Markus 6
1 Und er ging aus von dannen und kam in sein Vaterland; und seine Jünger folgten ihm nach.
And he went out from there and came into his own country, and his disciples followed him.
2 Und da der Sabbat kam, hub er an zu lehren in ihrer Schule: Und viele, die es höreten, verwunderten sich seiner Lehre und sprachen: Woher kommt dem solches? und: Was für Weisheit ist's, die ihm gegeben ist, und solche Taten, die durch seine Hände geschehen?
And when the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things?" and, "What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?
3 Ist er nicht der Zimmermann, Marias Sohn, und der Bruder des Jakobus und Joses und Judas und Simon? Sind nicht auch seine Schwestern allhie bei uns? Und sie ärgerten sich an ihm.
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Josi, Judas, and Simon? Are not his sisters here with us?" They were offended at him.
4 Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet gilt nirgend weniger denn im Vaterland und daheim bei den Seinen.
Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house."
5 Und er konnte allda nicht eine einzige Tat tun; ohne wenig Siechen legte er die Hände auf und heilete sie.
And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them.
6 Und er verwunderte sich ihres Unglaubens. Und er ging umher in die Flecken im Kreis und lehrete.
And he was amazed because of their unbelief. And he went around the villages teaching.
7 Und er berief die Zwölfe und hub an und sandte sie je zwei und zwei und gab ihnen Macht über die unsauberen Geister.
And he called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.
8 Und gebot ihnen, daß sie nichts bei sich trügen auf dem Wege denn allein einen Stab, keine Tasche, kein Brot, kein Geld im Gürtel,
And he commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no pack, no money in their belts,
9 sondern wären geschuhet, und daß sie nicht zwei Röcke anzögen.
but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.
10 Und sprach zu ihnen: Wo ihr in ein Haus gehen werdet, da bleibet innen, bis ihr von dannen ziehet.
And he said to them, "Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.
11 Und welche euch nicht aufnehmen noch hören, da gehet von dannen heraus und schüttelt den Staub ab von euren Füßen zu einem Zeugnis über sie. Ich sage euch: Wahrlich, es wird Sodom und Gomorra am Jüngsten Gerichte erträglicher ergehen denn solcher Stadt.
And if any place will not receive you or listen to you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them."
12 Und sie gingen aus und predigten, man sollte Buße tun.
So they went out and proclaimed that all should repent.
13 Und trieben viele Teufel aus und salbeten viele Sieche mit Öl und machten sie gesund.
They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and healed them.
14 Und es kam vor den König Herodes (denn sein Name war nun bekannt); und er sprach: Johannes der Täufer ist von den Toten auferstanden; darum tut er solche Taten.
King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, "John the Baptist has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him."
15 Etliche aber sprachen: Er ist Elia; etliche aber: Er ist ein Prophet oder einer von den Propheten.
But others said, "He is Elijah." Others said, "He is a prophet, like one of the prophets."
16 Da es aber Herodes hörete, sprach er: Es ist Johannes, den ich enthauptet habe; der ist von den Toten auferstanden.
But Herod, when he heard this, said, "This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen."
17 Er aber, Herodes, hatte ausgesandt und Johannes gegriffen und ins Gefängnis gelegt um der Herodias willen, seines Bruders Philippus Weib; denn er hatte sie gefreiet.
For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, for he had married her.
18 Johannes aber sprach zu Herodes: Es ist nicht recht, daß du deines Bruders Weib habest.
For John said to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife."
19 Herodias aber stellete ihm nach und wollte ihn töten und konnte nicht.
So Herodias set herself against him, and desired to kill him, but she could not,
20 Herodes aber fürchtete Johannes; denn er wußte, daß er ein frommer und heiliger Mann war; und verwahrete ihn und gehorchte ihm in vielen Sachen und hörete ihn gerne.
for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. And when he heard him, he was very perplexed, but he heard him gladly.
21 Und es kam ein gelegener Tag, daß Herodes auf seinen Jahrstag ein Abendmahl gab den Obersten und Hauptleuten und Vornehmsten in Galiläa.
And then a convenient day came, that Herod on his birthday gave a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the leaders of Galilee.
22 Da trat hinein die Tochter der Herodias und tanzete, und gefiel wohl dem Herodes und denen, die am Tisch saßen. Da sprach der König zum Mägdlein: Bitte von mir, was du willst; ich will dir's geben.
And when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young woman, "Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you."
23 Und schwur ihr einen Eid: Was du wirst von mir bitten, will ich dir geben, bis an die Hälfte meines Königreichs.
And he swore to her, "Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom."
24 Sie ging hinaus und sprach zu ihrer Mutter: Was soll ich bitten? Die sprach: Das Haupt Johannes des Täufers.
So she went out, and said to her mother, "What should I ask?" And she said, "The head of John the baptizer."
25 Und sie ging bald hinein mit Eile zum Könige, bat und sprach: Ich will, daß du mir gebest jetzt sobald auf einer Schüssel das Haupt Johannes des Täufers.
And she came in immediately with haste to the king, and asked, "I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter."
26 Der König ward betrübt; doch um des Eides willen und derer, die am Tische saßen, wollte er sie nicht lassen eine Fehlbitte tun.
And the king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths, and those reclining, he did not wish to refuse her.
27 Und bald schickte hin der König den Henker und hieß sein Haupt herbringen. Der ging hin und enthauptete ihn im Gefängnis.
So immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring John's head, and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
28 Und trug her sein Haupt auf einer Schüssel und gab's dem Mägdlein, und das Mägdlein gab's ihrer Mutter.
and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young woman; and the young woman gave it to her mother.
29 Und da das seine Jünger höreten, kamen sie und nahmen seinen Leib und legten ihn in ein Grab.
And when his disciples heard this, they came and took up his corpse, and placed it in a tomb.
30 Und die Apostel kamen zu Jesu zusammen und verkündigten ihm das alles, und was sie getan und gelehret hatten.
Then the apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.
31 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Lasset uns besonders in eine Wüste gehen und ruhet ein wenig. Denn ihrer war viel, die ab und zu gingen, und hatten nicht Zeit genug zu essen.
And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to an isolated place, and rest awhile." For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 Und er fuhr da in einem Schiff zu einer Wüste besonders.
So they went away in the boat to an isolated place by themselves.
33 Und das Volk sah sie wegfahren, und viele kannten ihn und liefen daselbst hin miteinander zu Fuß aus allen Städten und kamen ihnen zuvor und kamen zu ihm.
But they saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities and they arrived before them.
34 Und Jesus ging heraus und sah das große Volk; und es jammerte ihn derselben, denn sie waren wie die Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben; und fing an eine lange Predigt.
And he came out, saw a large crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.
35 Da nun der Tag fast dahin war, traten seine Jünger zu ihm und sprachen: Es ist wüste hier, und der Tag ist nun dahin.
And when it was late in the day, his disciples came to him, and said, "This place is desolate, and it is late in the day.
36 Laß sie von dir, daß sie hingehen umher in die Dörfer und Märkte und kaufen sich Brot; denn sie haben nicht zu essen.
Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages, and buy themselves something to eat."
37 Jesus aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Gebet ihr ihnen zu essen! Und sie sprachen zu ihm: Sollen wir denn hingehen und zweihundert Pfennig wert Brot kaufen und ihnen zu essen geben?
But he answered them, "You give them something to eat." And they said to him, "Are we to go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread, and give them something to eat?"
38 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wieviel Brote habt ihr? Gehet hin und sehet! Und da sie es erkundet hatten, sprachen sie: Fünf und zwei Fische.
He said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go see." When they knew, they said, "Five, and two fish."
39 Und er gebot ihnen, daß sie sich alle lagerten bei Tischen voll auf das grüne Gras.
He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.
40 Und sie setzten sich nach Schichten, je hundert und hundert, fünfzig und fünfzig.
They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties.
41 Und er nahm die fünf Brote und zwei Fische und sah auf gen Himmel und dankete und brach die Brote und gab sie den Jüngern, daß sie ihnen vorlegten; und die zwei Fische teilete er unter sie alle.
He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.
42 Und sie aßen alle und wurden satt.
They all ate, and were filled.
43 Und sie huben auf die Brocken, zwölf Körbe voll, und von den Fischen.
They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.
44 Und die da gegessen hatten, der waren fünftausend Mann.
Those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.
45 Und alsbald trieb er seine Jünger, daß sie in das Schiff träten und vor ihm hinüberführen gen Bethsaida, bis daß er das Volk von sich ließe.
And immediately he made his disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself was sending the crowd away.
46 Und da er sie von sich geschafft hatte, ging er hin auf einen Berg, zu beten.
After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.
47 Und am Abend war das Schiff mitten auf dem Meer und er auf dem Lande alleine.
When evening had come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he was alone on the land.
48 Und er sah, daß sie Not litten im Rudern; denn der Wind war ihnen entgegen. Und um die vierte Wache der Nacht kam er zu ihnen und wandelte auf dem Meer.
He saw them distressed in rowing, for the wind was against them. In the watch between three and six in the morning he came to them, walking on the sea, and he would have passed by them,
49 Und er wollte vor ihnen übergehen. Und da sie ihn sahen auf dem Meer wandeln, meineten sie, es wäre ein Gespenst, und schrieen.
but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and began to scream;
50 Denn sie sahen ihn alle und erschraken. Aber alsbald redete er mit ihnen und sprach zu ihnen: Seid getrost; ich bin's fürchtet euch nicht!
for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them, and said to them, "Cheer up. It is I. Do not be afraid."
51 Und trat zu ihnen ins Schiff, und der Wind legte sich. Und sie entsetzten sich und verwunderten sich über die Maßen.
And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were completely profusely astonished among themselves;
52 Denn sie waren nichts verständiger worden über den Broten, und ihr Herz war erstarret.
for they had not understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.
53 Und da sie hinübergefahren waren, kamen sie in das Land Genezareth und fuhren an.
When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore.
54 Und da sie aus dem Schiff traten, alsbald kannten sie ihn
When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,
55 und liefen alle in die umliegenden Länder und huben an, die Kranken umherzuführen auf Betten, wo sie höreten, daß er war.
and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick, on their mats, to where they heard he was.
56 Und wo er in die Märkte oder Städte oder Dörfer einging, da legten sie die Kranken auf den Markt und baten ihn, daß sie nur den Saum seines Kleides an rühren möchten. Und alle, die ihn anrühreten, wurden gesund.
Wherever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they placed the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch just the fringe of his garment; and everyone who touched him were made well.
