4 Mose 31
1 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Räche die Kinder Israel an den Midianitern, daß du danach dich sammelst zu deinem Volk.
Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.
3 Da redete Mose mit dem Volk und sprach: Rüstet unter euch Leute zum Heer wider die Midianiter, daß sie den HERRN rächen an den Midianitern;
And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm ye men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute the LORD’S vengeance on Midian.
4 aus jeglichem Stamm tausend, daß ihr aus allen Stämmen Israels in das Heer schicket.
Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
5 Und sie nahmen aus den Tausenden Israels, je tausend eines Stamms, zwölftausend gerüstet zum Heer.
So there were delivered, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6 Und Mose schickte sie mit Pinehas, dem Sohn Eleasars, des Priesters, ins Heer, und die heiligen Kleider und die Halltrommeten in seine Hand.
And Moses sent them, a thousand of every tribe, to the war, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
7 Und sie führeten das Heer wider die Midianiter, wie der HERR Mose geboten hatte, und erwürgeten alles, was männlich war.
And they warred against Midian, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew every male.
8 Dazu die Könige der Midianiter erwürgeten sie samt ihren Erschlagenen, nämlich Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur und Reba, die fünf Könige der Midianiter. Bileam, den Sohn Beors, erwürgeten sie auch mit dem Schwert.
And they slew the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain; Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
9 Und die Kinder Israel nahmen gefangen die Weiber der Midianiter und ihre Kinder; all ihr Vieh, alle ihre Habe und alle ihre Güter raubten sie.
And the children of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones; and all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods, they took for a prey.
10 Und verbrannten mit Feuer alle ihre Städte ihrer Wohnung und alle Burgen.
And all their cities in the places wherein they dwelt, and all their encampments, they burnt with fire.
11 Und nahmen allen Raub und alles, was zu nehmen war, beide Menschen und Vieh,
And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of man and of beast.
12 und brachten's zu Mose und zu Eleasar, dem Priester, und zu der Gemeine der Kinder Israel, nämlich die Gefangenen und das genommene Vieh und das geraubte Gut ins Lager, auf der Moabiter Gefilde, das am Jordan liegt gegen Jericho.
And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.
13 Und Mose und Eleasar, der Priester, und alle Fürsten der Gemeine gingen ihnen entgegen hinaus vor das Lager.
And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.
14 Und Mose ward zornig über die Hauptleute des Heers, die Hauptleute über tausend und über hundert waren, die aus dem Heer und Streit kamen,
And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, which came from the service of the war.
15 und sprach zu ihnen: Warum habt ihr alle Weiber leben lassen?
And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
16 Siehe, haben nicht dieselben die Kinder Israel durch Bileams Rat abgewendet, sich zu versündigen am HERRN über dem Peor, und widerfuhr eine Plage der Gemeine des HERRN?
Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was among the congregation of the LORD.
17 So erwürget nun alles, was männlich ist unter den Kindern, und alle Weiber, die Männer erkannt und beigelegen haben;
Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 aber alle Kinder, die Weibsbilde sind und nicht Männer erkannt noch beigelegen haben, die lasset für euch leben.
But all the women children, that have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
19 Und lagert euch außer dem Lager sieben Tage, alle, die jemand erwürget oder die Erschlagenen angerühret haben, daß ihr euch entsündiget am dritten und siebenten Tage samt denen, die ihr gefangengenommen habt.
And encamp ye without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, ye and your captives.
20 Und alle Kleider und alle Geräte von Fellen und alles Pelzwerk und alles hölzerne Gefäß sollt ihr entsündigen.
And as to every garment, and all that is made of skin, and all work of goats’ [hair], and all things made of wood, ye shall purify yourselves.
21 Und Eleasar, der Priester, sprach zu dem Kriegsvolk, das in Streit gezogen war: Das ist das Gesetz, welches der HERR Mose geboten hat:
And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the statute of the law which the LORD hath commanded Moses:
22 Gold, Silber, Erz, Eisen, Zinn und Blei
howbeit the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23 und alles, was das Feuer leidet, sollt ihr durchs Feuer lassen gehen und reinigen, daß es mit dem Sprengwasser entsündiget werde. Aber alles, was nicht Feuer leidet, sollt ihr durchs Wasser gehen lassen.
every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make to go through the water.
24 Und sollt eure Kleider waschen am siebenten Tage, so werdet ihr rein; danach sollt ihr ins Lager kommen.
And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
25 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
26 Nimm die Summa des Raubes der Gefangenen, beide an Menschen und Vieh, du und Eleasar, der Priester, und die obersten Väter der Gemeine,
Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers’ [houses] of the congregation:
27 und gib die Hälfte denen, die ins Heer ausgezogen sind und die Schlacht getan haben, und die andere Hälfte der Gemeine.
and divide the prey into two parts; between the men skilled in war, that went out to battle, and all the congregation:
28 Und sollst dem HERRN heben von den Kriegsleuten, die ins Heer gezogen sind, je von fünf Hunderten eine Seele, beide an Menschen, Rindern, Eseln und Schafen.
and levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war that went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, [both] of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the flocks:
29 Von ihrer Hälfte sollst du es nehmen und dem Priester Eleasar geben zur Hebe dem HERRN.
take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for the LORD’S heave offering.
30 Aber von der Hälfte der Kinder Israel sollst du je von fünfzigen nehmen ein Stück Guts, beide an Menschen, Rindern, Eseln und Schafen und von allem Vieh, und sollst es den Leviten geben, die der Hut warten der Wohnung des HERRN.
And of the children of Israel’s half, thou shalt take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, [even] of all the cattle, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.
31 Und Mose und Eleasar, der Priester, taten, wie der HERR Mose geboten hatte.
And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.
32 Und es war der übrigen Ausbeute, die das Kriegsvolk geraubet hatte, sechsmal hundert und fünfündsiebenzigtausend Schafe,
Now the prey, over and above the booty which the men of war took, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,
33 zweiundsiebenzigtausend Rinder,
and threescore and twelve thousand beeves,
34 einundsechzigtausend Esel
and threescore and one thousand asses,
35 und der Weibsbilde, die nicht Männer erkannt, noch beigelegen hatten, zweiunddreißigtausend Seelen.
and thirty and two thousand persons in all, of the women that had not known man by lying with him.
36 Und die Hälfte, die denen, so ins Heer gezogen waren, gehörte, war an der Zahl dreihundertmal und siebenunddreißigtausend und fünfhundert Schafe.
And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep:
37 Davon wurden dem HERRN sechshundertundfünfundsiebenzig Schafe.
and the LORD’S tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.
38 Item, sechsunddreißigtausend Rinder; davon wurden dem HERRN zweiundsiebenzig.
And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD’S tribute was threescore and twelve.
39 Item, dreißigtausend und fünfhundert Esel; davon wurden dem HERRN einundsechzig.
And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD’S tribute was threescore and one.
40 Item, Menschenseelen, sechzehntausend Seelen; davon wurden dem HERRN zwounddreißig Seelen.
And the persons were sixteen thousand; of whom the LORD’S tribute was thirty and two persons.
41 Und Mose gab solche Hebe des HERRN dem Priester Eleasar, wie ihm der HERR geboten hatte.
And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD’S heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.
42 Aber die andere Hälfte, die Mose den Kindern Israel zuteilte von den Kriegsleuten
And of the children of Israel’s half, which Moses divided off from the men that warred,
43 nämlich die Hälfte der Gemeine zuständig, war auch dreihundertmal und siebenunddreißigtausend fünfhundert Schafe,
(now the congregation’s half was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand, seven thousand and five hundred sheep,
44 sechsunddreißigtausend Rinder,
and thirty and six thousand beeves,
45 dreißigtausend und fünfhundert Esel
and thirty thousand and five hundred asses,
46 und sechzehntausend Menschenseelen.
and sixteen thousand persons; )
47 Und Mose nahm von dieser Hälfte der Kinder Israel je ein Stück von fünfzigen, beide des Viehes und der Menschen, und gab's den Leviten, die der Hut warteten an der Wohnung des HERRN, wie der HERR Mose geboten hatte.
even of the children of Israel’s half, Moses took one drawn out of every fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
48 Und es traten herzu die Hauptleute über die Tausende des Kriegsvolks, nämlich die über tausend und über hundert waren, zu Mose
And the officers which were over the thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:
49 und sprachen zu ihm: Deine Knechte haben die Summa genommen der Kriegsleute; die unter unsern Händen gewesen sind, und fehlet nicht einer.
and they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
50 Darum bringen wir dem HERRN Geschenke, was ein jeglicher funden hat von güldenem Geräte, Ketten, Armgeschmeide, Ringe, Ohrenrinken und Spangen, daß unsere Seelen versöhnet werden vor dem HERRN.
And we have brought the LORD’S oblation, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, ankle chains, and bracelets, signet-rings, earrings, and armlets, to make atonement for our souls before the LORD.
51 Und Mose nahm von ihnen, samt dem Priester Eleasar das Gold allerlei Geräts.
And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.
52 Und alles Goldes Hebe, das sie dem HERRN huben, war sechzehntausend und siebenhundertundfünfzig Sekel von den Hauptleuten über tausend und hundert.
And all the gold of the heave offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.
53 Denn die Kriegsleute hatten geraubet ein jeglicher für sich.
([For] the men of war had taken booty, every man for himself.)
54 Und Mose mit Eleasar, dem Priester, nahm das Gold von den Hauptleuten über tausend und hundert und brachten es in die Hütte des Stifts zum Gedächtnis der Kinder Israel vor dem HERRN.
And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tent of meeting, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
