetz lieben, und werden nicht straucheln.
Blessing in abundance, have the lovers of thy law, and nothing to make them stumble.
166 HERR, ich warte auf dein Heil und tue nach deinen Geboten.
I have looked for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy commandments, have I done.
167 Meine Seele hält deine Zeugnisse und liebet sie fast.
My soul hath kept thy testimonies, yea I have loved them greatly.
168 Ich halte deine Befehle und deine Zeugnisse; denn alle meine Wege sind vor dir.
I have kept thy precepts, and thy testimonies, For, all my ways, are before thee.
169 HERR, laß meine Klage vor, dich kommen; unterweise mich nach deinem Wort!
[TAU] Let my shouting come near before thee, O Yahweh, According to thy word, give me understanding.
170 Laß mein Flehen vor dich kommen; errette mich nach deinem Wort!
Let my supplication come in before thee, According to thy word, deliver me.
171 Meine Lippen sollen toben, wenn du mich deine Rechte lehrest.
My lips, shall pour out, praise, When thou shalt teach me thy statutes.
172 Meine Zunge soll ihr Gespräch haben von deinem Wort; denn alle deine Gebote sind recht.
My tongue, shall respond, with thy word, For, all thy commandments, are righteous.
173 Laß mir deine Hand beistehen; denn ich habe erwählet deine Befehle.
Be thy hand ready to help me, For, thy statutes, have I chosen.
174 HERR, mich verlanget nach deinem Heil und habe Lust an deinem Gesetz.
I have longed for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy law, is my dear delight.
175 Laß meine Seele leben, daß sie dich lobe, und deine Rechte mir helfen.
Let my soul live, that it may praise thee, So shall thy regulation help me.
176 Ich bin wie ein verirret und verloren Schaf; suche deinen Knecht; denn ich vergesse deiner Gebote nicht.
I have strayed like a wandering sheep, O seek thy servant, For, thy commandments, have I not forgotten.
