Psalm 113

1 Halleluja! Lobet, ihr Knechte des HERRN, lobet den Namen des HERRN!

Hallelujah! Praise, ye servants of Jehovah, praise the name of Jehovah.

2 Gelobet sei des HERRN Name von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!

Blessed be the name of Jehovah, from this time forth and for evermore!

3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobet der Name des HERRN!

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, let Jehovah's name be praised.

4 Der HERR ist hoch über alle Heiden; seine Ehre gehet, soweit der Himmel ist.

Jehovah is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.

5 Wer ist, wie der HERR, unser Gott? Der sich so hoch gesetzt hat

Who is like unto Jehovah our God, who hath placed his dwelling on high;

6 und auf das Niedrige siehet im Himmel und auf Erden;

Who humbleth himself to look on the heavens and on the earth?

7 der den Geringen aufrichtet aus dem Staube und erhöhet den Armen aus dem Kot,

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust; from the dung-hill he lifteth up the needy,

8 daß er ihn setze neben die Fürsten, neben die Fürsten seines Volks;

To set [him] among nobles, among the nobles of his people.

9 der die Unfruchtbare im Hause wohnen macht, daß sie eine fröhliche Kindermutter wird. Halleluja!

He maketh the barren woman to keep house, [as] a joyful mother of sons. Hallelujah!
