4 Mose 16
1 Und Korah, der Sohn Jezehars, des Sohns Kahaths, des Sohns Levis, samt Dathan und Abiram, den Söhnen Eliabs, und On, dem Sohne Peleths, den Söhnen Rubens,
Lo! forsothe Chore, the sone of Isuar, sone of Caath, sone of Leuy, and Dathan and Abiron, the sones of Heliab, and Hon, the sone of Pheleph, of the sones of Ruben, rysen ayens Moises,
2 die empöreten sich wider Mose, samt etlichen Männern unter den Kindern Israel, zweihundertundfünfzig der Vornehmsten in der Gemeine, Ratsherren und ehrliche Leute.
and othere of the sones of Israel, two hundryd men and fifti, prynces of the synagoge, and whiche weren clepid bi names in the tyme of counsel.
3 Und sie versammelten sich wider Mose und Aaron und sprachen zu ihnen: Ihr macht's zu viel! Denn die ganze Gemeine ist überall heilig, und der HERR ist unter ihnen; warum erhebet ihr euch über die Gemeine des HERRN?
And whanne `thei hadden stonde ayens Moises and Aaron, thei seiden, Suffice it to you, for al the multitude is of hooly men, and the Lord is in hem; whi ben ye reisid on the puple of the Lord?
4 Da das Mose hörete, fiel er auf sein Angesicht
And whanne Moises hadde herd this, he felde lowe on the face.
5 und sprach zu Korah und zu seiner ganzen Rotte: Morgen wird der HERR kundtun, wer sein sei, wer heilig sei und ihm opfern soll; welchen er erwählet, der soll ihm opfern.
And he spak to Chore, and to al the multitude; he seide, Eerli the Lord schal make knowun whiche perteynen to hym, and he schal applie to hym hooli men; and thei whiche he hath chose, schulen neiye to hym.
6 Das tut: Nehmet euch Pfannen, Korah und seine ganze Rotte,
Therfor do ye this thing; ech man take his cencere, thou Chore, and al thi counsel;
7 und leget Feuer drein und tut Räuchwerk drauf vor dem HERRN morgen. Welchen der HERR erwählet, der sei heilig. Ihr macht's zuviel, ihr Kinder Levis!
and to morewe whanne fier is takun vp, putte ye encense aboue bifor the Lord, and whom euer the Lord chesith, he schal be hooli. Ye sones of Leuy ben myche reisid.
8 Und Mose sprach zu Korah: Lieber, höret doch, ihr Kinder Levis!
And eft Moises seide to Chore, Ye sones of Leuy, here.
9 Ist's euch zu wenig, daß euch der Gott Israels ausgesondert hat von der Gemeine Israel, daß ihr ihm opfern sollet, daß ihr dienet im Amt der Wohnung des HERRN und vor die Gemeine tretet, ihr zu dienen?
Whether it is litil to you, that God of Israel departide you fro al the puple, and ioynede you to hym silf, that ye schulden serue hym in the seruyce of tabernacle, and that ye schulden stonde bifor the multitude of puple, and schulden serue hym?
10 Er hat dich und alle deine Brüder, die Kinder Levis, samt dir zu sich genommen; und ihr suchet nun auch das Priestertum.
Made he therfor thee and alle thi bretheren the sones of Leuy to neiy to hym silf, that ye chalenge to you also preesthod,
11 Du und deine ganze Rotte machet einen Aufruhr wider den HERRN. Was ist Aaron, daß ihr wider ihn murret?
and al thi gaderyng togidere stonde ayens the Lord? For whi what is Aaron, that ye grutchen ayens hym?
12 Und Mose schickte hin und ließ Dathan und Abiram rufen, die Söhne Eliabs. Sie aber sprachen: Wir kommen nicht hinauf.
Therfor Moises sente to clepe Dathan and Abiron, the sones of Heliab; whiche answeriden, We comen not.
13 Ist's zu wenig, daß du uns aus dem Lande geführet hast, da Milch und Honig innen fleußt, daß du uns tötest in der Wüste? Du mußt auch noch über uns herrschen?
Whethir is it litil to thee, that thou leddist vs out of the lond that flowide with mylk and hony, to sle vs in the deseert, no but also thou be lord of vs?
14 Wie fein hast du uns gebracht in ein Land, da Milch und Honig innen fleußt, und hast uns Acker und Weinberge zu Erbteil gegeben! Willst du den Leuten auch die Augen ausreißen? Wir kommen nicht hinauf.
Verili thou hast bronyt vs in to the lond that flowith with streemys of mylk and hony, and hast youe to vs possessioun of feeldis, and of vyneris; whethir also thou wolt putte out oure iyen?
15 Da ergrimmete Mose sehr und sprach zu dem HERRN: Wende dich nicht zu ihrem Speisopfer! Ich habe, nicht einen Esel von ihnen genommen und habe ihrer keinem nie kein Leid getan.
We comen not. And Moises was wrooth greetli, and seide to the Lord, Biholde thou not the sacrifices of hem; thou wost that Y took neuere of hem, yhe, a litil asse, nethir Y turmentide ony of hem.
16 Und er sprach zu Korah: Du und deine ganze Rotte sollt morgen vor dem HERRN sein; du, sie auch und Aaron.
And Moises seide to Chore, Thou and al thi congregacioun stonde asidis half bifor the Lord, and Aaron to morewe bi hym silf.
17 Und ein jeglicher nehme seine Pfanne und lege Räuchwerk drauf, und tretet herzu vor den HERRN, ein jeglicher mit seiner Pfanne, das sind zweihundertundfünfzig Pfannen.
Take ye alle bi you silf youre censeris, and putte ye encense in tho, and offre ye to the Lord, tweyn hundrid and fifti censeris; and Aaron holde his censer.
18 Und ein jeglicher nahm seine Pfanne und legte Feuer drein und tat Räuchwerk drauf und traten vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts, und Mose und Aaron auch.
And whanne thei hadden do this, while Moises and Aaron stoden,
19 Und Korah versammelte wider sie die ganze Gemeine vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts. Aber die HERRLIchkeit des HERRN erschien vor der ganzen Gemeine.
and thei hadden gaderid al the multitude to the `dore of the tabernacle ayens hem, the glorie of the Lord apperide to alle.
20 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und Aaron und sprach:
And the Lord spak to Moises and Aaron,
21 Scheidet euch von dieser Gemeine, daß ich sie plötzlich vertilge!
and seide, Be ye departid fro the myddis of this congregacioun, that Y leese hem sodeynli.
22 Sie fielen aber auf ihr Angesicht und sprachen: Ach Gott, der du bist ein Gott der Geister alles Fleisches, ob ein Mann gesündiget hat, willst du darum über die ganze Gemeine wüten?
Whiche felden lowe on the face, and seiden, Strongeste God of the spiritis of al fleisch, whethir `thin yre schal be fers ayens alle men, for o man synneth?
23 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:
And the Lord seide to Moises,
24 Sage der Gemeine und sprich: Weichet ringsherum von der Wohnung Korahs und Dathans und Abirams!
Comaunde thou to al the puple, that it be departid fro the tabernaclis of Chore, and of Dathan, and of Abiron.
25 Und Mose stund auf und ging zu Dathan und Abiram, und die Ältesten Israels folgten ihm nach.
And Moises roos, and yede to Dathan and Abiron; and while the eldre men of Israel sueden hym,
26 Und redete mit der Gemeine und sprach: Weichet von den Hütten dieser gottlosen Menschen und rühret nichts an, was ihr ist, daß ihr nicht vielleicht umkommet in irgend ihrer Sünden einer.
he seide to the cumpeny, Go ye awey fro the tabernaclis of wickid men, and nyle ye touche tho thingis that parteynen to hem, lest ye ben wlappid in the synnes of hem.
27 Und sie gingen herauf von der Wohnung Korahs, Dathans und Abirams. Dathan aber und Abiram gingen heraus, traten an die Tür ihrer Hütten mit ihren Weibern und Söhnen und Kindern.
And whanne thei hadden gon awei fro the tentis `of hem bi the cumpas, Dathan and Abiron yeden out, and stoden in the entryng of her tentis, with wyues, and fre children, and al the multitude.
28 Und Mose sprach: Dabei sollt ihr merken, daß mich der HERR gesandt hat, daß ich alle diese Werke täte, und nicht aus meinem Herzen:
And Moises seide, In this ye schulen wite that the Lord sente me, that Y schulde do alle thingis whiche ye seen, and Y brouyte not forth tho of myn owne herte.
29 Werden sie sterben, wie alle Menschen sterben, oder heimgesucht, wie alle Menschen heimgesucht werden, so hat mich der HERR nicht gesandt.
If thei perischen bi customable deeth of men, and wounde visite hem, bi which also othere men ben wont to be visitid,
30 Wird aber der HERR etwas Neues schaffen, daß die Erde ihren Mund auftut und verschlinget sie mit allem, das sie haben, daß sie lebendig hinunter in die Hölle fahren, so werdet ihr erkennen, daß diese Leute den HERRN gelästert haben. (Sheol h7585)
the Lord sente not me; but if the Lord doith a newe thing, that the erthe opene his mouth, and swolewe hem, and alle thingis that perteynen to hem, and thei goen doun quyke in to helle, ye schulen wite that thei blasfemeden the Lord. (Sheol h7585)
31 Und als er diese Worte alle hatte ausgeredet, zerriß die Erde unter ihnen;
Therfor anoon as he cesside to speke, the erthe was brokun vndur her feet,
32 und tat ihren Mund auf und verschlang sie mit ihren Häusern, mit allen Menschen, die bei Korah waren, und mit aller ihrer Habe.
and the erthe openyde his mouth, and deuowride hem, with her tabernaclis, and al the catel `of hem;
33 Und fuhren hinunter lebendig in die Hölle mit allem, das sie hatten, und die Erde deckte sie zu, und kamen um aus der Gemeine. (Sheol h7585)
and thei yeden doun quike in to helle, and weren hilid with erthe, and perischiden fro the myddis of the multitude. (Sheol h7585)
34 Und ganz Israel, das um sie her war, floh vor ihrem Geschrei; denn sie sprachen: Daß uns die Erde nicht auch verschlinge!
And sotheli al Israel that stood bi the cumpas, fledde fro the cry of men perischinge, and seide, Lest perauenture the erthe swolewe also vs.
35 Dazu fuhr das Feuer aus von dem HERRN und fraß die zweihundertundfünfzig Männer, die das Räuchwerk opferten.
But also fier yede out fro the Lord, and killide tweyn hundrid and fifti men that offriden encense.
36 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:
And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,
37 Sage Eleasar, dem Sohn Aarons, des Priesters, daß er die Pfannen aufhebe aus dem Brande und streue das Feuer hin und her.
Comaunde thou to Eleasar, sone of Aaron, preest, that he take the censeris that liggen in the brennyng, and that he schatere the fier hidur and thidur; for tho ben halewid in the dethis of synneris;
38 Denn die Pfannen solcher Sünder sind geheiliget durch ihre Seele, daß man sie zu breiten Blechen schlage und den Altar damit behänge; denn sie sind geopfert vor dem HERRN und geheiliget und sollen den Kindern Israel zum Zeichen sein.
and that he bringe forth tho in to platis, and naile to the auter, for encense is offrid in tho to the Lord, and tho ben halewid, that the sonis of Israel se tho for a signe and memorial.
39 Und Eleasar, der Priester, nahm die ehernen Pfannen, die die Verbrannten geopfert hatten, und schlug sie zu Blechen, den Altar zu behängen,
Therfor Eleazar, preest, took the brasun senseris, in whiche censeris thei whiche the brennyng deuouride hadden offrid, and he `brouyt forth tho in to platis, and nailide to the auter;
40 zum Gedächtnis der Kinder Israel, daß nicht jemand Fremdes sich herzumache, der nicht ist des Samens Aaron, zu opfern Räuchwerk vor dem HERRN, auf daß ihm nicht gehe wie Korah und seiner Rotte, wie der HERR ihm geredet hatte durch Mose.
that the sones of Israel schulden haue thingis aftirward, bi whiche thei schulden remembre, lest ony alien, and which is not of the seed of Aaron, neiy to offre encense to the Lord, lest he suffre, as Chore sufferide, and al his multitude, while the Lord spak to Moises.
41 Des andern Morgens aber murrete die ganze Gemeine der Kinder Israel wider Mose und Aaron und sprachen: Ihr habt des HERRN Volk getötet!
Forsothe al the multitude of the sones of Israel grutchide in the dai suynge ayens Moises and Aaron, and seide, Ye han slayn the puple of the Lord.
42 Und da sich die Gemeine versammelte wider Mose und Aaron, wandten sie sich zu der Hütte des Stifts. Und siehe, da bedeckte es die Wolke, und die HERRLIchkeit des HERRN erschien.
And whanne discensioun roos,
43 Und Mose und Aaron gingen hinein zu der Hütte des Stifts.
and noise encresside, Moises and Aaron fledden to the tabernacle of the boond of pees; and aftir that thei entriden in to it, a cloude hilide the tabernacle, and the glorie of the Lord apperide.
44 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:
And the Lord seide to Moises and to Aaron,
45 Hebet euch aus dieser Gemeine; ich will sie plötzlich vertilgen. Und sie fielen auf ihr Angesicht.
Go ye awey fro the myddis of this multitude, also now Y schal do awey hem. And whanne thei laien in the erthe, Moises seide to Aaron,
46 Und Mose sprach zu Aaron: Nimm die Pfanne und tue Feuer drein vom Altar und lege Räuchwerk drauf, und gehe eilend zu der Gemeine und versöhne sie; denn das Wüten ist von dem HERRN ausgegangen, und die Plage ist angegangen.
Take the censer, and whanne fyer is takun vp of the auter, caste encense aboue, and go soone to the puple, that thou preye for hem; for now ire is gon out fro the Lord, and the wounde is feers.
47 Und Aaron nahm, wie ihm Mose gesagt hatte, und lief mitten unter die Gemeine (und siehe, die Plage war angegangen unter dem Volk) und räucherte und versöhnete das Volk.
And whanne Aaron hadde do this, and hadde runne to the myddis of the multitude, which the brennynge wastid thanne, he offeride encense;
48 Und stund zwischen den Toten und Lebendigen. Da ward der Plage gewehret.
and he stood bytwixe the deed men and lyuynge, and bisouyte for the puple, and the wounde ceesside.
49 Derer aber, die an der Plage gestorben waren, war vierzehntausendundsiebenhundert, ohne die, so mit Korah starben.
Sotheli thei that weren smytun weren fourtene thousynde of men and seuene hundrid, with outen hem that perischiden in the discencioun of Chore.
50 Und Aaron kam wieder zu Mose vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts, und der Plage ward gewehret.
And Aaron turnyde ayen to Moyses, to the dore of the tabernacle of boond of pees, aftir that the perischyng restide.
