Philipper 3
1 Weiter, liebe Brüder, freuet euch in dem HERRN! Daß ich euch immer einerlei schreibe, verdrießt mich nicht und macht euch desto gewisser.
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord; to write the same things to you, to me is not burdensome, and for you it is safe.
2 Sehet auf die Hunde, sehet auf die bösen Arbeiter, sehet auf die Zerschneidung!
Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workmen, beware of the concision.
3 Denn wir sind die Beschneidung; die wir Gott im Geist dienen und rühmen uns von Christo Jesu und verlassen uns nicht auf Fleisch.
For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;
4 Wiewohl ich auch habe, daß ich mich Fleisches rühmen möchte. So ein anderer sich dünken lässet, er möge sich Fleisches rühmen, ich viel mehr,
though I myself have reason for confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath reason for confidence in the flesh, I more;
5 der ich am achten Tage beschnitten bin, einer aus dem Volk von Israel, des Geschlechts Benjamin, ein Ebräer aus den Ebräern und nach dem Gesetz ein Pharisäer,
circumcised the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee;
6 nach dem Eifer ein Verfolger der Gemeinde, nach der Gerechtigkeit im Gesetz gewesen unsträflich.
as to zeal, persecuting the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, blameless.
7 Aber was mir Gewinn war, das habe ich um Christi willen für Schaden geachtet.
But whatever things were gain to me, those for the sake of Christ I have counted but loss.
8 Denn ich achte es alles für Schaden gegen die überschwengliche Erkenntnis Christi Jesu, meines HERRN, um welches willen ich alles habe für Schaden gerechnet und achte es für Dreck, auf daß ich Christum gewinne
Nay more, I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, that I may gain Christ,
9 und in ihm erfunden werde, daß ich nicht habe meine Gerechtigkeit, die aus dem Gesetz, sondern die durch den Glauben an Christum kommt, nämlich die Gerechtigkeit, die von Gott dem Glauben zugerechnet wird,
and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God upon faith;
10 zu erkennen ihn und die Kraft seiner Auferstehung und die Gemeinschaft seiner Leiden, daß ich seinem Tode ähnlich werde,
that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, while becoming like him in his death,
11 damit ich entgegenkomme zur Auferstehung der Toten.
if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Nicht daß ich's schon ergriffen habe oder schon vollkommen sei; ich jage ihm aber nach, ob ich's auch ergreifen möchte, nachdem ich von Christo Jesu ergriffen bin.
Not that I have already obtained, or have been already perfected; but I press on, if I may also lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ.
13 Meine Brüder, ich schätze mich selbst noch nicht, daß ich's ergriffen habe. Eines aber sage ich: Ich vergesse, was dahinten ist, und strecke mich zu dem, das da vorne ist,
Brethren, I do not reckon myself to have laid hold of it; but one thing I do, forgetting the things that are behind, and stretching forth to the things that are before,
14 und jage nach dem vorgesteckten Ziel, nach dem Kleinod, welches vorhält die himmlische Berufung Gottes in Christo Jesu.
I press toward the mark for the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Wieviel nun unser vollkommen sind, die lasset uns also gesinnet sein. Und sollt ihr sonst etwas halten, das lasset euch Gott offenbaren,
Let us, therefore, as many as are perfect, be of this mind; and if ye have a different mind in anything, even this will God reveal to you.
16 doch so ferne, daß wir nach einer Regel, darein wir kommen sind, wandeln und gleichgesinnet seien.
Nevertheless, whereto we have reached, in that let us walk.
17 Folget mir, liebe Brüder, und sehet auf die, die also wandeln, wie ihr uns habt zum Vorbilde.
Brethren, be ye followers together of me, and mark those who walk as ye have us for an example.
18 Denn viele wandeln, von welchen ich euch oft gesagt habe, nun aber sage ich auch mit Weinen: Die Feinde des Kreuzes Christi;
For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ;
19 welcher Ende ist die Verdammnis, welchen der Bauch ihr Gott ist, und ihre Ehre zuschanden wird, derer, die irdisch gesinnet sind.
whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, whose mind is on earthly things.
20 Unser Wandel aber ist im Himmel von dannen wir auch warten des Heilandes Jesu Christi, des HERRN,
For the country of which we are citizens is heaven, whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 welcher unsern nichtigen Leib verklären wird, daß er ähnlich werde seinem verklärten Leibe, nach der Wirkung, damit er kann auch alle Dinge ihm untertänig machen.]
who will transform the body of our humiliation so that it shall be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of the power with which he is able to subdue all things to himself.
