Aionian Verses
Und alle seine Söhne und Töchter traten auf, daß sie ihn trösteten; aber er wollte sich nicht trösten lassen und sprach: Ich werde mit Leide hinunterfahren in die Grube zu meinem Sohne. Und sein Vater beweinete ihn. (Sheol h7585)
and all his sons and all his daughters rise to comfort him, and he refuses to comfort himself, and says, “For I go down to my son mourning, to Sheol,” and his father weeps for him. (Sheol h7585)
Er sprach: Mein Sohn soll nicht mit euch hinabziehen, denn sein Bruder ist tot, und er ist allein überblieben; wenn ihm ein Unfall auf dem Wege begegnete, da ihr auf reiset, würdet ihr meine grauen Haare mit Herzeleid in die Grube bringen. (Sheol h7585)
and he says, “My son does not go down with you, for his brother [is] dead, and he by himself is left; when harm has met him in the way in which you go, then you have brought down my grey hairs in sorrow to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)
Werdet ihr diesen auch von mir nehmen, und ihm ein Unfall widerfähret, so werdet ihr meine grauen Haare mit Jammer hinunter in die Grube bringen. (Sheol h7585)
when you have taken also this from my presence, and harm has met him, then you have brought down my grey hairs with evil to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
so wird's geschehen, wenn er siehet, daß der Knabe nicht da ist, daß er stirbt; so würden wir, deine Knechte, die grauen Haare deines Knechts; unsers Vaters, mit Herzeleid in die Grube bringen: (Sheol h7585)
then it has come to pass, when he sees that the youth is not, that he has died, and your servants have brought down the grey hairs of your servant our father with sorrow to Sheol; (Sheol h7585)
Wird aber der HERR etwas Neues schaffen, daß die Erde ihren Mund auftut und verschlinget sie mit allem, das sie haben, daß sie lebendig hinunter in die Hölle fahren, so werdet ihr erkennen, daß diese Leute den HERRN gelästert haben. (Sheol h7585)
but if YHWH does a strange thing, and the ground has opened her mouth and swallowed them and all that they have, and they have gone down alive to Sheol, then you have known that these men have despised YHWH.” (Sheol h7585)
Und fuhren hinunter lebendig in die Hölle mit allem, das sie hatten, und die Erde deckte sie zu, und kamen um aus der Gemeine. (Sheol h7585)
and they go down—they and all that they have—alive to Sheol, and the earth closes over them, and they perish from the midst of the assembly; (Sheol h7585)
Denn das Feuer ist angegangen durch meinen Zorn und wird brennen bis in die unterste Hölle; und wird verzehren das Land mit seinem Gewächs und wird anzünden die Grundfeste der Berge. (Sheol h7585)
For a fire has been kindled in My anger, And it burns to the lowest [part] of Sheol, And consumes earth and its increase, And sets on fire [the] foundations of mountains. (Sheol h7585)
Der HERR tötet und machet lebendig, führet in die Hölle und wieder heraus. (Sheol h7585)
YHWH puts to death, and keeps alive, He brings down to Sheol, and brings up. (Sheol h7585)
Der Höllen Bande umfingen mich, und des Todes Stricke überwältigten mich. (Sheol h7585)
The cords of Sheol have surrounded me, The snares of death have been before me. (Sheol h7585)
Tue nach deiner Weisheit, daß du seine grauen Haare nicht mit Frieden hinunter zur Hölle bringest. (Sheol h7585)
and you have done according to your wisdom, and do not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Du aber laß ihn nicht unschuldig sein; denn du bist ein weiser Mann und wirst wohl wissen, was du ihm tun sollst, daß du seine grauen Haare mit Blut hinunter in die Hölle bringest. (Sheol h7585)
and now, do not acquit him, for you [are] a wise man, and you have known that which you do to him, and have brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)

Die Hölle nimmt weg, die da sündigen, wie die Hitze und Dürre das Schneewasser verzehret. (Sheol h7585)
Drought—also heat—consume snow-waters, Sheol—[those who] have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
Die Hölle ist aufgedeckt vor ihm, und das Verderben hat keine Decke. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol [is] naked before Him, And there is no covering to destruction. (Sheol h7585)

Sie liegen in der Hölle wie Schafe, der Tod naget sie; aber die Frommen werden gar bald über sie herrschen, und ihr Trotz muß vergehen, in der Hölle müssen sie bleiben. (Sheol h7585)
They have set themselves as sheep for Sheol, Death afflicts them, And the upright rule over them in the morning, And their form [is] for consumption. Sheol [is] a dwelling for him. (Sheol h7585)

Sheol and destruction [are] before YHWH, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
Der Weg des Lebens gehet überwärts klug zu machen, auf daß man meide die Hölle unterwärts. (Sheol h7585)
A path of life [is] on high for the wise, To turn aside from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)
Du hauest ihn mit der Rute; aber du errettest seine Seele von der Hölle. (Sheol h7585)
You strike him with a rod, And you deliver his soul from Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Hölle und Verderbnis werden nimmer voll, und der Menschen Augen sind auch unsättig. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol and destruction are not satisfied, And the eyes of man are not satisfied. (Sheol h7585)
die Hölle, der Frauen verschlossene Mutter, die Erde wird nicht Wassers satt, und das Feuer spricht nicht: Es ist genug. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol, and a restrained womb, Earth—it [is] not satisfied [with] water, And fire—it has not said, “Sufficiency,” (Sheol h7585)
Alles, was dir vorhanden kommt zu tun, das tue frisch; denn in der Hölle, da du hinfährest, ist weder Werk, Kunst, Vernunft noch Weisheit. (Sheol h7585)
All that your hand finds to do, with your power do, for there is no work, and plan, and knowledge, and wisdom in Sheol to where you are going. (Sheol h7585)
Setze mich wie ein Siegel auf dein Herz und wie ein Siegel auf deinen Arm. Denn Liebe ist stark wie der Tod, und Eifer ist fest wie die Hölle. Ihre Glut ist feurig und eine Flamme des HERRN, (Sheol h7585)
Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm, For strong as death is love, Sharp as Sheol is jealousy, Its burnings [are] burnings of fire, a flame of YAH! (Sheol h7585)
Daher hat die Hölle die Seele weit aufgesperret und den Rachen aufgetan ohne alle Maße, daß hinunterfahren beide, ihre HERRLIchen und Pöbel, beide, ihre Reichen und Fröhlichen, (Sheol h7585)
Therefore Sheol has enlarged herself, And has opened her mouth without limit. And its honor has gone down, and its multitude, And its noise, and its exulting one—into her. (Sheol h7585)
Fordere dir ein Zeichen vom HERRN, deinem Gott, es sei unten in der Hölle oder droben in der Höhe. (Sheol h7585)
“Ask for a sign from your God YHWH, Make the request deep, or make [it] high upwards.” (Sheol h7585)
Die Hölle drunten erzitterte vor dir, da du ihr entgegenkamest. Sie erwecket dir die Toten, alle Böcke der Welt, und heißt alle Könige der Heiden von ihren Stühlen aufstehen, (Sheol h7585)
Sheol beneath has been troubled at you, To meet your coming in, It is waking up Rephaim for you, All chief ones of earth, It has raised up from their thrones All kings of nations. (Sheol h7585)
Deine Pracht ist herunter in die Hölle gefahren samt dem Klange deiner Harfen. Motten werden dein Bett sein und Würmer deine Decke. (Sheol h7585)
Your excellence has been brought down to Sheol, The noise of your stringed instruments, The worm has been spread out under you, Indeed, the worm is covering you. (Sheol h7585)
Ja, zur Hölle fährest du, zur Seite der Grube. (Sheol h7585)
Only—you are brought down to Sheol, To the sides of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Denn ihr sprechet: Wir haben mit dem Tode einen Bund und mit der Hölle einen Verstand gemacht; wenn eine Flut dahergehet, wird sie uns nicht treffen; denn wir haben die Lüge zu unserer Zuflucht und Heuchelei zu unserem Schirm gemacht. (Sheol h7585)
Because you have said: “We have made a covenant with death, And we have made a provision with Sheol, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Does not meet us, Though we have made a lie our refuge, And have been hidden in falsehood.” (Sheol h7585)
daß euer Bund mit dem Tode los werde und euer Verstand mit der Hölle nicht bestehe; und wenn eine Flut dahergehet, wird sie euch zertreten; sobald sie dahergehet, wird sie euch wegnehmen. (Sheol h7585)
And your covenant with death has been annulled, And your provision with Sheol does not stand, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Then you have been to it for a treading-place. (Sheol h7585)
Ich sprach: Nun muß ich zu der Höllen Pforte fahren, da meine Zeit aus war, da ich gedachte noch länger zu leben. (Sheol h7585)
“I said in the cutting off of my days, I go to the gates of Sheol, I have numbered the remnant of my years. (Sheol h7585)

For Sheol does not confess You, Death does not praise You, Those going down to the pit do not hope for Your truth. (Sheol h7585)
Du zeuchst mit Öl zum Könige und hast mancherlei Würze; und sendest deine Botschaft in die Ferne und bist geniedriget bis zur Hölle. (Sheol h7585)
And go joyfully to the king in ointment, And multiply your perfumes, And send your ambassadors far off, And humble yourself to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
So spricht der HERR HERR: Zu der Zeit, da er hinunter in die Hölle fuhr, da machte ich ein Trauern, daß ihn die Tiefe bedeckte, und seine Ströme stillstehen mußten; und die großen Wasser nicht laufen konnten, und machte, daß der Libanon um ihn trauerte und alle Feldbäume verdorreten über ihm. Thus said Lord YHWH: I have caused mourning in the day of his going down to Sheol, I have covered the deep over him, and diminish its flowings, And many waters are restrained, And I make Lebanon black for him, And all trees of the field [have been] a covering for him. (Sheol h7585)
Ich erschreckte die Heiden, da sie ihn höreten fallen, da ich ihn hinunterstieß zur Hölle mit denen, so in die Grube fahren. Und alle lustigen Bäume unter der Erde, die edelsten und besten auf dem Libanon, und alle, die am Wasser gestanden waren, gönneten es ihm wohl. (Sheol h7585)
I have caused nations to shake at the sound of his fall, In My causing him to go down to Sheol, With those going down to the pit, And all trees of Eden are comforted in the lower earth, The choice and good of Lebanon—All drinking waters. (Sheol h7585)

The gods of the mighty speak to him out of the midst of Sheol, With his helpers—they have gone down, They have lain with the uncircumcised, The pierced of the sword. (Sheol h7585)
und alle andern Helden, die unter den Unbeschnittenen gefallen sind und mit ihrer Kriegswehre zur Hölle gefahren und ihre Schwerter unter ihre Häupter haben müssen legen, und ihre Missetat über ihre Gebeine kommen ist, die doch auch gefürchtete Helden waren in der ganzen Welt; also müssen sie liegen. And they do not lie with the mighty, Who are falling of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, And they put their swords under their heads, And their iniquities are on their bones, For the terror of the mighty [is] in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
Aber ich will sie erlösen aus der Hölle und vom Tod erretten. Tod, ich will dir ein Gift sein; Hölle, ich will dir eine Pestilenz sein! Doch ist der Trost vor meinen Augen verborgen. (Sheol h7585)
Will I ransom them from the hand of Sheol? Will I redeem them from death? Where [is] your plague, O death? Where your destruction, O Sheol? Comfort is hid from My eyes. (Sheol h7585)
Und wenn sie sich gleich in die Hölle vergrüben, soll sie doch meine Hand von dannen holen; und wenn sie gen Himmel führen, will ich sie doch herunterstoßen; (Sheol h7585)
If they dig through into Sheol, From there My hand takes them, And if they go up [to] the heavens, From there I cause them to come down. (Sheol h7585)

And he says: “I called, because of my distress, to YHWH, And He answers me, From the belly of Sheol I have cried, You have heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
Aber der Wein betrügt den stolzen Mann, daß er nicht bleiben kann, welcher seine Seele aufsperret wie die Hölle, und ist gerade wie der Tod, der nicht zu sättigen ist, sondern rafft zu sich alle Heiden und sammelt zu sich alle Völker. (Sheol h7585)
And also, because the wine [is] treacherous, A man is haughty, and does not remain at home, Who has enlarged his soul as Sheol, And is as death that is not satisfied, And gathers to itself all the nations, And assembles to itself all the peoples, (Sheol h7585)
Ich aber sage euch: Wer mit seinem Bruder zürnet, der ist des Gerichts schuldig; wer aber zu seinem Bruder sagt: Racha! der ist des Rats schuldig; wer aber sagt: Du Narr! der ist des höllischen Feuers schuldig. (Geenna g1067)
but I say to you that everyone who is angry at his brother without cause will be in danger of the judgment, and whoever may say to his brother, Stupid, will be in danger of the Sanhedrin, and whoever may say, Moron, will be in danger of the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna g1067)

And that sown toward the thorns, this is he who is hearing the word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, chokes the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
Der Feind, der sie säet, ist der Teufel. Die Ernte ist das Ende der Welt. Die Schnitter sind die Engel. (aiōn g165)
and the enemy who sowed them is the Devil, and the harvest is [the] full end of the age, and the reapers are messengers. (aiōn g165)
Gleichwie man nun das Unkraut ausjätet und mit Feuer verbrennet, so wird's auch am Ende dieser Welt gehen. (aiōn g165)
As, then, the darnel is gathered up, and is burned with fire, so will it be in the full end of this age; (aiōn g165)
Also wird es auch am Ende der Welt gehen. Die Engel werden ausgehen und die Bösen von den Gerechten scheiden (aiōn g165)
so will it be in the full end of the age, the messengers will come forth and separate the evil out of the midst of the righteous, (aiōn g165)
Und ich sage dir auch: Du bist Petrus, und auf diesen Felsen will ich bauen meine Gemeinde, und die Pforten der Hölle sollen sie nicht überwältigen. (Hadēs g86)

So aber deine Hand oder dein Fuß dich ärgert, so haue ihn ab und wirf ihn von dir. Es ist dir besser, daß du zum Leben lahm oder als ein Krüppel eingehest, denn daß du zwo Hände oder zwei Füße habest und werdest in das ewige Feuer geworfen. (aiōnios g166)
And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut them off and cast [them] from you; it is good for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the continuous fire. (aiōnios g166)
